Thanks Eric! You got my fishing blood going. Perching on southern L. Mi. is where I am when the big lake looks like that. You should have shared a screen shot on Di / Si /sonar for those viewers who have not made the leap to live/active imaging. Finding the schools of roaming bandits is the key. Spotting a pack of boats is just the beginning of a successful trip. Second, with minnows on a perch rig give it 5-10 seconds after the first bite to double up those jumbos. Nice work on the blades. Another great video thanks.
My grandpa used to take me fishing out by the break wall by dekoven when I was kid. Best freaking perch fishing ever. Those were the good old days. Love ya gramps!
Thanks so much for the awesome like always video!!! My PB perch is a 14.5” hawg out of south eastern basin of the big lake! They’ve always been one of my top 3 favorites to eat!! Now the perch have been slowing down a bit but hopefully the thermoclines will kick back up and get some warmer air!! Appreciate your help with all the videos. It’s always a learning process.. Cheers 🍻
Hi Eric, It may have been about 10 years ago but I recall you and one of your buds were fishing in Milwaukee Harbor in the fall (winter?) using spawn and crankbaits. Moored sailboats stick in my mind and flicker shads were featured as I recall. In that piece you showed a way you customized your crankbaits with orange, pink, etc. markers. Do you know if those were any special kind of marker and if so, what kind. Or if you can direct me to that episode that would be great too. I searched vigorously but couldn't find the episode. Thanks for the informative videos!
Love the video I live in northern Indiana and I always say I'm going to try for them jumbos just never take the time to figure out where guys launch from. Maybe this year I'll finally try lol
I have a friend who fishes every day on Lake Monona and only keeps fifteen inch perch and gets enough to eat a few a day. He throws anything smaller back. He has been doing this for more than twenty years.
Hey man! Love watching your videos! I live right in tosa on the Menomonee river. Do you know if the steelhead are still up there because it’s been so rainy and going to get warm? If they are there, they will be in beds right?

Any perch over 12 inches is giant. I can't imagine 15 inchers. Beautiful fish
I lived near Lake Michigan where you are in the 70s, the water was dirty and brackish looking. It's amazing to see how much it has cleaned up
its not a blessing clear water dosnt mean clean water
Yea it's not clean, worse than ever
Another great video!!
I really enjoy how you keep on the topic, and not selling products...
Very enjoyable!

We do the same every spring on lake erie with shiners. Nothing like bringing 2 15 inchers in on the same light gear. Always a blast
I agree with you! Perch is the best for me also since my dad got me into fishing when I was 3.

With salmon fishing being shut down on the Left Coast I’m ready to move to get in in some of this action.
Being shut down? Wtf
Where is it shut down
Wow, those are the best imo, I have family in Miller Beach , right where you are. I usually have to go to flamingos for my perch lol
Shout out to DILLON!

You can launch out of Portage Marina.
On simcoe we have the say kind of deal but it's in April, right after the ice melts, my pb from there is 14 1/2
I have a friend who fishes every day on Lake Monona and only keeps fifteen inch perch and gets enough to eat a few a day. He throws anything smaller back. He has been doing this for more than twenty years.
A few years ago we went with a captain from Kenosha to northern Illinois, biggest was 17-3/4” ,
Things you never thought you'd say on the interwebs, 'Only 4mins in and I have a Perch chubby'
Here I am under the Hoan chasing 10" keepers.
That's crazy. Those perch are some hogs, and good footage.
Good video
Real nice. I cant be on a boat. I would like to see more perch fishing from the bank. I am from Chicago. I do fish in our harbors when possible.
My pb perch is 14.75 inches!!!! Just seen this at the end. And nice work with the cohos those looked amazing!!!!

Another great video Eric good job 👏👏👏
Do you ever clean your boat?
Where’s the steelhead vids been this spring?
Definitely need to reduce creel limits and possession limits with livescope a thing now.
What launch did you use?
Guys we are still ice fishing in North Dakota. 20 inches of ice on the lakes as of today March 23.
Awsome! Too bad you didn't have any close-up of the LS showing the marks.
Love those big perch! Nice video.
Would like to hire you to fish in Milwaukee harbor later this fall
where are you fishing...
Nothing like getting on a jumbo perch bite…just caught my PB in Montana through the ice, she weighed 2.16 pounds
Was out last weekend at this exact spot. Insane how big those perch are. What day were you out Eric? Mighta saw ya
Amazing video and tight lines!
I always tell my clients, “when it happens.” Regarding to taking off with your kicker down.
Fish long enough, it’ll happen.
Those are yellow perch I suppose?
Capt Patato put your kicker up lol
Nice bite for sure!
Perch are awesome!!!!!
What city is close to you???
Milwaukee
why such heavy line?
love picifun reels
Nice catch 😮❤
Nice haul boys
How far out from shore? Looked too far out for my boat
6 miles out
Bender park oak creek, Wisconsin
Lol remember back when Bender boat launch was actually a good spot
Fantastico!
Great video 👍
Nice ladies love perch
Catch n release those jumbos there the best spawners
Can’t they’re so deep their eyes pop out and their air blatter is in the throat
Did you see the air bladders? Fish are swimming dead when landed.
They are abundant.....usually can keep like 50 per person per day
It's lake Michigan..... Normal inland lakes I'd say your correct but perch numbers in the Great lakes are practically infinite
Perch spawn is much later. Those pigs need to be dinner for you or else they will be dead and dinner for cormorants.
Perch fishing should be closed during spawning on Lake Michigan. Perch population is still nowhere where it should be.
