    I saw one in person this weekend in Black Sapphire Metallic. It was stunning. The fender flares are so wide it looks like a DTM race car. And The base model is pretty affordable considering the performance. And it has a manual if you want it. 👍🏻

    Similar standard spec except in red and having come from a Mk3 RS Focus and being my first BMW, this is a beast of a car. Like you, love the rear end don't care what others think. The buckets are brilliant although still not mastered the art of getting in/out even after 4 months of ownership. Only addition is Zunsport radiator protectors at the front plus the oil radiator underneath.

    @RemoveBeforeRace great honest review. Subscribed.
    BTW, as we do tune cars, the M2 2025 will have a little more boost pressure and timing in the engine mapping, for your understanding it is very similar mapping to the outgoing G80/G82 M3/M4👍🏻 Also the M3/4 LCi will have a little bit different mapping as well. All 2025 M2/3/4 will have a slight bump in power 👍🏻 Hope my english is not so bad. 🙏🏼

      @@erenylmazer356 Yeah I was close on the M2, having previously owned a 135i DCT coupe I wanted something a bit different this time. Also I really love a convertible for back road blasts in the summer. I’ve stripped the GPF out of mine and it sounds better, though I reckon and the proper M exhaust on the M2 might sound better. Finally, the weight, I guessed the Z might be a bit more fun if it was a little lighter than the M2? Prob not much in it though. I’ve flashed BM3 on mine and it’s around 400hp, maybe a bit more. Plenty enough for the chassis!

    Great tips for setting up an M2. Thanks! I just got my production number for a September build. I chose Black Sapphire Metallic so the weird black grill would blend better with the rest of the car. I find that the brighter the color, the worse the front end looks. (Maybe I could get used to it, but I doubt it.) BTW, I would never add the carbon fiber bits you like. Way too gaudy. Stealth, rather than cop magnet, is the way to go. All subjective, so enjoy your badass car.

It will still show the speeed limit signs, but you cant adjust active driving assistant pro to need speed using just 'set' then and it wont warn your when you go over limit.

    I traded in a 2019 m240i for a 2024 M2. The M2 is much harder edged, higher performance, louder, and more thrilling to drive, but the wheel hop when I want to have a bit of fun spinning the tires is horrendous. I'm honestly surprised that BMW engineers haven't figured out how to get rid of it. I plan to trade it in because it's no fun listening to and feeling a car destroy itself when I try to have some proper juvenile fun with it. BMW needs to figure out how to build a rear suspension on these cars so we can smoke the tires without the dreaded wheel hop.

    From a fellow G87 owner not sure what planet you can say performance parts on this car are classy. Spoiler is OTT, only part that enhances car is the inlet ducts, rest is tacky. I myself put full M performance parts on my G42 and that did enhance that car, but M2 only thing it needs is subtle rear spoiler and maybe ducts. Wheels are ok but not that much difference getting them in black to your original wheels. Less is more

    Correction, you don't need to get the M race pack for the carbon roof and interior, that is incorrect. The carbon roof and interior trim can both be specced individually without a pack, I've just done it for a new 2025 LCI model. The carbon roof is a £2.5k option and the interior trim is around £995 ish I think. The carbon bucket seats can also be chosen without a package.
    Instantly subscribed though when you dropped the "Halfords car" jab 😂 that's been my go-to insult for bad cars for years, always thought it was just me but there ya go. I'm up to the part where the accessories have been put on, and it does look stunning. I've ordered mine in Grigio Telesto knowing there'll be hardly any in existence, barely anyone is going to spend 3k for grey paint so I like knowing there'll be barely any out there, I'm tempted to get some of the carbon parts but I want to avoid going too far with it.

    Love your channel and efforts you always put forth. That out of the way, I owned a E30 M3 and i do understand that BMW said the car was influenced by the E30 M3, not you saying it. I am not one of those who bows down to the E30 M3 and I had one from nearly new for 5 years. I have a G80 CS and like you also a Porsche RS car but the Spyder. The M2 looks weird to me, like the lid of a hat or something. I like the rear wing which I know they were going E36 LW but the side pieces looks IMO awful, stuck on etc etc. We all know BMW wheels are a PITA to clean, just coat them and change pads. Ultimately, if you like who cares what we think anyway! Enjoy.

    M2 is the only car in 2024 with early 2000's styling done in a good way.

    Well I'm waiting for mine to get here i ordered the 2025 and have been waiting over two months for it, but I tell you I really wish they made fog lights for them as two lights alone doesn't complete the car, I still love it tho and mine will come with a couple more hp and more torque. But uh yea that's my beef with them they need fog lights.

