Nobody's Fault But Mine" is a traditional song first recorded by gospel blues artist Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. The song is originally a solo performance with Johnson singing and playing slide guitar. It tells of a spiritual struggle, with reading the Bible as the path to salvation, or, rather, the failure to read it leading to damnation. This Version by Nina Simone is from the 1969 album Nina Simone and Piano.
This retreat is done with respect to the original by RocknRolla Soundsystem

I heard this song at a party nearly 9 years ago, and I haver never ever grew tired of this piece of art! Such a banger, very very well mixed 🙏🏻
This is the only other version other than Blind Willie Johnson's that I have heard. I was blown away - Nina Simone is just an unbelievable voice that talks to my soul... And anyone who has not heard Blind Willie sing this is missing a real treat. Both of those singers' voices are pure "goosebumps."
God blessed Nina Simone to sing.10-18-23. 3:04 A.M.
This is an awesome arraingment. Good job.
this channel deserves way more subs than it currently has
Wonderful! So funky! What a singer, what a pianist!
These 70s muses are paying tribute to the Godmother of Rock, who inspired Elvis, Little Richard, Geoff beck, etc...Rosetta Tharpe. The legend had a preacher mum
Wow, that knocked my socks off, never heard this before and found it by mistake, thank goodness. Love it.
same here...
@@ankeunruh7364 Right, it's a nice find. I'm going to try to find the original just to see what it sounds like.
@@robertkess9907 looking for origin leads to the same everywhere: it's us. Science tells a different story than the Zep's, who had chosen this song from the well of raw blues, which is us.
Blind Willie Johnson It's Nobody's Fault but mine - here on youtube
I first heard this as a rock harmonica blues song by Paul Butterfield Blues Band in the 70's.This version is awesome as well.
this is great. if this doesn't make you dance, then you must be paralized.
I am thank u for reminding me.

How many times has this song been covered?! If things worked right back when Willie Johnson wrote and recorded it, he'd be a very rich man.

I guess why they call it the blues... Elton John.
God bless Nina always, oft forgotten.
Got to see Etta James live; wish I had seen Nina Simone live.
saw both, Etta was actually better, but this is some badass music
I hear this and think: I'm not scared of dying!
Just think Whom is waiting for me!

See YA in the Pane of Mirror's!!
could've done without the lyrics, but still nice. I'm into instrumental pieces, not that Simone is bad
not into those extra "nobody's" but I'm jammin otherwise
I can't like the first one now because of this remix
Jesus Christy!!
;)
Geriye sadece dinlediğin şarkıları ve birkaç fotoğrafını bıraktın.
Comment about RocknRollaSound. If you think you are going to hear anything close to this again in any of their other mixes, stop that train of thought now. Everything else they've done in no way compares to what they did here. A moment of genius...lost permanently. Sucks to be them. It should be added that the bass which begins the track loses its integrity later in the piece. Inexplicably. Only to make a slight self rescue in the closing chords in which there are some nice chord changes. This needs a rework. And no. Simone would not have been capable of singing that many "Nobody's" without requiring another breath or two. More studio shit. That said, it was their best piece, or whoever RnRSound is.
Quite the critic, aren't you?
Feel free to kindly create some art of your own for others to criticize. Thumbs down for you.
Poor response on so many levels. Their version of Funky Kingston is fantastic to give one example. Adding funk to music
Nope. This remix is hella corny. Sorry.
THIS GAL STOLE THIS SONG FROM LED ZEPPLIN.
drServitis It's Nobody's Fault but Mine" or "Nobody's Fault but Mine" is a traditional song first recorded by gospel blues artist Blind Willie Johnson in 1927. It is a solo performance with Johnson singing and playing slide guitar.[1] The song has been interpreted and recorded by numerous musicians in a variety of styles. So unless Led Zeppelin preceded Johnson in 1927, it was stolen from him. But in fact both versions, as well as others are interpretations of the original, not intellectual property theft you moron. Do some research. "Good artists copy. Great artists steal". -- Pablo Picasso.
drServitis this was A Blind Willie Johnson song Son do your History , Zeppelin covered it.
drServitis Led Zeppelin covered it they did not write it. And most everything else they did was a cover of Forgotten Blues musicians songs.
Please....tell me you're kidding
I seen zepplin do it, love it this one here is beautiful too.
This is awesome.
Good Lord of mine this is goooood
What a gem!
If you only know her song ' my babie just cares for me' , you think: what a great female singer. But this is absolutely HAMMER.👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊
