Will it make the Cut? Milwaukee QUIK LOK Brush Cutter Attachment

- This Milwaukee QUIK LOK Brush Cutter attachment tackles most of the overgrown jobs your string trimmer can't. The 9-inch 4-prong blade churns up to 6,800 RPM when the M18 FUEL Power Head is on High. It only takes a few seconds to attach the Milwaukee Brush Cutter head to the Brushless motor power head. You get two speeds, Low and High, and the lanyard makes carrying the weight very easy. You can get the brush cutter attachment for just $149.

I tried the stock blade, and a chain-saw style blade. Neither was optimal. For cutting brush, nothing beats coupling the Milwaukee brush cutter attachment with an Oregon Universal Mulching Brushcutter 2 Tooth blade. It's astounding what you can do with that setup.
I use the same oregon blade on my Stihl FS131r for heavy brushcutting and it's an absolute game changer. No other blade even compares for cutting thick briars/vines/etc.
Thanks for the demo, I got the rig with the string trimmer and know I need a little extra in some place, great video!
Awesome video. I needed some help with the installation as the included instructions were not comprehensive. This was pure gold for me. Thank you!
I don’t need one but I watch every STR video, thank you Tim very informative!
I have a blackberry cane problem. Just tried this brush cutter today and am very pleased with the results.
I have some brush like this on my property. Discovered that using the hedge trimmer attachment works great. Fast and does an excellent job.
I've done that too, it's like a sickle bar mower.
Great idea. I feel like that would be more effective than this brush cutter, and more versatile
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
I have the head unit already and the pole chainsaw; This might be the middle-ground that I need to deal with blackberries, morning glory, and ivy. Thanks for putting it together.
Get a arborist helmet and shield...this thing is a beast and it can fling rocks and debris just like the string trimmer. I won't operate mine without it.
I also stand to the right of the tool because of that (using it like im left handed)

Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
Thank you for this video. I'm ordering this attachment asap! I have the M18 Fuel weed eater/pole saw combo. I like the weed eater but with all the miscellaneous "stuff" laying around our farm (fences rows, out buildings etc) I have to replace the string multiple time before I am finished. And don't get me started on weeds...ugh iron weed the bane of my weed eating existence!
Great video, love your stuff! Any chance you’d consider a comparison between the different brush cutter/power head combos from Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ego, and so on?
Its always a good idea to retain your nuts!
Looks like something I could use to try and keep the bamboo away from the fence. Have to look into it. Thanks.
DOES IT WORKK????
I have an old Echo 58volt trimmer that I regularly put a Forester blade on. Smaller is better. Large diameter blades are for high cc gas trimmers.
Does the hip barrier come with the brush cutter attachment if bought on its own
On high how much run time a you realistically getting out of a full battery?
You can use the same neck/pole/attachment and just swap out the heads between a string or blade right?
What would be more ideal for whackin' out huge weeds?
The string trimmer works just as good except on growth thats 1/2-3/4" or larger
Combi units are great, I have 2 Husqvarna 535LK's and they are excellent! With a Oregan mulching blade, they are almost unstoppable! In my opinion, if you are going to use a brushcutter blade, take the guard off!
Yes, definitely take the guard off if you're going to be using a brush cutter blade. That way, it will be easier to take the toes, shin bones, and kneecaps off, also.

where can find the HEAD, I WANT TO INSTALL DIFFERENT CUTTER BLADE
Can you just install a brush blade onto the existing trimmer?
thanks for the vid!
Wish I could find the attachment that allows you to hang all the extension options. Seen that it comes with the extensions in Australia. Screw it on and hang it. Also, when are the going to add snow thrower like the ego?
Handheld snow throwers are kind of garbage. Better to just get an electric blower. I'm not talking about power, just by design. They're not good. Way too small to actually get anything done.
you'd get better results with the brush attachment.
@@Walkopthey made a paddle broom that they rated for a couple inches of snow. I wouldn’t advise it as your only tool tho.
Can you add the brush cutter blade to the strimmer head ?
Can you convert a regular milwaukee weed eater into a weed eater that you can change out the diffrent heads on?
Do i have to buy a whole new attachment or can i just replace the blade on the string trimmer head
You need the whole attachment
Would have been awesome if they could have found a way to sell just a conversion kit to turn their line trimmer fitment into the brush cutter, maybe by just swapping out heads rather than needing a completely separate Quik Lok attachment.
You know why, to make those profit margins!
@@weedpuff Absolutely !!
Their dual battery trimmer makes more torque than any gas brush cutter on the planet
Very noticeable difference between turtle and rabbit. Would like to know if Milwaukee sells the lanyard hoop separately?
You can buy the hoop and lanyard together for like $20-$25. Not sure about just the hoop.
Leave the shroud off use a face shield or safety glasses.
Blade is dull as a butter knife had to sharpen it to do any real good cutting
So in other words it’s a terrible brush cutter but a decent trimmer. I guess that’s why no one has made a video of it actually clearing brush?
What he’s saying it’s not meant for commercial use for a business but as a residential tool it bits the bill
Yep. It works great on thick tall heavy grass. Anything woody, not so good.
Looks pretty useless to be honest, the string will do exactly what you just did there no problem…
Dude you got alot of junk in the backyard..lol
