Ah, the Ford model T. The car that Henry got right. The car that could withstand any harsh environment. The car could go across rivers, steep hills and could still drive. Thanks to it’s durability and density. You sir, have picked a really great car. 1 out of 15,000,000. You take good care of her.

Man i love how you can put together a story of the car just by the stuff you found inside... 1926 first owners possibly a family with kids that was when the invitation was left behind. Then ~1960 some hippie owned it and forgot his sunglasses in it and possibly later one somebody owned it that was facinated in old stiff and forgot the antique looking lightbulb inside. Now you got it... you should keep the stuff, it belongs to the story of the car.

I can't get over how the doors shut so well for a machine that's nearly 100 years old, and left neglected for a 3rd of that. Old Henry knew a thing or two about his creations fer sure....

Henry Ford may have been an innovator but wonderful he wasn't; by many accounts he was simply not a nice person. Egocentric, anti-Semitic, nasty to his son and any that dared compete against him and would have bankrupted his own company making model T's forever if he had his own way.

Where my dad grew up in the 30's an older man drove a T. When my dad got home from the navy the older man was driving a new T, which was a mystery to everyone, a new T in the late 40's ? When the older man died they found another new T in his barn in crates, never assembled. The family donated it to the Smithsonian, which I thought was great.
