Sixto Rodríguez is an American folk musician from Detroit. His career initially proved short-lived with two little-sold albums in the early 1970s. Unbeknownst to him, however, his work became extremely successful and influential in South Africa, although there he was mistakenly rumoured to have committed suicide. The full story is reflected in the 2012 Oscar winning documentary: Searching for Sugarman.

Never heard anything by Rodriguez, although I was aware of his story. I see some commentors don't like version. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I do like this. Good work.

Although I like the edit, I was hoping a part of an original song would be emphasized and elevated. The best part of an original song is at the beggining when there is a trombone tune and lyrics are: "Silver magic ships you carry
Jumpers, coke, sweet Mary Jane"
And sadly trombone is missing in this edit :(
