Lily has to be the nicest person ever, my goodness hanging around all sorts of mixed, mean, prejudice and vicious people over 45 years and still kind and gentle GOD BLESS her and Jane✝️💟😍
"I discovered not to apologize before putting my two-cents in...I cut that out and left the set feeling very empowered." Why did I find that so touching? Why am I tearing up right now? No matter, I'm glad for it. Beautiful ladies, both. These variety interactions make me like people, to see how beautiful it is to have two people with similar experiences sharing an experience together...until I read some other people's comments....then I feel people are shit again. Reality.
How about changing your name. You deserve a better moniker. P.s Forget other peoples comments. Everyone needs to vent. Kinda like therapy for some maybe.
These ladies are riot!! I love all their interviews! I can learn a lot from them. They are now my inspiration. Love them in Grace & Frankie! Best of luck to them!😘😘
amy schumer took control of this situation in a really beautiful way. She's really commanding yet deferential to an awesome old kickass figure like Lily Tomlin. WOOT WOOT
Omg now I feel old, cuz what the young ppl are calling an awkward interchange between these two wonderfully talented ladies I thought was exactly how it was supposed to be...the young talented Amy being thrilled to be in Lily's company and a little scared as well I think....I bet Ms Tomlin was pretty taken by her for being like that. Great to see that cuz it doesn't happen too much anymore. I really was proud of Amy for doing that and let me tell you I am now a hard core fan of hers for life! Thanks for putting it on here One more thing I want to add to this... I am now in my fifties and unfortunately my health has decided to go to a not so wonderful place, so because of this I have found myself being in treatment with not only with ppl my age and younger, but a large number of ppl a lot older than myself as well. What a wonderful blessing in disguise for me. I love meeting them and find myself gravitating towards them more and more and I don't even want to talk as much because I want to listen to them more...wow if only I hadn't been so conceited in thinking that because I was younger than them then I had to be way more savy about this life thing cuz what could they teach me?.... History no thanks and let's throw in youth?....no thanks what can they teach me about life when they haven't lived it yet....Omg what an idiot I was and trust me I am pretty ashamed of myself for it you can bet. Hey so glad I no longer think like that cuz that kind of thinking only leads to you being out there in the cold by yourself and haven't got the first clue to getting yourself out by yourself and brother let me tell you thats what getting sick is like that for me and thank God for opening my eyes up cuz I have so many more weapons to fight this awful disease with. Thanks to everyone who is young, old or middle aged like myself, because each group has so much for me to draw upon and I find so much strength from that and it does feel so empowering!!! Hopefully my little story can help someone not be blinded by ageism... Please take full advantage of the wisdom you can receive from everyone... Its so easy cuz all you have to do is listen with an open mind and a wonderful spirit and let the magic begin!! God Bless
You Can't Go In There is one of my favorite Inside Amy Schumer skits, brilliant (as is most things she does). This was a very respectful interview, on both of their parts.
Wilson23 Yep, Lily Taylor played her daughter Honey in Short Cuts. I haven’t seen Short Cuts in a LONG time, but I think Robert Downey Jr. played Lily Taylor’s husband Bill, if I’m remembering correctly. Short Cuts was made back in 93, so I think the only thing Lili Taylor had really been in prior to that was Say Anything with Jon Cusack & Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts.
You noticed that too? It was nice to see her so relaxed around Amy, especially after seeing her interactions with Hemsworth on the Graham Norton episode.
David Adams yes. I did. And now that I see this video again, after all the Amy Schumer issues with stealing jokes, I cringed when she said they did a "homage" to 9 to 5 movie.
Lily Tomlin got me here. Very underrated - her career should have been richer. Trainwreck was too slutty for me - could not finish it. Amy isn't my thing.
I like both of them, But I will have to say, this was a very awkward interview. They should of went out for drinks and got to know each other a little bit before they tried to pull this off. Very hard to watch. I dont understand, because I like both of them.
I think she tries too hard because of the saying "women aren't funny" but by her trying so hard she makes herself not funny 😂 and she always jokes about the same shit. Being a drunk slut lol. That's why she was able to write train wreck
+MrLasveguinhas yeah, i read your comment at like the 2 minute mark and was like, nah, maybe he's wrong. but no...as time goes on, it's pretty clear. it's pretty fucking awkward.
Jarrell Jones yes, a lot of awkward silence moments after Amy's jokes, looks like she's always in character. maybe a defense mechanism? idk, but it's bad, she should try to keep it serious sometimes.
+MrLasveguinhas Not sure there was that much chemistry between them. I adore Amy Schumer, but this phase of Schumer's career is baby steps, compared to Lily, who over fifty years has proven to be one of the great artists of our time. (Her broadway one woman shows, I mean.) Schumer may evolve into that. I'd love to see it, and I assume she will--she's really terrific. But Lily? That woman is on a whole other level.
that is one hideous dress. she obviously dressed herself and did her own hair.......if you consider hair severly tied back in a ponytail intentional. talk about low budget!
Lily has to be the nicest person ever, my goodness hanging around all sorts of mixed, mean, prejudice and vicious people over 45 years and still kind and gentle GOD BLESS her and Jane✝️💟😍

i dont normally comment on here often, but i stand with you in that statement 150%
How about changing your name. You deserve a better moniker.

