Not only common sense, it's in Chinese culture / gene,天地君亲师,teachers are among the top 5 to be respected (after heaven, earth, emperor, parents). While in Chicago downtown... (everyone shooting at everyone)
I am teaching in UK. From my own experience, I agree that parents in China are more supportive for teachers than the parents in UK (not sure other western countries). Also the students in China are more likely to want to learn and work hard.
@@mulanfa1292 I watched some videos about teaching in USA classroom. The learning environment and student behaviours were good in the videos I watched, even I heard a lot of gun shooting in USA schools. Well, teaching in USA is my last option anyway, I dont want to get shot while teaching a class.
It is always easy to blame the teachers when your kids are not doing well in school, and that is true for many western countries. It is always easy to blame others, and right now a big part of the western media blames China for genocide against the Islamic population, and the we in the western have killed millions of Muslims the last 30 years.
Teacher is one of the most rewarding and respected vocation in China. In Chinese culture teachers are highly respected by students and parents, and Chinese parents put great importance on children's education. Many foreign teachers feel great pleasure while teaching in China. Hope you always enjoy teaching in China! 😊
Chinese parents attach great importance to education. China's traditional culture is to respect teachers and respect knowledge. In China's traditional values, Teachers are almost equal to parents. A good teacher should also be appreciated and loved by the students for life. Many students will visit their teacher in the hospital before they passed. This is also my humble wish. I wish you a happy life in China. Thank you for your effort.
Thanks for your informative, objective and truthful vlogs. Always a joy to watch. It is amazing that China, which was once closed to many countries, have now become a country of opportunities. Many citizens of other countries are moving to work in China not just as English teachers, but also in various technology, technical and administrative jobs. This shows the significant progress and advancements taking place in the new China. From your videos, China is so peaceful and beautiful. Yvon, enjoy your job and travels in China, and keep up with your vlogs which are enjoyed by many around the world, including me from Malaysia. Thanks. 👏👏👏💐 Blessings. Stay safe and enjoy life.

Some of the articles I read online about food safety and security in China scare me, regarding fake foods etcetera. I hope they are not true or are blown out of proportion, as it’s the only aspect making me hesitant to apply. I am still researching. Do you have to be careful regarding what you eat? I appreciate videos with positive vibes about China.
Many people get food poisoning and affect their health every year in every country. It is not only happening in China. I remember that a rat/mouse was found in a pack of bread from a supermarket in UK. I am not going to think that a mouse/rat is in every bread in UK. All I can suggest for you food safety concerns in China is to buy the food from big supermarkets and eat in proper restaurants.
