I feel both Opening songs fit Yakuza 0 to a T. Bubble, while an amazing song, never truly fits with the plot of Yakuza or the tone, however it perfectly fits the setting of the 80s as a nonstop party. The English intro on the other hand is to me a lot more emotional and thoughtful. It doesn't fit the setting at all, but it brings you exactly what the plot will give you, moments of pure power, pulling yourself up, but also moments of calm quiet reflection and sadness
@@youtubewanderer3347 I think a big part of why I like the western OP is that it hits the drama riffs at exactly the right points in the montage. The Ace Combat games (and spiritual successor Project Wingman) have similar care in their music, making sure they line up the beats just right to compliment what is going on, which takes the song to the next level. I honestly can't bring myself to skip the western OP because... it nails it. You get these crescendos when there's something dramatic and emotional going on, and it just hits different.
I understand what you feel but if you want to know why Baka Mitai is mote popular, its because its a "funi meymey" to put in a random/fake face edit app thing. So its not popular because its better than Bubble (honestly all Ryu ga Gotoku songs rock). it's the original opening song which was removed on US release. google yakuza 0 japanese opening. steam version has mod to restore the original opening for all yakuza games.
This is way better then the western intro which is more "American" with the electric Guitar, this sounds way more in line with the craziness of the bubble era, hence the name of the song. I recommend modding this into the PC version.

I see this as the worst Yakuza 0 ost. Lemme explain, for me a yakuza ost becomes better the more memories i can associate with it. after hearing all OSTs i can establish a picture of what most Yakuza 0 ost's sound like. I only heard this in complete OST lists and here now but this just doesnt fit yakuza 0 as opening ost or general ost.

Mad they removed this song and replaced it with a very generic theme for the English release.
Being set in the Japanese bubble this song was the most perfect fit.
I feel both Opening songs fit Yakuza 0 to a T. Bubble, while an amazing song, never truly fits with the plot of Yakuza or the tone, however it perfectly fits the setting of the 80s as a nonstop party.
The English intro on the other hand is to me a lot more emotional and thoughtful. It doesn't fit the setting at all, but it brings you exactly what the plot will give you, moments of pure power, pulling yourself up, but also moments of calm quiet reflection and sadness

@@youtubewanderer3347 I think a big part of why I like the western OP is that it hits the drama riffs at exactly the right points in the montage. The Ace Combat games (and spiritual successor Project Wingman) have similar care in their music, making sure they line up the beats just right to compliment what is going on, which takes the song to the next level. I honestly can't bring myself to skip the western OP because... it nails it. You get these crescendos when there's something dramatic and emotional going on, and it just hits different.
Is there even a name for the English opening? I've always just called it "blood & bills" because, c'mon, you know.

it's the original opening song which was removed on US release. google yakuza 0 japanese opening. steam version has mod to restore the original opening for all yakuza games.

This is way better then the western intro which is more "American" with the electric Guitar, this sounds way more in line with the craziness of the bubble era, hence the name of the song. I recommend modding this into the PC version.

I see this as the worst Yakuza 0 ost. Lemme explain, for me a yakuza ost becomes better the more memories i can associate with it. after hearing all OSTs i can establish a picture of what most Yakuza 0 ost's sound like. I only heard this in complete OST lists and here now but this just doesnt fit yakuza 0 as opening ost or general ost.
