All I know is when I hear this voice I smile.
He reminds me so much of Merle, but he is so different from him at the same time. I love him not because of who his dad is, but because of who he is. He is an amazing guitar player and singer.

Anyone who has to work for a living has to 'kick the footlights out again'-not just entertainers.
It’s a little bit different. Have you ever been expected to fill the shoes of a legend? A bit different than just punching a time clock. Ben is not just doing this for himself. His father asked him to. Because his father believed in him. And every Merle fan is rejoicing because he is doing it. Not only can he shred on the guitar (he has been lead guitar of The Strangers since he was 15 years old).....he has the voice to back it up. A tone that no other artist in this world has....because HE IS HAGGARD. And he is our boy, and here to stay. And as long as he is willing to kick the footlights out....we will be coming back to listen again and again.
