If these guys have the resources to get a replacement instead of a repair, I believe they would most likely do a replacement. But with limited resources, they just have to use what they have. Hats off to these guys and for doing to the best of their abilities to fix stuff!
I can’t even imagine being under that truck doing that breakdown and repair. Insane
Maybe forget painting the truck and concentrate on road worthyness
Just crossing that road safely was impressive enough to me! Great work
I've been welding for 20yrs and to see these dudes doing it with no gloves ,in sandals with half a welding helmet is really gnarly.Watching the passing traffic and the road Crossing was far-out🤘🏿😎 whoa..rock on freaky bros!
I do heavy equipment repair for a living and I've got to say I thought I worked hard my God you guys are some hard working fellas. I'm thankful for the technology and equipment we have we would have replaced all with new parts. Just shows the throw away society America is.
I was glad to see they did not weld on rain gutter down spout. But it does not appear they spent much time engineering the stress requirements. 🙄
Which country from america are you from?
@@nicolasp7395 Virginia,USA 🇺🇸
@@franciscoosuna259 no, it’ll break again
Or the safety
As much respect as I have for these guys, that axle is never going to be structurally sound again. There's a reason why they are cast in single pieces and not welded together.
If it gets the load delivered that's all that counts hats off to these gentlemen doing this work
Yeah...but they didnt spend $5000 to get this done
@@schickmann They spent dozens of labour with cheap, in fact, cheapest possible quality slapped across that truck, right in the middle of a road (I don't even want to get into the transportation costs, long/short term).
The worst part is that this will remain exactly the same way if another truck loses its tire, next moment.
And we wonder why there is such a huge difference between the developed and developing world.
You haven't used hand made pakistani welding rods then have you lol?!?!
This is all they have, people seem to forget
Hats off to these men. The fact that they work in sandals in and around such dangerous areas leaves me feeling speechless.
This is Pakistan. Every thing is possible here 😂
@@umairumairii6286 lol yes
There people out there doing more dangerous things with safety and are expert in it
@Jesus is coming. Read the Gospel. Thank you very much.
if safety was a priority to them, they would of take this trash to the scrape metal.. but no someone has to die first .
Thx man, i think most of asian work like this 😂, btw im from Indonesia
Mashaallah. You guys are hardcore hardworking people. Thumbs up !!! Eid Mubarak to all.
I would have liked to see the final result when the axel was ready to go back on the truck. To many tasks left out on the reconstruction of this axel, but as the old saying goes "where there is a need, there's a way". Thanks for sharing. 😁👍🇺🇸
They fucked it.
"Where there's a will, there's a way", no?
It's spelt "axle".
Fuck it, when in rome..
*Too many tasks
no fucking way that axel is gonna hold anything they want it to, its literally made of melted welding rods now which are brittle and have zero tolerance compared to steel, it would prob save them a shit lot of extra work just by reducing the loads they carry, but i gotta feeling thats not gonna happen
Hats off to these guys working hard in this scorching heat. Matching both wheels inline or maintaining axel shaft concentric with axel hub using welding & without any fixture is remarkably a extraordinary skill set. These guys are no less than an engineer.
They are unlucky engineer living in unlucky environment
That isn't engineering it's criminal negligence.
Rubbish, this level of crap repair is probably why it broke in the first place

The winner of thickness leaf spring in the world..and that's the result😂
This is the very epitome of self sufficiency! I can’t give enough respect to these guys.
amazing work. In flip flops….my heroes
Say what you will about proper vehicle use, safety and repair "quality", what I see is that these guys are the Kings of "can do" and for that no kidding - deep respect.
YES!
When you have bugger all and your truck is your life, you do what you must.
A 'new' replacement - or even 2nd hand - would probably cost more than a year's income.
Ask your grandparents what things used to be like in your 'rich man's world'.

