Can't thank you enough for the youtube vids. Plenty to soak up for players at every level. Everytime I actually incorporate what you're talking about the benefits just pour out. Like reminding me to turn the guitar up all the way and use a medium pick. Turns out those .70mm Classic picks stopped all the behind the nut harmonics on my #1. Who knew?

I just came to your channel by way of Tim Pierce. I would like to thank you for reminding me of some of my old licks, and phrasing I use to use back in the 90s, before I joined the Navy. I was really deep into Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, and Larry Carlton at the time, and trying to interweave their influences into my own sound that was heavily influenced by SRV, and Page. A lot of Wes, and Django in this lesson, and it made me smile. Thank you.

This brought back memories. The last cassette I bought was Count Basie`s last recording, released around 1987 or so. All Blues. He said that at that point in his life they were all he could remember. A masterpiece. Your appreciation of this era and your generosity is an example of what is still at the heart of what it is to be American. Thank You.

Even when you're teaching stuff that I've known for years, you're approach is so informative and the concepts are so easy to digest that I still learn new things or at least a new way of thinking of things that I already knew. Guthrie seems to be the humblest of gents and his teaching style so personal and genuine that to dislike this video you must have absolutely no interest in the style of music he plays. In which case, why bother sharing an opinion at all.
