Well the next Gen Toyota Corolla will be using Chinese made batteries for their PHEVs. Mind you, TOYOTA. I guess that's the ultimate stamp of approval of Chinese quality.
That was always the plan. That’s why they invested so heavily in dominating the EV market. Their strategy allows them to reclaim their auto market from foreign brands, establish themselves as a global exporter, and become a major player in the car industry-all in one go. You can hate but can't deny that it's a genius move.
China is the biggest car market in the world. And more than 50% of new car sales in China this 2024 are EVs. This is why Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi are merging: trying to regain their lost market.
The automobile industry of the US, EU, and Japan will continue to suffer due to less choice, less affordability, less employment, less efficiency, less productivity, less cleanliness, and less competitiveness for export markets. In America, brand new cars will become less and less attainable for most people, just like homeownership and a university-level education.
The folks buying those EVs are not doing it because they want to save the planet they are just better cars. However local pollution is bad in some places and switching to EVs will help that.
@ Humans believe we cause everything and can fix it. The Earth will put us in our place with one burp from a volcano just to show it can undo all our efforts in a matter or hours.
Most of the polution comes from Factory's!All the money the CCP invested in the EV industry will be missed in other places! So much invested and now most BEV company's in China are going bankrupt and the ones that don't get bankrupt cant make as much money as the hoped because of tariffs in Europe and the US!
And they have the High Current Lines DC & AC so Fast Charging isn’t an issue for China along Super Electric Infrastructure. In the West they’re still discussing, what happened to Build back Better?
Appears in 2024, sales of Bev is 20% global share. It appears in the SPHERE OF INFLUENCE rivalry, the battle is interesting. This will create very different trades now. 😂❤
china already captured 95% of consumer drones, and 80 percents of military drones. i dont wanna say about consumer electronic, it is even more depressing for western countries and japan. in any circumstances, EV car overrated, i will still buy petrol car, cheap maintenance.
Do countries have the capacity to " recharge " and what's the status of recharging stations as compared to this EV growth globally ? And how long will it take to get charging to capacity as it appears to be the only edge ICE has at present
China has installed huge numbers of public fast charging stations, so Chinese drivers can charge cheaply and conveniently at most destinations. Fast charging to 80% is now less than an hour, and China is working on even faster tech.
Chinese "PHEV" have minimum 50 kms electric range, and the typical Chinese car covers < 40 km daily. Typical BYD Dual Mode cars have >100 km electric range on battery. Chinese "hybrids" are more "Extended Range EVs".
How can other countries catch up in the EV race when they can’t decide whether to be in the race or not or which direction to be running in.
Hybrid, ice or fully electric? Still not sure, we’ll see 😂

It won't work, and it will cost them way to much money! It's extremely wastefull!

Saving planet is the nice byproduct.

Saving the planet with BEVs?What a joke!
BEE-YOOO-TEA-FUL. 😀👍👍

I like to buy a low cost Chinese car in canada. Trudeau will not let me have one 100 % tariff. 😢 . Bring on the air taxi.
Quite amazing.
The biggest buyer of Chinese EV's are the Chinese government subsidies and the new fields the cars will sit in.
Dump's solution is drill baby drill, and tariffs.
Nobody has to catch up,BEVs aren't that imported!
Great
They are super smart 🧠 they are the world industry
I like BYD EV

Thanks Elon!
Listening to this guy talk is like hearing from a machine telling you that you're obsolete.
.
Red China, EU decision on BeV is due to access to resources. Don't expect other MAJOR STATES will do the same.
😂❤
Norway and Sweden are over 80% BEVs, though.

Commies will fall hard
If everyone is jumping off bridges, we’re all suppose to also?
Using EVs is not like jumping off bridges Einstein
Funny, headline is "EVs", post is "EVs and hybrids" 🤔
