Phil brought a whole new energy to Bon Jovi....everybody else in the band acts like they are exhausted after 30 mins....Phil is still going strong for the whole show....running all over the place....constantly walking the stage unless he is singing backup....dude is like the energizer bunny. He definitely believes in putting on a good show. This is a guy who paid his dues and finally made the big time. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Phil X deserves it a lot. He is a very talented, humble, funny and worker guy. We can see he lives his rockstar dream and makes me feel very happy and proud of him. Replace Sambora is a mission that not anyone can do, but Phil is doing perfectly!!!
Love Phil X! He's such a rock star, he's worked his ass off and deserves his moment in the spotlight. Wembley stadium, just to stand on the same stage that Freddie Mercury did and all the other legends who graced it before had to be a huge moment for him. He's such a nice guy, and regular bro that it feels like we all made it with him, and that's rare. I still watch his old fretted Americana videos and he's still the same funny, happy, guitar flipping madman he's always been.
hate to be that person but freddie played at the old wembley stadium, this one was built on the site of that one and opened in 2007. same patch of land though i suppose lol.

Anybody who doesn't like Phil X has no soul. They guy understands perfectly his role in the band and has an amazing "Rock N' Roll" attitude. Perfect fit for any band. And he shreds in a very non-technical yet FUN way.
Never been a fan of Jon Bon Jovi's vocals, but he had Richie, who has a great voice, and now Phil who is a fantastic vocalist....This guy is the real deal...great player, great singer plus he's funny and smart....
Go Phil! I've enjoyed watching his guitar demos for years and it's so great to see him on a big stage.

What I like about this guy is he loves, I mean LOVES what he's doing. Doing it such passion and and energy. He earned that. I've seen him first Fretted Americana videos. He was mind blowing. Whenever I felt miself down and under, I just searched for one of his videos and I was OK for the day. He almost always messed up the song during testing those vintage babies but when he's on stage, he's sharp. Precise. Plays as good as he can.
Not gonna lie, Phil was born for this job

I was never really into Bon Jovi (it's good music, it's just not my thing), but Phil X has the BEST attitude all the time and it's so inspiring. Even if I didn't play guitar I'd be a huge Phil X fan.
Amazing all those years demoing Guitars for Fretted America then he gets a really big gig as Bon Jovi’s guitarist. And at this age. It’s amazing.

Never was a Bon Jovi fan by any stretch of the imagination! Phil X makes it worthy of my attention. I like this dude. He seems genuine in everything he involves his self with. Loves what he dose, loves the music, seems to love life itself! Rock On little brother! Tear it up!!! Happy New Year, and a long and prosperous life!

Phil has always been a guy you like, appreciate, respect, and admire. He is the genuine article. He has enormous talent, a no-nonsense work-ethic, and a personality only a complete asshole would not absolutely root for.
I couldn't be happier for Phil X and his (not overnight) success. Bon Jovi was lucky to grab him and I'm sure Phil feels lucky too.

I was friendly with Phil back in high school days. Back then, while friendly with all, he was somewhat soft-spoken. Not shy, just laid back and smiley. Until he got his guitar in his hands, then , LOOK OUT! The rock star instantly shone! He was already soooooo good then, and we all just knew he'd make it big. He paid his dues, and it's so great to see him where he belongs -- on world tours, playing with one of the biggest rock stars ever. And, yeah, the saying 'couldn't happen to a nicer guy' is so true with Phil. He's the real deal -- the best of guys.

Who says Richie can't be replaced?? Yeah, Phil does just fine on his own. He learned the solos that Richie always played because that is the sound the fans all wanted. With new music, he proves that he can do his own solos and he kicks ass. I'm over Richie.

Phil X is one talented cat. Don't forget he has cowritten most trax on THINFS and will likely be writing on all future albums. If he was merely a hired peon he would be asked to obey his masters and not be allowed to contribute his share of music!!! Much like what Huey Mcdonald was for damn near 23 years until they recognized his loyalty by including him in the HOF lineup! That is the integrity of Jon Bon Jovi! An unselfish and great leader!!!

also,phil had to work to survive.while ritchie was almost fully retired phil kept on.

Consider this; Phil X has had a harder go of it. It's given him broader experiences, he struggled and took opportunities when they presented themselves (including the little UA-cam video) he has played - and played well - on a wider body of work and in multiple genres. Watch the movie 'Hired Gun' (yes, there's a movie) and see who he's worked with, written with, played with and produced. So why did he join Bon Jovi? Because the band is an institution that afforded him the biggest exposure he's ever been offered. As a musician, only the foolish would walk away from something that rare. Sambora had a hand in building that, but you cannot say it was due to him. Tell me it wouldn't have happened if the band had someone else playing guitar? So then, what's the difference? Ask yourself where is Sambora now, without Bon Jovi? You can say he's done, resting on pillows of gold. I don't buy that because I've seen him try a solo career. Richie Sambora is a helluva guitarist and artist, of that there is no doubt. If he had traveled the same road as Phil X, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Great guy. Comes across as a fun and energetic guy but has also worked very hard and is incredibly knowledgeable. I hesitate to use the word ‘talented’ as it implies that he hasn’t worked for his immense skill. Not a huge Bon Jovi fan but it’s great to see such a deserving guy have this success.
