We had our wedding at Gibson's in Rosemont. Everyone had a great time and the food was so amazing! We such a great time. And wow the deserts are also delicious!
Used to be a loyal Morton's customer when it came to steaks. First tried Gibson's five years ago. Been a fan ever since. Gibson's also has one of the BEST crab cakes I've ever had.

Gibsons at the airport was spectacular. Gibsons downtown was a disaster. I ordered a Porterhouse very rare and it was well done. Complained to the waitress and she took the dish away immediately, apologizing and bringing another one that she "snatched from a customer who ordered the same". Which was also well done. Called the waitress, showed her the meat and said that I am done, not interested in a third round. Manager came around, apologized and didn't charge me for anything. Still, I had expected a great steak and what I got was a disaster, a violation of the meat. Sad. All well documented on camera, so this is for real, not badmouthing.

You're so right on about the majority of black folks lol. And they All had to have their steaks "well done". Then would complain after eating half. And get refund, or another free meal. That baked potato (sorry, the Chicken nugget style mix of potatoes and butter) squeezed into an empty prebaked skin could be the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. With cheese on top. Tacky is not even the right word.

I’ve been to Harry Carey’s in Chicago, doesn’t hold a candle to Gibson’s Chicago Cut. It IS the best steak I ever had.

Harrys is very solid + not as pricey. The wet aged Ribeye w/ Truffle better is 20 bucks less than Gibbys
