- I managed to isolate Freddie's voice from the rest of his the music on my recent trip to the studio's in Montreux. Freddie's last vocal performance recorded. Beautiful I think is the word, the video is not about my skills as a mixer because I have none but is about Freddie's wonderful performance, enjoy.
Right until the end his voice was powerful and perfect. 😢 Oh Freddie, you Were so brave and strong 💔
So his last word for this world was "love"... I am sure he is and he wiil be singing and composing for ever, and I will meet him some day...
his last recorded word was love yes that sums up freddie he was all about love!!!
Imagine how may songs has he written in paradise ☺️
I don’t know how Brian managed to sing those last lines without breaking down.
They all did an amazing job.

I can only imagine how incredibly heartbreaking and difficult it must have been, for Brian to sing those last verses, knowing that Freddie should have been doing them.

He actually sang them before Freddie died, or so i have heard
It was probably really hard for him... also why does Brian always wear clogs
@Bill Blackman Freddie lived for a few more months after recording Mother Love, so it's possible that Brian recorded it when Freddie was still alive.

The thought that always sticks with me every time I listen to this song Is when you hear Brian's voice and realise that Freddie was just too sick to record the rest of the song. It's both haunting, heart-wrenching and breathtakingly beautiful.
Brian recorded the last verse 4 years after Freddie died. I don't know about anyone else but I hear Brian's tears as he finishes the song

Hearing just the voice of a man with such power to his voice despite him in so much pain feels.... inspiring. Saddening, sure, but even though he was in so much pain he still sang music with effort and energy. It's so sad we do not have Freddie here today, and he will never be forgotten. We love you, Freddie... rest in peace.

I visited the studio in Montreux a few weeks ago and it was really very emotional to be there, just knowing that Freddie and Queen created so many masterpieces of songs there, he was the best live singer/entertainer ever, and he was so lucky to have these great, humble musician's near him.
Missing this magnificent voice and beautiful human being that was Freddie Mercury.

Mother love ends with the beginning of Freddies first song ever recorded Going back (by the name Larry Lurex)... If you listen Freddies voice is almost the same in both songs .. The end meets the beginning and the circle is complete. 😢💔

It's amazing how much power was still in Freddie's voice even though he didn't have long left. Freddie recorded his vocals 13th-16th May 1991 during the Innuendo sessions. He did 3 takes of each line and when it got to the final verse he told Brian he wasn't up to it and would come back and do it which he didn't.

you can truly see how weak and determined freddie was back then, although there is a lot of hall that helps him, he still managed to sound loud and strong
Brian didn't think Freddie was up to singing The Show Must Go On so he propped himself up on the mixing desk, downed a bottle of Vodka and did it in one take

What are you using to do this and how are you able to turn down each instrument? Are you able to do this with any song or do you need the original stem files with all tracks on to do this?

0:58 that note you hear under his voice is kinda unsettling. It also sounds like there's an awful lot of leak of the tracks into the vocals here and there.
I that you are right on that 0:58, it's just a fraction of the music coming through, I don't think it's unsettling just astounding how much power he his considering he was very ill at this point but I get what you are saying.
@@The1queencollector It's just how the note you hear distorts almost. It doesn't sound like that in the stand alone multi, just what you hear leaking in the vocals. It's strange.
@@The1queencollector I also wanted to ask if you knew of any Queen Multis? I'm really interested in them and love hearing raw components in songs that I like. I did have the BO-RAP multi.
@@therestorationofdrwho1865 things like that I just look up on UA-cam, usually if you just want vocal I look under Accapella as there are a fair amount.
@@The1queencollector Particiularly this song in its rare case, videos like these exist due to there being the availability of the multi at the studio, but I'm confused as to why there isn't a flac multi of this song released.

Why do you keep putting back in the music? I want listen with silent background to Freddie and Brian.
I put the music back in to fill in the blank void between versus. This exercise was to listen to Freddie's vocal, if I had the time you could isolate the guitars and drums ect but I had a load of people wanting a go on the mixing desk. If you can, go visit the studios and experience it for yourself.

This video just doesn't work for me. I have tried to play it on two different phone's.
Thats a shame, I have had issues like that on other peoples videos, have you tried "Made in Heaven", it is strange no one else has mentioned any issues, maybe try again later.

I personally would have kept the guitar riff in along with the vocal that's just me
I could of done that but that would have been another video and I only had limited time there, on this occasion I just wanted pure vocal, if I ever go again I could do that video.
Would be great listening this song without the echo effect on Freddie's voice...
To be honest you are lucky to be able to hear this at all, it's the studio recording and stripped down to as bare bones as I could get, having the echo is a very small price to pay.
