    Hey Rachel! Love your videos! I'd love to know how to apply teabag tips while using gels with dips. I react badly to dip liquids, so had to switch to gels. I couldn't get my tips to stick though! I wound up using Gorilla glue!!! AAHHH! Save me from myself and let me know the right way! Thanks so much!

      wimberly kneisler I’m not really sure how you would use tea bags with the gel method! Let me do some research and see if that is possible. 💗

      I haven't done tips yet with a teabag but I've done a teabag piece to mend a crack & used nail glue. I do plan on doing tips soon & will try the glue then base coat, clear dip, cure...

    "betrayed its sisters" hahaha. Question: Are you assuming that your audience will already know what teabag tips are? If there is a chance that somebody won't, it might not hurt to give some context with just a really short explanation. Your lighting is good. Sound quality is good. It's easy for me to see what you are doing. And your personality shines in the intro. Don't lose that!

      Nancy Carver thank you for the feedback Nancy! You’re right I should have considered the facts hat people may not know what a tea bag tip is. I will work on my explanations in the future ❤️

    Hello there! Hey, are tea bags any easier to remove or more durable than tips?

    • @RachelATSchmitz
      @RachelATSchmitz  4 роки тому +1

      I would say the tea bags themselves are less durable when “naked” than tips but once they are dipped I would say yes. They seem to adhere to the nail bed better that the plastic of a tip. As far as removing I would say they are about the same only the tea bag you can buff away if you need to and tips not so much so in that sense it could be faster with tea bags.

    Would I do these same steps to shape my natural nail?

    • @RachelATSchmitz

      Sarah Goddard yes, though I really hate shaping my naked natural nail. You must be much more gentle and file only in one direction.

    Hi Rachel! I was wondering if you could give me advice on how to make it so you don’t see the line from a fake tip underneath

    • @RachelATSchmitz
      @RachelATSchmitz  4 роки тому

      This is one of the reasons why I use tea bags. Since they are so thin they are much more natural looking. If you do a full dip of clear after attaching the tea bag and then active and buff it should be almost just like your nail.
      I have yet to find any plastic tips that look as natural.
