Since my city shut down I have made wings in my air fryer, falafel, sausages and your Milk Bread recipe. My kids are having a blast and i have spent some amazing time in the kitchen feeding my family. Be safe and thanks for all the content!
I like how you don't mind experimenting and even messing up on your videos and then admitting when you do. Most cooking channels act like everything they make is the best thing they've ever smelled and tasted which doesn't help us that are watching to learn.
I think I have watched almost all of your videos, and what I like the most is your experimental spirit. Most TV cooking shows always present everything as perfect, but as we all know, not all recipes turn out perfectly in the kitchen. There are disappointments too, and you are not trying to hide that. Thank you for showing the real side of cooking. It makes your content so much more relatable and inspiring.
I recently learned to put the whole egg without cracking it into the airfryer to make hard boiled egg and also soft boiled egg, they are always perfect. For soft boiled egg, I set 300F 9 min, hard boiled egg, 300F 11 min
I just discovered your channel looking for air fryer recipes. Love it. I’m a “domestic chef” and cook daily, I can’t wait to try your recipes with my mother’s day gift. Thanks!!
Thanks for your content. I'm a mother of two who never cooks...until now. I've been in my house for 4 weeks in Los Angeles and have been enjoying cooking for my family. Since I don't really do it, I've turned to youtube for help. We had an air fryer and your videos have been very helpful for a newbie, thank you!
I am so pleased that I finally bought an air fryer - and especially pleased that I paid attention to the positive reviews of other users, and decided on this one ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . It is just perfect for the two of us, and takes up very little space on my small countertop. I roasted salmon filets for dinner tonight and they were the best ever - slightly crispy on the outside but moist inside. Best of all, no smelly kitchen or difficult clean-up. My only complaint would be the lack of even a few printed recipes to get started. My generation does not find it easy to access the QR code and use the smart phone app. I bought a recipe book instead, which gave me the confidence to experiment.
That feeling, watching this at the end of 2021 and wondering if I missed out on trying to up my cooking game simply cause I work in an essential service and never actually quarantined because pharmacy can't shut down.... wondering if I can find time to binge watch all these videos and try to up my game on weekends 🤔
Same here, Samantha. So many feelings as I watch... and Mike has inspired me to incrementally up my game when I have time to get into the kitchen. Keep watching, he's great!
You're not alone! I've wondered the same thing, specially after talking to friends and hearing how they finally had time to do this thing or that. Whenever they start talking about how it was "in quarantine" I have to just kind of stand there and bite my tongue while nodding politely. I don't want to seem like I don't care, but the truth is I can't relate to their experience at all. Oh well. Hang in there my fellow pharmacy worker!
Hi there from Hong Kong. We've been basically quarantined since 25 January. We have no oven here, just an air fryer in our tiny apartment. These types of videos are giving us so much joy! Thank you!
Just got an air fryer, so your video is very helpful and inspiring. Also, like the way you worked in your ad sponsor into the video, brilliant and slick!
Use butter on the bread and run it for 5 minutes then flip and 5 minutes on the other side. Perfect grilled cheese. I’ve been doing this for my family for several months, they love it.
Ok I've gone through 3 videos so far and I'm obsessed 😍😍😍!!!! Someone just suggested you to me and I can't thank them enough!!!! Keep up the air fryer foods!!! I'm hooked!!!
One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start cooking more and boy did I pick a good year to do it. These air fryer videos give me so many ideas on stuff to make with just one appliance so keep them coming if you can.
You're a messy cook and I like that! It was such a fun video to watch. Praying you stayed healthy and safe during this quarantine and beyond. Blessings!
This hurts to watch a year later. How hopeful we all were that covid was just going to pass without issues 🥺🥺 the hot lava jelly part had me cracking up
I get the feeling the Brothers Green days are over because it seems like they had a disagreement on the direction to take the channel or some other reason to part ways (marriage?). Sadly, they definitely did better together than after they split apart, but those styles of videos are probably never gonna come back. :(
if thats a genuine question, it's fries from the day before, you bought it, a day passed and they're kinda soggy. put it in the air frier it seems like they're new. was that it?
