    -------------------
Hey Everybody! Today Paulo Runs Through "Rahdo's Goofs"
If you find Goofs I didn’t notice Please leave Timestamps :)
    Thank You
9:30 This is not correct... The Bonus you get from having a balanced Sled increases the Speed, so his current total Speed is 4 so he would have to draw 1 Dent card!
Alternatively, since the Bonus Speed is Optional, he could choose not to use the bonus Speed and if he did so he would be at 3 Speed and wouldn't draw a Dent card.
9:51 Forgot to draw a card at the end of his turn
10:50 As stated previously, the Bonus Speed counts, after all it alters the Speed! :)
So Jen would have to draw 2 Dent cards!
11:23 Specially because he has 1 card less than what he should have! :p
12:08 Forgot to draw cards again
19:40 Forgot to change the Chit value of the brakes from 3 to 2
21:51 Forgot to change the Chit value of the brakes from 3 to 4

I love the logic that you could hit 5 trees before finally breaking the sled.

I like to think of it as glancing blows off the trees. After all dogs don't have the tendency to want to run into trees.

I picked up the one after this, Mush!Mush!, and it's a blast! I like the modular board with this version though.

@rahdo if you and Jen want to try a similar card driven racing game that works fantastically with 2 check out Thunder Alley. you're managing a team of race cars, and moving cars also moves the cars around them (in different ways, depending on the card you play). it's a very fun spatial puzzle, and with 2 it's a lot more strategic than with higher player counts where the board changes a lot before it comes back to your turn.

My plan for this game is to play a environment simulated game. Play it outdoors in the cold winter with no winter gear. Make it feel like we are in the Alaska snow.

ISTM you have left/right mixed up with the faster dogs. A faster red-flag dog (on the right of the sled) should move you away from the red/right side toward the yellow/left side. To go through the turn to the right you want your faster dog on the left (yellow, outside) side. It's basic theoretical physics. :) It's easy to remember, the outside dog has to travel farther so they need to go faster.

This. I was facepalming when he said that he would move left if his left dog pulled harder.

+PerunaVallankumous Yeah I thought he had that wrong but am tired enough to doubt myself. Same way tracked vehicles like tanks work as well one side of the tracks goes faster to turn, opposite directions to rotate in place.

Tom Vasel said his kids had trouble with this too. TBH, I didn't notice it until around 18:00 when Rahdo was trying to figure out how to navigate through the trees.

I will have to double check my copy but I believe he played correctly. The idea being that the dogs are not rigidly attached to a yoke but rather loosely attached with guide ropes.

You're absolutely right! The rulebook says:
The sled drifts towards the dog pulling hardest. (e.g. a sled with Canine Cards of 3-5 would cause a drift 2 to the right).
      Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that the bonus counts toward your speed in the turn speed limits

I can't understand how drifts work it seems to me that you can just drift whenever you like, you just have to have difference in dog power. ???

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  8 років тому

you are required to drift during your turn equal to your dog power, but you can do it at any point during the movement

Those cards look pretty small, or you have giant hands.
