D2 came out on my 9th birthday, and I no-lifed it as soon as we got the giant CD box. I remember being kind of freaked out by the little doll creatures. Something about how they just kind of exploded into a bunch of little fragments when you killed them. Really bugged me. So I never hated them for being brutal enemies on Nightmare/Hell, but because I was relatively little at the time and they just scared me.
Well I thought it was just fine. No complaints from me, but if its 4 am and your brain isn't working right, and you can't sleep I wouldn't be playing a hardcore character, sounds like a good way to be starting over ;(
Well, what's life without a little bit of risk? :+) In all seriousness, though, that's not something I'd normally do, but felt comfortable enough with, here on Nightmare. Plus, I didn't feel too good about the recent sparse uploads, so wanted to provide some more. I certainly won't take such risks on Hell, honest! :+)
Dolls are one of my most hated enemies too. And to make matters worse, they can show up in Act V as well. If they're in Baal's throne room, they can get resurrected by Achmel or his mummies and mess you up unexpectedly.