After fish and chip day it's often 'Chippie-Tata' day for us. Make a fritatta or a Spanish omelette with the leftover chips. Yum. But yeah, I was an early adopter of the air-fryer will never be without again. Leftover chips, reheated chicken from the CFK place (ha!) it's always nearly always better the next day.
Thank you! My air fryer arrived 4 days ago and I love it so far. I will definitely be using my oven a lot less for day to day cooking. It goes a long way having pros like yourself, Sam the Cooking Guy, Chef John, Gordon Ramsey (even if he is compensated by Philips), and coming up(?) Alex, show the learning curve and the innovative ways to use this very handy appliance. I don't do gadgets for the sake of just having one, I need to put my tools to good use. Don't have a lot of space either so I don't have a food processor because I have a good knife, no blender either but a friend gave me a nutri-bullet, My mortar and pestle are not decorative items although I do have a coffee grinder that I now use as a dedicated spice grinder. Thanks to you and the others I have mentioned, I can focus on refining techniques while also refining the recipes to suit my taste and needs. I have food allergies and plain dislikes for certain ingredients. Sorry for the long post but I have wanted to express my appreciation for a long time.
Here’s a cheese sauce hack I figured out while backpacking and had leftover cheese on the last night. Use instant mash potatoes to make a very runny mash potato then mix your cheese in. It gives the cheese a nice binder, and you can’t taste the potatoes. Backcountry Fondue! (Or dorm room?)
I have an air fryer that is still in the box. I had no idea it was basically a convection oven . I will be using it now. That french toast and the quiche look amazing. Thank you for all the "tests" you ran for us so we don't have to waste food trying everything ourselves. Thanks also for leaving in your limited mistakes so that we can avoid them, saving food again.
I watched this at 2am when I was up with pregnancy nausea. Thank you for being the only comforting thing on suggested videos. ❤️ Except when you were poking around with the “broken” cheese sauce-I had to look away to not puke. 😂
Watching this in December ....it just brings it all back. I'm a teacher in Chicago and ...it's not the ideal situation but ....gotta get more on top of this thing.
I loved your cooking on the fly at the end there. The adventure belongs not so much in knowing where you are going, but more of how you got there. The trial and error approach was perfect and promotes how we all should engage in our kitchen experiments.
I have been experimenting with my airfryer for a while too. My alternative recipe was rice wraps for spring rolls with the apple pie stuffing, and some egg\milk washing. 10\10 Would recommend. Hope you can get some more air fryer recipes in your studio soon-ish.
Bought my husband an air fryer specifically for leftovers lol. Now we are actually foraging into cooking in it. Used your method for hot wings last night and they turned out great!
So if you use the ring mold idea for the quiche (albeit slightly larger) so there is room for the air to have that convection oven goodness, your quiche should bake on the bottom. Good luck!
I used English muffins as the crust for my quiche recipe, and I liked it so much better than pie crust. I sliced the crust off the muffins, arranged them in a baking dish, and cut thin strips of the muffin for the side crust. It was so delicious this way.
Watching your channel was what pushed me to actually get an air fryer! Keep it up! I totally dig that you still show the fails...helps with new ideas... appreciate the content.
For your quiche - given that the filling was solid enough I usually pop the slices back in upside down for a quick hight burst on the base. That crisps it up nicely!

From Portland OR. You are awesome! I cook at home all the time. I have been cooking since I was 10 years old and I found you because I was looking at making sour dough bread, BUT I found all this awesomeness you were also doing. We, thankfully, already can a lot, every year, we grow a lot of veggies in our quarter acre and we have our own chickens for eggs. BUT! I am super thankfully for you and your channel, because, even though I am already a pretty pro home cook, it is always great to get inspiration from other awesome cooks, like you. You have definitely helped me add a lot of new ideas to our recipes! Most of which I don't have recipes for, I just cook. Tonight, in fact I made your brioche hamburger buns and my own version of smokey secret sauce with my own homemade liquid smoke (Alton Brown, thought me that one) and we had some awesome burgers, with the help of you and him. Thanks for all you do!
