Hong Kong is the one place on earth to get great wonton noodle soup and dim sum. I feel like you should ask her to take you to those yummy spots instead. It’s been 21 years since I roamed the streets of Tsim Tsat Sha Tsui. Sigh.
I usually don’t comment Chris even though I really enjoy all your videos because you’re so authentic BUT I also really loved that this video was different! Booking Virginia and showing us these spots was awesome, thanks Chris!!
Hahaha yay! 🎉 I felt like I relived it again when I watched it =) it was so much fun. And Chris is honestly the nicest and most genuine UA-camr out there. He taught me so many tips and tricks - thanks buddy!!!
This video is a lot of fun to watch. I was born in Hong Kong and grew up eating these local food (except for the snake wine). Virginia took you to the very classic local food there! 🤤
Hey Chris. This was probably my favorite video of this HK series. You did a smart thing hiring Virginia. She gave a lot of insight and took you to places that you probably would have missed. She's awesome. I first became aware of her on the Best Ever Food review show channel. And she's also on a Food show on Netflix as well. And I've followed her for a few years already on Instagram and know of her UA-cam. Smart girl and great personality. Yeah that Pineapple bun looked dope. I would totally love to have that for breakfast. By the way, I've been to the Avenue of the Stars a number of times, that's basically the Hong Kong version of the Hollywood walk of fame with all HK movie stars. I don't know if you saw the Bruce Lee statue there. Anyway, great series. Looking forward to the next one.
I love this video, I was born in HK before I immigrated to the USA when I was 3 years old. I have been back many times but seeing you enjoy HK warms my heart. Thanks for the adventure.
sorry for my bad English, I have to say what a great video! you show real life in hong kong not rich people and tourist areas that is good! Virginia knows Hong Kong so well! I think she is better than many local people!
Hi Chris, you’re right, it won’t be enough time to visit HK if only for 7 days! You really need 2 weeks! I have family living in Hong Kong, my aunty is living in Hong Kong so when we visit she’ll always take us to the best places!
Chris,I wish you good LUCK & safe journeys to you always on your third days in Hong Kong,China to tours around the city with Virginia in great joy 2023❤❤❤
i am from Hong Kong, there are lot more local food that you have missed, even in Shum Shui Po the one you talked about has much more to offer, you need to come back for more (egg tart, wonton noodle, tofu dessert, mixed stuff noodle, east fried toast, roast pork...)
it's hilarious Chris. from a not-so-good fishball moment in M'sia, you now met "Miss Fishballs" in HK 😂 the universe has spoken. Virginia is a fantastic host. i remember watching her via the Netflix show, Restaurants on the Edge in 2020. cheers for trying stinky tofu, a bucketlist item in HK. done!
Bro, im from Hong Kong and love how you and Virginia communicated. You as always be yourself spontanious and sincere. Keep up the good work, and indeed one day some day you'll drive that Lamborghini that isnt rented... 🙏🏼🔥🙏🏼
Finally sham shui po as a hongkong fans of Chris I was wonder when will u visit sham shui po but finally🎉the most dark side most hustle place in HK definitely is sham shui po. I hope this video can show difference angle of Hong Kong to others from around the world.❤
My dude Chris coming at us again with that good content. I like how you do a little of everything. Local walkthroughs, market bargains, airport arrivals, food tours. Good shit man. ✌️ I hope to run into you one day on my travel journey dude.
Recently discovered your channel, Chris; love it. 20:00 For a professed foodie, I'm surprised that Virginia holds her chopsticks in this manner. Gets part of the job done, I suppose, but hardly the most efficient way. If the chopsticks make an X, = incorrect. 21:00 Just char siu (pork)? I would be disappointed on a private guided tour that a combo wasn't ordered , such as roast pork, chicken, duck, and the holy grail of roast goose. And where's the Michelin-starred hole-in-the-wall dim sum... Another reason why roast meat stalls do so well is that it's very unusual for HK apartments to have an oven. Some of the modern ones, especially those built to be rented to expats, will have one. Happy travels. 😁
2nd time I visited HK, I bought two pineapple buns fresh from some “hole in the wall” in Wan Chai….I took my first bite when someone stopped me begging for food…the pineapple bun tasted soooo damn good I thought to myself “heck no” and gave the person 20 dollars instead 😂
She has a good personality. I will be supporting her UA-cam channel. Does she have Facebook? If not, sorry if that was too personal to ask. She gave the whole HONG KONG of food in just 37 minutes of the video. She’s very smart. Keep up the good videos brother.
Great Video. I was in hk during march period and hk was a nice place especially the weather was good and chilly. Should visit mongkok for some shopping spree!
I do recommend for part 2 with Virginia. Maybe she can take him to Sai Kung for some mantis shrimp, clams, & other seafood. Dim Sum, Fish Ball, Roast Goose, Beef Brisket/Wonton Noodles, and he mention clay pot rice are waiting for him to try. If he came back to cha chaan teng, egg tart or french toast is a must.
Great video Chris, I'll be in HK in a few days, I look forward to sampling the local food, alas after seeing the prices for Virginia's tours I think I'll give that a miss...waaaaay over (my) budget and surely many other travellers' budget...
You found a great food guide Chris, watched her UA-cam channel. I still have a bottle opener from a local bar when they were promoting Blue Girl Beer. Got used to the air conditioning units dripping on you as you walk through the streets? Lol.
Chris, I have been to this location "Avenue of the Stars" both Jackie Chan and Mishelle Yeoh are both included at this site. It is nice to visit on Victoria Harbour as well as Star Ferry.
Awesome. Locals know the best spots. I hope you went to Macau and tried the portugese tarts from Lord Stows. I literally go there every year just for them when in HK.