It's so refreshing to see such recognition of honest hard workers.
Unfortunately it's now 'people like them' who find it extremely difficult to enter and / or stay in your country (where they've lived for 2 or more generations) - or even live peacefully in their own country - because of bigotted morons who don't approve of their chosen way of dressing or their chosen religion.
USA - land of freedom of choice, provided the nation approves.
Love the holes in the frame. Plus it wasn't the wheel hub that failed. It was the broken axel from the constant overloading.
I didn't see any rust holes if that's what you were referring to. It's also amazing how the axle housing BROKE before the shaft SNAPPED. I would think it should have snapped an axle first before the housing caved in?!?!?
@Guillotines_For_Globalist_Scum The axle shaft does not support any weight. It just turns the hub. The axle housing supports the weight under that insane stack of leaves. I have to count them now. 25 leaves including the top helper stack.
@@davidkeeton6716 Axles can definitely break or twist if they are propelling a load beyond their designed capabilities.
Big respect to you guys. !!! No power tools, ALL by hand…. Unreal. 👍👍👍👍
This is what they should teach in trade schools and in the Army. In the field, you can't just expect to find new parts falling from the sky, unless you have thick stacks of money or friends with aircraft. These guys are the real mechanics that get things rolling again. Hats off to them!
The weight limit on the truck is based on how thick the spring pack is. That theory seems to work well over there, judging by the number of axle and suspension repair videos coming out of this country. The upside of this theory is it keeps men and boys employed. The downside is, well, it kills people. But it keeps the repair guys busy, right?!?
Nice theory. But the reality is the truck owner probably modified the leaf spring and the bed to carry more load per trip so he could make more money per trip also
@@LeftOverMacNCheese возможно,
Affordable too , replacing with new one worth lot. It’s Pakistan 🇵🇰
I live here. We like to load the truck till the axel breaks. It should not be like that. But it's somewhat the norm. If a trailer says 880kg max, you could get away loading it up to 4 tons. Most vehicles are engineered way beyond their stated load carrying capacity, if you ignore the safety. Thing is they don't make em the way the used to in the seventies. Most axel breaks happen on newer trucks. Seeing how thin the metal is and how hollow it is says all about the quality. Hino, Isuzu, Faw, dongfeng, are the common ones, we used to have Bedfords. You could load those till the wheels carved the prints in the tar on the roads but the axels would stay in place. Overloaded Old bedfords destroyed most of the national highways. These days we have the newer trucks, one pot hole is all it takes to break , especially when overloaded.
Why your name's Bergdhal though?
Being pakistan 🇵🇰, they need to import parts which make it expensive. Thus the elaborate repairs sector.

I’d be willing to bet that a majority of those vehicles would be taken out of service if they had any kind of safety inspection program.
That whole country should be out of service by our safety standards lmao
Safety inspection bumper looks good ok you pass

@@aersn4locs that's mean af but I did laugh
Good lord. Bless these guys for their mechanical aptitude and skills. They certainly know what they're doing and jump right in there to fix the problem. That differential housing, case, and axle shaft alone is extremely heavy much less handling it, the dual wheel hub, dis-& reassembly on the side of the road. Amazing.
O Problema é a qualidade do material, existe alguns países do Sul doeste Asiático que a miséria é tanta que não tem preocupação com a qualidade do serviço e do material, Índia é um exemplo
@Nikhil Shinde no need to be so touchy and rude. We Indians are slightly delusional about our nation's developmental status, to put it mildly. We have made great strides forward, but we still have a long way to go to catch up even with China, never mind the West.
Very hard work, not a very good repair though.
That kid with the black rag on his head has an absolute deathwish.
These clowns have no idea what they're doing 😂 stop circle jerking around them.
If you have a chance to go to Cuba you'll see what those guys can do. Believe me, I go there every year to visit friends and things these guys can repair is beyond belief. I've been pulling wrenches since the 70' and the Cubans can do much more of what I can do with tools and parts that they're so crappy that you'll put them in the scrap bin. You do what you need to do to keep the wheels rolling. Cheers.
I’m always impressed by these Pakistani mechanics. Crude tools, zero safety equipment, but they always get the job done.

No tow trucks to carry something that size over there (at least worth the price) Congrats
Its also funny that you never see a torque wrench and they go across some HELLish terrain and it seems to last a lot longer than shit made in the US with mechanics who are in a clean room with every tool they need and still fuck the shit up... You can add as many leaf springs as you like but the axle has its limits. The only suspension on this truck is the tires.
The spring has a lot of standard axle, it's useless, the spring with a lot of suspension doesn't play normally.
As many leaves as possible 🤣 and a helper spring all they are doing is adding more weight on the axel.

Shit like this is why I see the need for DOT even though they're a huge pain in the ass. BTW what wasn't the hub it was the whole dam axle.

I'm an American, and was in Thailand 21 yrs. and built several houses with local hill tribe helpers. Most of the framing is with steel members. I didn't like welding, so I always had helpers do that part. Once they came running to me with their welding masks and told me to look at the sun. It was a partial eclipse. Another time, they all jumped down from their workplaces and ran down the dirt road. I soon realized they were chasing a large snake. Dinner.
