He's great! But his books can be a bit abrupt and hard to follow through for new readers. 'Midnight's children' and 'The Enchantress of Florence' are great. Maybe after one has read five to six books,he can read Rushdie's.
Since you have already read a book by each of these authors,I'd suggest looking out for new authors to explore more writing styles. I have been reading dystopian of late and would highly recommend '1984' by George Orwell and 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. My most favourite author is Oscar Wilde. I am in love with his works. Absolutely in love. It's not even possible to be in love with someone without meeting them but 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' was a riveting piece of work. It took me a bit to read. It's for someone who is in love with the language. But I'd recommend a 100%. 'Kane and Abel' was fun to read. Much like an iconic olden day Hindi opera. 'Midnight Children' is quite lengthy and I am currently reading 'The Enchantress of Florence' so I am probably biased.

Can we read salman Rushdie as our first novel
He's great! But his books can be a bit abrupt and hard to follow through for new readers. 'Midnight's children' and 'The Enchantress of Florence' are great. Maybe after one has read five to six books,he can read Rushdie's.
@@anubhutijain5487 so where should i begin with . I have read 1 books of murakami and 2 books of khaled hosseini . on my second on with murakami ..
@@anubhutijain5487 thank you so much i will get back when i have read these books
