I don't have my blue wire connected at all and it's still giving me the amp overload message. I suspect this message is some kind of general wiring error and not an actual overload of the internal amp. Kinda like when a program in windows pops up "program exe stopped working" and there's no info beyond that.
@@gilbertgarcia4303 I eventually found the reason. Turns out I was connecting my regular speakers to the RCA connectors which are meant to run through an amp. The manual was printed in such a way that the relevant info was on the rear side of all the diagrams page. I have a feeling the original manual was roadmap style and meant to be folded but then was revised to be book style. Once I fixed my wiring, everything worked fine and the error has not returned. Far as the parking break stuff goes, I didn't want to mess with any of my brake system out of caution of not wanting to mess up the thing I may need in an emergency. Connecting the wire to ground will register as "parked". I have this connected to a toggle on my dash so it isn't bypassed, just adapted. Same goes for the mute. Both can be run to a switch that grounds to the radio's metal chassis. Wiring the camera to be powered by the tail markers instead of reverse let's the driver monitor any load being carried. If I'm carrying a lawn mower in my Sedan, my bumper mounted camera supplements my otherwise blocked rear view. Wiring to the markers gives me peace of mind that I can be seen anytime my camera is powered and won't be powered if my car is off. I know I unloaded some mind-barf, but I feel like the safety options have room to improve and I did what I could to improve them.
@@rustyshackleford5166 on my speakers I still don’t have them connected and no rcas connected and still comes up. Whenever I hooked up the power and ground just to the harness it’ll still come up with nothing else connected to it. Sometimes I turn it off and on and it’ll work for 30 min max then the message comes up.
@@gilbertgarcia4303 Sounds like something is overheating then. If you have room in the radio bay and a few spare bucks for a PC fan, I'd say wire up a fan to help cool the radio. I didn't use a harness for my radio since it was hard to find. I used the service manual and a test lamp, wire stripping tool and some barrel plugs from a hobby shop to mate all the endings. I'd say double checking with your service manual to be sure the wiring harness isn't the issue. (Should be available online in PDF form)
Have you ever tried the trick where u hold the left bottom corner for 10 secs and then bottom right for 10aeconds? They say it works and no need for wiring changes
