For everyone wondering about the Knucklehead Trout dialogue: It's shown in the next episode, during a wider segment about rude responses in general. We won't miss out on that precious scrimshaw! :+)
i was like 1 minute in and caught myself with a big smile on my face (: im so happy (: oh and mivsan, our expectations are not important, absolutely not. we only want you to feel good about doing this - then nothing can go wrong, because your style and your knowledge are an insane combination. and of course the fanbase is going to be a bit selfish, because they know that they are in for an absolute treat here ^^
Discovered your channel in Baldur's Gate subreddit, someone linked your introduction video for IWD playthrough. Really like the format and the way you interact with viewers, feels very genuine. Looking forward for this playthough!
I am so excited for this, Icewind Dale is my favorite game of my childhood, beating out even BG2. I always get lost in big cities and prefer exploring the wilderness.
we barely walked out of the starting inn, and i'm already seeing how much thouht and planning went into this. I don't know anything about this game, but I love seeing people carefully route things and I can see even blind how routed it is ;D
I am playing this game over and over again for 15 years and this is the first time I saw those back stairs in Pomab's shop. This gonna be so much fun :D
Mivsan_NT, your sensible way to run these nice games reminds me of elegant chess problems where economy of means is the goal. It has something mathematical in it, to bring exactly what is needed in a situation, no more, no less. Six months ago, i played ID EE too, with my casual and orcish Armageddon Tactics, but i'm sure that seeing you playing the Trials of the Luremaster and crashing these horribles empty armoured horrors will teach me a lesson of how to play with more subtlety. Thank you very much for all you did and will do ( BG1 and BG2, what a pleasure to watch and learn !). And to finish, please remind us from time to time to the beauty of the soudtrack , created by the great Jeremy Soule. Arrival at Kuldahar, what a beauty ! Have a nice run !
Beyond excited to see another series from you! I can't wait to watch you brave the Spine of the World and bring delve far past what I've ever managed myself. Your "completionst fashion" is always welcome! Onward with your brave 17 CHA paladin! XD
I am astonished about your knowledge of the game, even about the npc names. I played this game until the end two times with the original version, and I do not remember such details, only the main story plot.
I'm just about to finish another of my playthroughs of IWD and it's highly enjoyable to see what I've missed in each and every of them by watching this ;D
I didn't know about Pomab's upstairs room for the longest time. I didn't even know about tavern cellar first couple of playthroughs 'cos I'd just go straight out.
Hmm. I was surprised you skipped the "insulted halfling" conversation path (1, 3) with Brey! You can "net" yourself a knucklehead trout early, allowing you to solve a slightly later quest slightly earlier as well. ;)
We ran out of townspeople in the tavern and I didn't get back to it, but we will have a little "rude response" segment in the next episode to finish the townie dialogues subject. :+)
@@Mivsan_NT Makes sense ;) I just re-checked and it works with gnomes as well. (Man, I can't believe I'm experiencing a Mivsan Infinity Engine Playthrough as it happens! Hope you enjoy playing it as much as I'm enjoying watching.)

just watched episode 0 and i nearly threw up in the character introduction XD Very interested in how this is going to play out :) Your Invoker is actually really good compared to the rest. Is this a biased situation? Some dialogues are actually voiced, not sure if this was done in later patches.
2:28 G’day Mivsan, regarding the dialogue box readout. I regularly watch UA-cam through my phone. As a consequence it is nearly impossible for me to read any but the largest text fonts on screen. This applies to your added white text corrections. I know they’re there, I just can’t read them. Would love a little more narration, if you could bring yourself to do it.
After playing IWD2 you could see how fake main antagonist are. One of the examples is that they tell to yuan-ti that they will give them kuldahar and to aurilites that they will destroy it.
It's under development (has a beta release with initial work done to test things out). Unless it gets some cool Tactical Challenges, however, the benefits of AI improvements alone will be relatively minor, due to the nature of fights in IWD and low amounts of spellcasters. Whenever it does get a more complete release, I will be eager to check it out and make some videos on it. We'll see! :+)
@@Mivsan_NT I'm looking forward to it.) I considered myself an expert on this game, but I had already learned a dozen (minor, but nonetheless) things that were new to me.>

Let's discover everything Easthaven has to offer!
UA-camr shutting up for a minute so we can enjoy the music... Sir, you are truly a man of culture.

Have you checked out Mivs BG playthrough? You'll not be disappointed.

I'm torn. I want to watch this video right now. But I also want to binge watch as I did your BG1 & 2.
Check back in 3 years lol
tell me. I still have 15 episodes of BG2: TOB to watch

As usual, thank you very much for your amazing work. ❤

YEEEEES! I was waiting for this so badly for 10 days, and in my impatience I even started to rewatch your old BG videos.
It is possible that Mivsan follows a 10-day week, in keeping with the Forgotten Realms universe. 😂
Awesome episode, I really like the commentary.
I DID enjoy this episode indeed. looking forward to the next ones
We need episode 2 man. Dont leave me hanging like this
I've never known that tavern patrons could give you different responses, based on class of the character
That theme is truly great, nice to hear it again. Stairs in Pomads Emporium I had never seen. Looking forward to the next episode :)

The only thing that "worries" me about no reload approach is with pick-pocketing. What happens if it fails and gets detected?

No, at least yet. But you can try "Improved Heart of Fury Mode" by OlvynChuru.

You just made a 2,5 hour long introduction in the last video. Do you really think a 10 min recap intro really is necessary in this video?
