That one's definitely one of my favorite boss battles in the game, not only does it give Tanimura's skills a chance to shine, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing.
Every time I look at this particular scene, I think back to the Two Best Friends Playthrough of this game where Matt continuously brings up the movie Face-Off. This is ironic since Tanimura had to change his face for the remaster. It was foreshadowing for what was to come in the re-release.
This fight is really reminds me of metal gear solid hand combats because of this cqc like style and even music is similar to mgs ost. Or is it just me?
@@LThanhHao232 Well, kicking in the air, it should be possible for a circus performer. But doing so in a fight, or using a backflip somersault, heck, that's just physically not possible.
I must have had over 5000 street fights by now and throughout the years my style evolved towards Akiyama-esque moves. I’m literally backflip upkicking niggas and keeping them in the air by rapidly dishing out alternate blows to their balls and faces
If you want to try it out yourself, Pla red dead redemption 2. You can dead eye and shoot the shit out of their hands. Whether it's a rifle, Shotgun or revolver, he'll drop it as long as you shoot his wrist.
I can't decide if the move where you sit on their face to break their neck is painful or just humiliating. Also I know this is a weird thing to point out, but didn't old Tani have a mole on his neck in the exact same spot as new Tani? Did they just reuse his skin mesh...?
It's the old model modified to make it less-Hiroki Narimiya like (the hairstyle from the old model was literally the hairstyle Hiroki Narimiya is well-known to have, so of course that had to go too)
@@gaminggoddess85 The only thing that changed were the eyes and face shape. Probably they stretched out the nose a little. Then they reuse Old Tanimura's model with someone's beard in the game and possibly one of the thugs or inverted Nishitani's hair.
Tanimura, I believe Tani with his techniques would Destroy Kuroiwa, especially he's a beast too, Especially when he Can Destroy almost Every SWAT Team By Himself and Destroy Half of the Ueno Seiwa's clan alone
@@Nazunadesune well, in Judgement, characters strength scale are weaker than yakuza's. And wiped out the entire SWAT team alone my himself is quite a very impressive feat here, so. Tanimura has more chance here.

Cool boss but the scene before it is such BS. A whole army of cops shows up to arrest the guy, he says "You can't shoot me" and the cops are like "Understandable sir, have a nice day". I don't know much about Japanese law but I find it hard to believe cops can't arrest someone unless they go along willingly.
Anyone can explain why Shangrila in Y4R looks like it's still operational? I can see the lights are still on outside and inside, the chimney is steaming, etc.
It's less the game company and more the social stigma behind even the allegation of it. The guy was cleared of drug use, but just by bringing it up he wasn't going to get any work again anywhere.

And unlike the situation with Judgment (with Pierre Taki being caught in a scandal shortly after public release), there was a 4 year long gap between PLVSAA's Japanese release and Narimiya's retirement due to a drug scandal.
Tanimura is so pure, he uses his gun for taunting instead of killing.
Hey, at least he used the gun to actually shoot someone, not a tool for a long monologue.
