Arrows Hobby, after the success of trainers, warbirds, and jets, now brings you gliders. This first glider, the 2000mm SZD-54, has been thoroughly tested, and has been brought to you in it's best form.
To achieve the best dihedral, the SZD-54 was designed with a specialized two-piece CNC threaded metal spar joiner- allowing the aircraft to maintain its wing geometry during demanding flight routines. Additionally, the pre-embedded carbon fiber spars in the fuselage and main wings ensure overall rigidity in high-G maneuvers.
A high-quality 30A ESC paired with a 3136-KV1000 motor provides ample power with a 3S pack (1300mAh-2200mAh) to perform most aerobatic maneuvers. Positive and negative loops, stall turns, point rolls, and inverted flight can be easily and excellently performed.
The wing and horizontal stabilizers are designed with a snap-fit structure, which can be installed by pressing and detached by pulling. No screws or glue necessary! This superb design makes transportation and storage easy. With the majority of the aircraft pre-assembled and no need for screws or glue, this aircraft can be built in as little as 3 minutes!

Beautiful presentation of the Arrows glider. 2000mm is a sweet spot. Stiff wings and good overall flight characteristics. Decent glider aerobatics and I'm sure it could glide for significant amounts of time doing some thermal chasing. Excellent!

Sweet glider, like the spar
Great video, showing a few runway passes. Unlike many RC plane youtube videos where the plane is a few pixels indistinct from the backgound sky. Nicely done A++
I started with this type glider, I have had it up in the air over an hour. This looks so much nicer than what I had back in the day. It was like cat fishing set you out a lawn chair take it easy and fly😁😁👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸

Nice looking glider. Reminds me of my high quality Multiplex Heron. Too bad mine has been sitting in the garage for weeks. Today I had the ladder fully extended and sitting on the 4wheeler to reach the gutters. Soon enough soon enough.

Gliders are sweet. I like the aileron rod support. It's a weak point on my ASW17 as well as the clips that hold the wings

what was the ready to fly weight , will get one and see how well it thermals out here in Cali when it is in stock , would be trick to see a scale steme-S10 with retracts , 3.5,m or duo discus 3.5m with up and go redactable motor
Love your videos, thanks so much! Question: did you actually try out the telemetry? I got the same AR620 receiver for this plane and have a Spektrum DX8 transmitter and using Spektrum SMART battery, but cannot get the Telemetry to work. Horizon Hobby said I need a SMART ESC--would appreciate your advice.

What more could you ask for in a glider? This will be my third Arrows purchase. Based on my other two Arrows models I know this one won’t disappoint.

This my first glider and I wonder about trimming the elevator with no throttle.
Can flaps mechanically cycle both ways? I’m interested in going full house sailplane and separating each servo and 8 channel receiver. Mechanically possible for flaps to move with aileron, or can flaps only move downwards?

I found the wing spars would not go into the wings far enough. I tried forcing the threaded end into the wings but still not far enough and even if I got them all the way in would be really hard to pull out wings. I do not want to cut into the wing nor do I have the tools to cut those metal spars

**Question** Can you use 4S battery on this bird? The 30Amp ESC will handle 4S, can the motor handle it? Please anybody advise!!!!!

If you fly without wheels takeoff, fly by hand, how much throttle do you run, 100 percent or what percent
A touch and go prop strike is almost guaranteed with a glider unless you succeed with the bounce a go! Looks like you experienced both! 👍
I fly on a grass field so hopefully the prop will not be damaged
@@thomasallan8113 S'all good on grass or pavement as long as you aren't trying to gun it after you touch down. Touch down throttle off and there is no problem.

Comparison to the Evolution?
I'm in the market and was ready to pull the trigger on a conscendo evo (ce). What I don't like about the ce is no flaps and too cramped inside from what I read. I'm still using 72mhz equipment. So the Arrow looks to be better for me if they ever get them in stock.
