I took an etiquette class in college and the professor who taught it said that the essence of good mannersxwas to do the kindest thing in the kindest possible way.
Daniel Hill--That brooch looks like a can can dancer flipping her skirt and poking out her butt cheeks. There are actual names for the various positions of the can can, but you'll have to look those up for yourself.
I don't think there are many people in ordinary life with any concept of manners when it comes to conversation(s). Perhaps the obvious one is butting in on others' conversations. But how many realise that can be caused by the rudeness of the people conversing in ignoring the other person !
Love love love her. And, in an effort to not be rude, off I trot to find her book!
Sandy reminds me of my favourite teacher from high school. No one could have filled Fry's shoes in QI like she has.

She's a delight, I enjoy listening to... Hang on... Is her brooch a lady bent over and lifting her skirt?!? Bahahaha
I caught that too- how rude! LOL

Table manners, mainly to stop us from killing each other. I'd never thought of it that way.

Hope it's on Audio in her voice...
I do love Sandra Tossbag.
Coke nails originated in 17th century France! Who knew?!

The comedienne.
She is a National Treasure, damn not British.
International Treasure
Half British actually! And half Danish, of course.
@@sarahjones8396 Is it the Danish or the British part that's funniest.
@@flatmoon6359 well, as I don’t speak nor understand Danish it would have to be the British half for me!
@@flatmoon6359 Maybe, the beautiful bend of the two.
