I'm a new subscriber to your site. I am impressed with your honesty and your patience...It's good to find a person who is confident in his self and his desires...
Thank you for your video. PT-17 is a beautiful thing. Hope to see the follow up vids. I'm building a 1/5 scale right now myself it will have a FG-60R3 Saito engine. ❤❤❤
I've loved the stearman since I was a kid. I got one decades ago that was damaged (much smaller, 65" wing) and I've never gotten it rebuilt. I don't have a place to fly at the moment. Perhaps I'll have to get it out of storage and make it my winter project. Even if I don't find a field and fly her, I'd love to have it hanging from the ceiling in my office!
Hey Rodney. Just found your channel. It's Kevin B from NY. Haven't seen you since Chenango Br. show yrs. ago. Glad to see your doing well. Keep up the good work.
@dash5n Hey Kevin hope all is well We're doing well here in NC. We certainly miss all our flying buddies up north. Maybe we'll bump into each other at an event somewhere best wishes to you.
Very nice build from a new subscriber! My last build was a BUSA 1/3 fly baby biplane. Have a ziroli stearman i wanna build. This may be what gets me going. Looking forward to the complete build. Just seen your a fellow tarheel. I live between hickory and boone!
Dad went to school and got his aeronautical engineering degree. His explanation, that two degrees of positive incidence cause the bottom wing to stall first. Thus creates a softer, more positive stall as the top wing keeps flying longer.
I am also watching an Australian chap who is building a full-size replica of a Sopwith Camel. I’ll run that story of the 2 deg of lower plane incidence by him.
On the landing gear, is the scissors supposed to face forward like that or face rear? Just curious. I like building kits too. You have a nice project there. Lots of luck with it
Great vid mate ,i like the way you just went for the 1 aileron will be watching for more thanks thanks, Nat from Ireland 👍🤙🤙

What I see is a grand looking frame for a fine plane when you're done.😁.... Love to hang it on MY Hanger wall.
Awesome to see you working in that plane again
Great build!! Not an easy kit to build.

@jamesberwick2210 yes and the video I watched said that when the bottom wing stalls you can feel it through the control stick
With both wings at zero, probably a handful in a stall.

@@kennethroe5376 it faces forward
Nice work, one note: never, ever drink anything on camera while recording.