I never have these "staples" just laying around my pantry - I'm so used to buying food for the sole purpose of a particular meal. I guess I need to change my grocery game in these times.
😂 u even used the air fryer to make your chz sauce, that's awesome. Really good channel. Simple but creative and delicious food. I like how you emphasize ppl taking thr own spin on your recipes. Ppl always think they HAVE to use the same ingredients like the same vegg or same milk or whatever. And so cooking becomes daunting to them because of what may be different or "specialty" ingredients. Verses them using what they know and like. Thank you all for the awesome channel👍
Hello wonderful human 😊I just wanted to acknowledge my appreciation to you for clarifying budget friendly foods to eat unto your audience & how they can use what they already have & their oven if that’s all they have😊I mean use a grille if ya have too✨✨✨your kindness & consideration has really helped people to not panic & be calm & know it’s ok even tho you are subjecting foods ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊in all honesty you personally may not need to be budget friendly in life anymore but your caring toward all people who may be in this reality & maybe worse-❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😊✨💫
My theory as to why the quiche (and also the deep dish pizza from another episode) won't get crispy on the bottom is that the air needs to circulate underneath the "grate". And when it's blocked completely by the dough, no air gets the chance to make that part of the dish crispy. If I were to make a pizza or quiche in an air fryer, I'd keep the dough part smaller than the size of the grate, to make sure the air flow is circulaating.
for pie crust you want to make sure you don't cut off the airflow. I use a ramekin in the airfryer which keeps the airflow and is way easier to remove.
Oh My this video is AMAZING! I'm waiting for my Air Fryer to be shipped any day now and after seeing this video you gave me so many great ideas and i really appreciate that. Everything you made came out looking delicious. Thanks for sharing...subbed
Cook the Pie Crust as you did in video. Remove after eggs finish cooking then place in scorchin' hot cast iron pan to brown the bottom of pie crust it should chrispin up bottom of pie dough. JFFT. Keep up the amazing videos brother!
I wish you could add pictures here, I was inspired and made some "pop tarts" today. Blueberry preserves from last summer and homemade pie crust from the freezer, they turned out amazing and were a delightful little treat!
Going back to the deep dish pizza. I was thinking if you par bake the crust and then flip it over and par bake it again. Then add your toppings. I've done that myself and you're right about the airflow. You need as much airflow as you can get. Stay safe and thank you for your inspiration and your ideas.
I just got an instapot air fryer and was looking for recipes for it when I stumbled across this video! You have some great ideas that I definitely want to try 😊
a food technologist speaking, regarding the quiche...indeed you need the air to circulate in order to get a crispy bottom. Thats why it doesnt work with pies because dough cover all the holes, so air cant circulate.
This is my guest. The pie crust (and pizza dough in another video) didn’t work because you sealed the bottom off. Heat only comes from the top, then it’s circulated around the fryer using the fan. When you seal/obstruct the sides and bottom with the dough, there is no air getting to the bottom. You shouldn’t cover the bottom entirely, it will probably not work.
I got around it by letting it proof inside the airfryer, and then I carefully took out the dough, put it in the largest nonstick skillet I had, and just cooked the bottom for like 2-3 minutes on high (until I saw smoke). Then I followed the recipe and it came out awesome with a cooked bottom! Though I did prefer the doughy bottom from last time... Hypothetically I could've just cooked the whole thing first in the airfryer and THEN put it in the pan to cook the bottom... actually, I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know how that turns out
@@mjohnsimon1337 I was thinking you could flip it over on a piece of foil and do a fast 2 min 380 to finish it off? I'm really new am waiting for my new instant pot with fryer to arrive and found YOU! Of course I subscribed YOU are really knowledgeable
So many reviews. I recently found this channel. You do amazing things with food. My take on the quiche crust is brown the crust a little before pouring filling inside. Keep up the good teach!
