    Im pretty sure you can use a calculator on the mc and that there is a penalty for giving an incorrect answer on the frqs

      Check out this article about the penalty for guessing being removed: www.insidehighered.com/news/2010/08/10/guess

      Knowvio But, at least for physics 1. You DO get a calculator throughout

      Jonah Langlieb You are right. They must have changed this from past years. I will make add an annotation correcting this.

    Well yes, you can use the formula sheet and info sheet, but based on a few full-length sim tests I have taken so far for AP Physics 1 my personal suggestion is: don't rely on that. Some very important things are lost on the sheet. Example: the beat frequency formula, the Doppler's effect formula, the frequency of the wave/length of the tube with both open ends/closed at one end/closed at both ends formula, the velocity of the wave formula(the tension force related one), the linear and angular momentum formula(L=rP), the most powerful(personal opinion) kinematics formula(2ax=Vfinal^2-Vinitial^2), the decibel formula, the electrical charge formula(Q=ne and n must be integer)......There are a lot of formulas that are not included on the formula sheet. Also, going back to the sheet to find the corresponding formula for some problems is time consuming and normally people don't have much time for Multiple Choice Section. Thus the best thing to do is to prepare beforehand and memorize with the knowledge of how those formulas work and when to use them.
    Last, wish myself good luck tomorrow......

      @@hichaeljordan963 Yeah I took the Physics 1 exam 3 years ago. Overall it was extremely hard and I sadly didn't pass. I would not be the best person to answer to this question. But I took calc- based physics1 and 2 in college and found that understanding and learning how to use the formulas are very important.

    YOU ALMOST SCARED THE SH*T OUT OF ME BEFORE THE TEST

  • @yuhoseok47
    @yuhoseok47 8 років тому +2

    I just took it today. It was mostly similar to what my teacher had handed out before. But, I did not even study for AP Physics, because I am toooooo lazy... It was just a challenge for me. I did not expect to pass either. But I am kind of confident about my AP Cal test for some reasons. People say that AP Physics C is based on Calculus, but it is way harder because you have to know what equations you have to use and how to convert equations to other equations. It is... super awful. But one good part of the AP exams is that the FRQs are super huge, so you can get a passing grade even though you mess up the multiple choice questions.
