The run cam is awesome, and I would highly recommend it. They have two versions, one that is 1080p, and one with 4K. Honestly, I think 4K is a waste of memory, and takes too long to process, so I saved a few bucks and went with the 1080p version. Hi, I'm new to your channel and to rcplane....can you explain what normal mode, crow, and cramber are? Just a little more explanation as what it does and how it can help a newbie like me lol
Normal model, is everything working as it would normally, camber is when both ailerons and flaps drop a hair together to give the wing slightly more lift, and crow is when the ailerons both raise together and the flaps drop down turning the wing into a brake. Welcome to the channel. Check the following video where I fly the plane for more information.
I only have a 6 channel RX for this set up, so it should not be a problem. The programming might be slightly different but it should work fine. Let me know how it works out. Cheers.
@@RCPlaneAddict thanks for replying. Got my szd just waiting til friday to get my transmitter and reciever. I'm a newbie to planes. I can fly my carbon cub s2 with no assists , so do you think I'll be able to fly the glider ?
The glider is really easy to fly, without assist, and is really relaxing. A few things to to note, it will want to climb right away with throttle, to try not to correct with trim, but add some mix to the elevator. Also, it will drop a wing if it is into a turn without enough speed, and lastly, slowing the thing down take full flaps or a good head wind. Other than that, nothing else to say but grab a chair and enjoy nice long flights. Cheers
@@RCPlaneAddict thank you my friend. It has made me feel a little more less nervous. My friend will buddy box my first few flights until I'm totally confident. I'm going to make sticks a little less sensitive around middle using expo as I have a tendency to over steer it. ( hope that makes sense) . Well keep them vids coming alot will benefit from them. Have a great festive period. And I'll let you know how my maiden goes. 👍
I fly mine with a little 1300 battery, and it really floats nice. I can get almost an hour pretty easily if I only use the motor to climb.I use an AR630 and a gyro really extends my flight time. I'll give the full house a shot.
@@RCPlaneAddict I did it all, piece of cake. I imagine the full full house is when the aileron and flap act together as one big aileron? I've set up crow before. I did it on my TopRC Swift and it made a huge difference. I never really needed it on the SZD because full flaps would slow it all the way. But its nice to have all the tools available.
Just beautiful, nice setup and flight, keep pushing the envelope.
Thanks brother. Cheers
Thank you. I literally just asked about this on the rcgroups arrows szd54 thread
Not a problem. Cheers
Can you give a link to the run-cam. Would you recommend it?

@@RCPlaneAddict thank you for the response RC Plane Addict
Can the full house set up on the szd 54 work with a spectrum dx6

Sounds good. I always add expo too, and for this plane it is 30%. Good luck!

Go for it and let me know if you see any difference. I don’t fly mine with a gyro, so this set up makes a huge difference.

You said it. Cheers
What receiver are you using?
In this one I’m using the Spektrum 620, 6 channel sport receiver.