This happened with the pizza he tried in another of his videos on the channel. When air can't reach underneath, the base stays par-cooked. But I see how it would be great if there _were_ a hack to make a complete air fryer quiche. Edit: Solved! The answer is to place the pastry in a smaller diameter dish, then place that on a trivet (my 'Gourmia' came with one). Still await a solution for a _full-width_ quiche!
the puff pastry needs steam to puff up, so put some water in the fryer the cheese needs starch to bond with the milk, like in fondue the pie crust needs to be baked before you put in the filling, otherwise it will be soggy
Cooking in itself is a “craft” so to speak. Being crafty is a necessity when cooking. Just open your fridge and make something with what you have. A lot of ingredients can be substituted by others and even though it will change the recipe, it will still be as good/bad as it would have. Of course there are some ingredients that can’t be swapped, but that’s the exception not the rule.
i love how honest this video is. not pretending everything is amazing.
Dude, you and your brother got me into chefin up in the kitchen when I was like 17-18 and it honestly changed the way I see food.

Maybe use ramekins and make little mini quiches instead of one big one so you get more of the convection air flow going
This is the kind of video I miss from the Bros Green days. Just trying a bunch of shit out and seeing what works. Love it!
With the quiche. When you first baked the pastry just needed longer. What you had is what us brits call a soggy bottom. Great videos 👍
Tried the pop tarts, I love it, they came out wonderful. I didn’t have confectionary sugar so I sprinkled a little raw sugar on top, cake out great
What a coincident, I just got myself an air fryer so I will be following you for a while
Almost week 5 of isolation, its the videos like this keeping my sanity intact. Id still be eating plain pasta and rice
Cook it (the quiche) in a pan in the air fryer I’ve had luck that way, also reheat you quiche and the bottom crust will be great!
for pie crust you want to make sure you don't cut off the airflow.

Aaaand two years later COVID still sucks. And air-fryers still rock. Times change, but things stay the same
I'm going to try most of these recipes. Thanks so much for the inspo ❤
Hi! I'm from the future, Quarantine is still going on...

Hi! I am from Future’s future.
We are still quarantined 🥲
Cook the Pie Crust as you did in video. Remove after eggs finish cooking then place in scorchin' hot cast iron pan to brown the bottom of pie crust it should chrispin up bottom of pie dough. JFFT. Keep up the amazing videos brother!
This whole thing is going to spawn an entire generation of half decent home cooks

I love you you don't waste food!!! Hardley ever see that in cooking videos.
I wish you could add pictures here, I was inspired and made some "pop tarts" today. Blueberry preserves from last summer and homemade pie crust from the freezer, they turned out amazing and were a delightful little treat!
Just a question, did you do them on airfry or bake? Thanks.
Going back to the deep dish pizza. I was thinking if you par bake the crust and then flip it over and par bake it again. Then add your toppings. I've done that myself and you're right about the airflow. You need as much airflow as you can get.
Stay safe and thank you for your inspiration and your ideas.
I never thought about the homemade pop tarts but I'm going to try them !
If you par bake the crust upside down so it gets better texture, then flip it over and fill
@michelle hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here
yipee, glad I found your channel from the person you recreated the pie from! (btw they are from hong kong not south korea!)
I just got an instapot air fryer and was looking for recipes for it when I stumbled across this video! You have some great ideas that I definitely want to try 😊
@sharon hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
If you dont have a ring mold you can use the ring from a mason jar lid! 😊
a food technologist speaking, regarding the quiche...indeed you need the air to circulate in order to get a crispy bottom.
When you cover the whole bottom of the basket it doesn’t allow heat to circulate underneath so the bottom will be undercooked
Thank you for sharing all the Airfryer receipt. Saved and shared.👍🏻
the puff pastry needs steam to puff up, so put some water in the fryer
the cheese needs starch to bond with the milk, like in fondue
the pie crust needs to be baked before you put in the filling, otherwise it will be soggy
Your air fryer videos are my favorite!!! I never knew you could roll out bread like that to make a crust!
