  • This Milwaukee QUIK LOK Brush Cutter attachment tackles most of the overgrown jobs your string trimmer can't. The 9-inch 4-prong blade churns up to 6,800 RPM when the M18 FUEL Power Head is on High. It only takes a few seconds to attach the Milwaukee Brush Cutter head to the Brushless motor power head. You get two speeds, Low and High, and the lanyard makes carrying the weight very easy. You can get the brush cutter attachment for just $149.

    I tried the stock blade, and a chain-saw style blade. Neither was optimal. For cutting brush, nothing beats coupling the Milwaukee brush cutter attachment with an Oregon Universal Mulching Brushcutter 2 Tooth blade. It's astounding what you can do with that setup.

      I use the same oregon blade on my Stihl FS131r for heavy brushcutting and it's an absolute game changer. No other blade even compares for cutting thick briars/vines/etc.

      Great idea. I feel like that would be more effective than this brush cutter, and more versatile

    I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

    Get a arborist helmet and shield...this thing is a beast and it can fling rocks and debris just like the string trimmer. I won't operate mine without it.

    Thank you for this video. I'm ordering this attachment asap! I have the M18 Fuel weed eater/pole saw combo. I like the weed eater but with all the miscellaneous "stuff" laying around our farm (fences rows, out buildings etc) I have to replace the string multiple time before I am finished. And don't get me started on weeds...ugh iron weed the bane of my weed eating existence!

    Great video, love your stuff! Any chance you’d consider a comparison between the different brush cutter/power head combos from Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ego, and so on?

    I have an old Echo 58volt trimmer that I regularly put a Forester blade on. Smaller is better. Large diameter blades are for high cc gas trimmers.

    Combi units are great, I have 2 Husqvarna 535LK's and they are excellent! With a Oregan mulching blade, they are almost unstoppable! In my opinion, if you are going to use a brushcutter blade,take the guard off!

    • @stevew3978
      @stevew3978 9 місяців тому +1

      Yes, definitely take the guard off if you're going to be using a brush cutter blade. That way, it will be easier to take the toes, shin bones, and kneecaps off, also.

    Wish I could find the attachment that allows you to hang all the extension options. Seen that it comes with the extensions in Australia. Screw it on and hang it. Also, when are the going to add snow thrower like the ego?

    • @Walkop
      @Walkop Рік тому +1

      Handheld snow throwers are kind of garbage. Better to just get an electric blower. I'm not talking about power, just by design. They're not good. Way too small to actually get anything done.

    Would have been awesome if they could have found a way to sell just a conversion kit to turn their line trimmer fitment into the brush cutter, maybe by just swapping out heads rather than needing a completely separate Quik Lok attachment.
