Luckily there is plenty of footage to show he was as good as any of his counterparts.

That's crazy.. here in the UK, they always have standing on the floor unless it's older bands like the Eagles whose fans are older and don't wanna stand or jump around for 2 hours haha. Any bands from the 80's onwards, or even older but heavier bands like AC/DC always have standing.

I would say that all big name music stars have floor seats in the U.S...They are very expensive..I bet for Bon Jovi the floor seats were $200 and up and next to impossible to get.
Phil is a great player. If Sambora wants to quit he can be replaced easily by Phil. Nice gig if you can get it. Don't know about the song writing partnership with Sambora and Bon Jovi but from a live standpoint Phil covers great.
doesnt have that same soul without richie there is something in richies embelishments while playing that make bonjovi sound like bonjovi...... not to mention philx's bum notes in the solo