    Man, Id prefer the M3 T over this. That's just me. After the long wait for there being an M3 in that form factor.. Especially since we don't get it in the US.
    But the mods look fantastic

    I've owned mine for 14k km for now. Similar spec but Brooklyn gray and with the standard brakes. Totally standard, no mods. What I can say for sure is that you can feel the weight of the car only while braking. I can feel the brakes struggling in almost any situation (except of course during slow city driving). All four wheels are full of powder all the time and the brakes started squeaking already. In my country, the full set of front brakes only (discs, pads and sensors) together with manpower are around 1.6k EUR at the dealer so replacing them every 30k km makes this car cost a lot to own and maintain. It should be the entry-level M car but it's actually not. I've owned the the F87 M2C as well and I must say that it's a much better choice than the G87. Lighter thus no brake fatigue even after 60k km (standard brakes as well), more fuel efficient, more spacious and more analogue I must say. The sound of the engine and the DCT are much better the the G87. In my opinion, a lower mileage F87 (around 20-30k km) is a better choice than a new G87, and in Europe the price of these two cars is the same.

      I haven’t found it that bad on breaking, but yes the dust is crazy! I didn’t get anywhere near the fuel economy this is giving in the F87, I’m almost at 40mpg on long journeys now.
      Do you not find the whole package way more mature than the F series? Particularly the practicality and tech? Personally, living with it is night and day for us as a family.

    • @andreibulichi91
      @andreibulichi91 4 місяці тому

      I believe this dust is so obvious due to the color of the rims but anyway, the brakes will most likely be the first thing that will require more attention. Regarding the fuel economy, my car is constantly at an average of 11.5 l/100km (around 20 mpg) as per the BMW app, and on the highway I barely manage around 10 l/100km driving legally. I have the automatic transmission as well.
      As for the whole package, it's definitely more modern and high-tech, and the design is not ugly at all, like everyone is saying. I'm pretty sure it will age well, as it's a futuristic design anyway. It fits correctly in the current era of new cars (heavy, safe and geeky). The car key in the Apple wallet is the best thing ever.
      It's my only car and I'm using it as a daily driver, with the baby basket behind the front passenger (not using the baby seat yet) which equates to even more occupied backspace and we still have space in the back for my wife. Of course, a normal 4-door will be much better for a family but this car works totally fine if you are willing to put a bit of effort in using the back seat. I must say that I'm impressed by the cargo space. We have room for absolutely everything that is needed for a family of three. Again, it's not good if you want to relocate your kitchen but as a daily family car works pretty well. But you have to admit that the F series was a bit more roomier, especially with the headroom for the back seats.

      I'm in the US and have an M3 comp xdrive in brooklyn gray. I went with the extended maintenance plan for 7yr 125k miles for $5k. Includes brake pads every 15k and rotors every 30k. All fluid changes and spark plug changes. Oil changes are only every 10k so ill have to pay for an oil change at the 1st 5k and 10k after that. I prefer oil changes every 5k. Lower yr and mileage plans are available for less money. I believe you can still purchase a plan before the factory maintenance plan expires. The brake dust is horrible and I have had some brake squeal as well.

    • @andreibulichi91
      @andreibulichi91 3 місяці тому

      Unfortunately this is not available in Romania for now. You can buy a service package and I believe the limit is around 80k km but you receive only the oil, filters, inspections etc. so nothing special and in my opinion doesn't worth spending the money because anyway, the S58 requires servicing every 10k km let's say but as per BMW factory plan, you should do it every 30k km and, this is what they offer. So you can do something like 3 oil changes...And other consumables are not offered (brake pads, discs, other fluids etc.). I'm waiting dor the LCI new wheels (the normal alloy color ones). I believe these should sort out the powder issues. May I ask if you know how much will be a set of front brakes at the dealer (discs, pads and sensors).

    • @Wescoast650
      @Wescoast650 3 місяці тому

      @andreibulichi91 Wow that's crazy they don't offer the same plans everywhere. I was told full brake job at the dealer is $3.5k US. So the service plan was an easy decision for me. I hear there are other pads that you can get that reduce the brake dust quite a bit.

    Hi Raz. I really enjoyed the video. I kept thinking, “doesn’t that look great”, “it’s low, wide, with flared wheel arches”, “it looks the part without being in your face”
    Then you attached all the carbon to it.
    I nearly bought a used G87 that came with a stack of carbon and a manual box, then nearly bought another that came with the M performance titanium exhaust. But it was cheaper to buy a brand new car
    The finished look on your car looks great, but I’m curious to know if the carbon replaces existing parts, or is the carbon simply added to the existing car with nothing removed
    …oh! And price, that would be good to know. Please 🙏

  • @iananderson5357
    @iananderson5357 4 місяці тому

    It also needs lowering and either spacers or a better fitment to properly fill out the arches.

    I was also one who had concerns about the weight and the car in general, compared to the last gen. I just went to an M track event last weekend (in the US) and drove the M2 on their autocross set up. I am a believer now, can’t feel the weight figure, surprisingly nimble.
    @rbr do you think a rear facing child seat would work? I love that you did a family car perspective in this video, I have a 3 month old.
