Edith- Archie what if I was to tell you that I think you're going to have the little boy you've always wanted? Archie- holy cow Edith, can't you do nothing right!?!😂😂😂🤣🤣

Mike acts like it's all Gloria's fault. Never heard of a house having 2 fridges because of a baby. My mom bottle fed twin babies, and the one fridge was enough.
They actually had THREE "Gloria is pregnant" storylines/teases during the series. It only happened once. (At least that other time, Archie was happy about it).
@@ElvishRanger93 Yes, this episode is season 1, episode 6: Gloria Has a Belly Full (where she has a miscarriage); the second time was season 6, episode 1: The Very Moving Day (where Gloria was pregnant with Joey the day her and Mike moved in next door to the old Jefferson's house); and the third time was season 7, episode 14: Gloria's False Alarm (where it turned out Gloria wasn't pregnant after all and after Mike protested to her for not doing enough to prevent pregnancies, Gloria ordered Mike get a vasectomy)
the episode “glorias shock” really shows that mike didn’t want kids bc of the responsibility and it shows in this ep for a bit also. yet he couldn’t fully admit it so he hid behind world problems. nothing wrong with not having a baby if u feel like the responsibility isnt for u but lying about it makes u childish. even irene got on mike for that and she was right mike just didn’t want the responsibility and if he truly felt that way he would’ve gotten a vasectomy long time ago
I completely agree I remember all three episodes where she miscarried in this one, the other episode where she finds out she is pregnant with Joey he wasn’t happy about it and Irene had to set him straight. The last one where she thinks she pregnant again when the move into the Jeffersons old home and she tells Mike she had enough of his excuses if he doesn’t want anymore children to do something about it and he ends up getting a vasectomy.
Mike and Gloria, but especially Mike, showed absolutely no concern or respect for Archie at times. Here they were, at this point with neither of them working, living in Archie's house, and now expecting a child. (Okay, the outcome of this one was very sad). And this was on top of their constantly insulting him for his political and religious beliefs. I would have had them facing ultimatums a long time ago.
I know the outcome was very sad and there were times Mike or Gloria didn’t show Archie any respect in his house and he supported all of them. I feel in this episode Archie was the only one who was being realistic and trying to knock some sense into the both of them.
@@sysuiu4533 Norman Lear, despite his politics, showed both sides of the coin, including liberal hypocrisy. In the end, he depicted Archie as a hero more than anything else.
How about the way that Gloria’s friend Mona looked?! Too bad that the infamous Edith Bunker cookbook said Mona gave birth to a daughter, especially since 9 times out of 10, she more than likely had a son, being as big a round as she was in the episode! Besides, I think that maybe after Edith passed away on the spin-off known as “ARCHIE BUNKER’S PLACE”, Archie possibly had a one night stand with his cook, Veronica Rooney. Then she took a job offer at the campus cafeteria at Langley College in Peekskill where she befriended Edna Garrett, Tootie Ramsey, Jo P., Natalie Green, Boots Sinclair, and Blair Warner, among others. By May 1982, Veronica Rooney takes a maternity leave, and she winds up finding herself giving birth to Archie Bunker, Jr.?! Ofcourse, she managed to get a discount at a used auto dealership with Jo’s help, which came in handy because she selected a good used 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger with Texas license plates; indicating that the pickup was obviously formerly owned by Southfork Ranch Foreman Ray Krebbs. Anyway, almost a year has passed by when Veronica shows up at the bar one day with Archie Jr in tow. So after the blood tests of the time proves that the baby’s father is Archie, he does the honorable thing by marrying Veronica Rooney who becomes the second Mrs. Archie Bunker.