lily tomlin one of a kind....so funny with amy schumer
People: there is no awkwardness here!! This is what normal conversation sounds like without a laugh track!!
This is a wonderful conversation. Thanks.
lily tomlin is closing in on 80... she's incredibly sharp for 76!! :)
That's right! I forget she's that old. she reminds me of being in her late 50's, early 60's.
And beautiful :)
I don't sense any awkwardness. They are both such hilarious pros!
Great episode. Amy was really genuine. Lily Tomlin is one of the greats!
I wish Lily Tomlin was my grandma
Kelly Davis 😂
These ladies are riot!! I love all their interviews! I can learn a lot from them. They are now my inspiration. Love them in Grace & Frankie! Best of luck to them!😘😘

I have more respect for both of them after this interview.

I live with a girl who grew up with Amy and she says, this is how Amy has always been.
Sonja Dawn i get that
Just such an amazing women! I love this interview. Thx
I live for Amy!
anyone remember the telephone lady on "Rowan and Martin's Laugh In"? LOVE LILY, LOVE AMY
This is one of the coolest videos I've ever seen. Just...........WOW! (Clapping)
Nice chat. Love these two women!!!
I love Lily!!!!♡♡♡♡
I don't see the awkwardness other people are talking about.
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Lily is. The BEST!! Never can be replicated
it's strange to watch two celebrities just talk about each other & compliment each other lol
I love Amy!!
two of my favorite people
Love 'em both!!!
I love the idea of Tina Fey and Paul Rudd like giddy little kids excited to ask Lily Tomlin questions.
Jamie Garton 😂
You Can't Go In There is one of my favorite Inside Amy Schumer skits, brilliant (as is most things she does). This was a very respectful interview, on both of their parts.
I love Lilly Tomlin
Lily is so great. I wish they would have paired her with someone other than schumer.
This is THE BEST Actors on Actors yet!
It's a choice...poly or mono ...CHOOSE!!!! Neither is right, both are correct.
in Love
Lilly Tomlin and Lilly Taylor in one movie? What? How did I miss that? I ve watched Short cuts few times.
Wilson23 Yep, Lily Taylor played her daughter Honey in Short Cuts. love these two
She says "I'm a good driver" and Amy is trying not to laugh...
Km/h(pompom uponí7679 pool on in8 i.e. UN yay hoof f 44g hoodlum Jon
lily a comedic legend, amy umm she's trying I guess?
Train wreck is my movie
I thought she was Jon Travoltas mom……
Lilly are u sure ur not Travoltas mom???
No, she's definetly not!
Alright ladies
She is like the coolest lesbian idol I have ever
Oh I really don’t like Amy but I really love Lily
Wow! Lily Tomlin is so different with Amy. She was so rude to Chris Hemsworth in The Norton Graham Show.
Lily deserves better
Amy!!! Learn to not interrupt when you're interviewing someone! God!
They deserve each other. Bye!
Lily Tomlin got me here. Very underrated - her career should have been richer. Trainwreck was too slutty for me - could not finish it. Amy isn't my thing.
Lily Tomlin must be wondering why they had Amy Schumer interview her. Lily is a good sport.
I like both of them, But I will have to say, this was a very awkward interview. They should of went out for drinks and got to know each other a little bit before they tried to pull this off. Very hard to watch.
I dont understand, because I like both of them.
Charles Miller Same.
This is really awkward. Like Schumer is really trying to make an effort here but Tomlin is great!
+Brad M I agree! I love Amy Schumer but I feel like she was trying really hard but seems like she legit is a true Lily fan
was Judd going to give you anything if you were not jewish, Amy....?
Ummm...Amy is not even funny. I don't know why she's even with an Hollywood legend?
Amy Tumour..
Amy Schumer, actress, really???
i find amy to be so overrated.
Don't you mean, overweighted? Ba dum tsss.
How can someone who gets nothing but consistent hate be overrated
Mooooooooo
DrCash7 Translation: "Hi. I'm twelve!"
The Tori Spelling comment was vindictive and clearly took Lily off-guard.
a little awkward
Didn't like Amy to much....... she tries to hard to be funny!
exactly
I think she tries too hard because of the saying "women aren't funny" but by her trying so hard she makes herself not funny 😂 and she always jokes about the same shit. Being a drunk slut lol. That's why she was able to write train wreck
wow what an akward interview. amy seems not to be able to sustain a normal conversation, always seems like she's in a talk show.
MrLasveguinhas
i think she may be star struck
+MrLasveguinhas Not sure there was that much chemistry between them. (Her broadway one woman shows, I mean.) Schumer may evolve into that. I'd love to see it, and I assume she will--she's really terrific. But Lily? That woman is on a whole other level.
+MrLasveguinhas most comedians are the most insecure people ever. if they don't get laughs, they start to panic
Dreadfully uncomfortable. Kudos to Lily for hanging in there. Amy Schumer? Why???
My God, Amy is just obnoxious. Does she have to start every sentence with a sarcastic joke? It was getting PAINFULLY old, it's ridiculous.
that is one hideous dress. she obviously dressed herself and did her own hair.......if you consider hair severly tied back in a ponytail intentional. talk about low budget!
