The day we lost Merle was one of the lowest points of my life. He was my idle, my story & my life from the age of 15 to this very day (67). Couldn’t tell u how many times I was there at his concerts but they were all special!!!

Merle had a unique voice that separated him from most country stars. He was a helluva sing writer and his guitar playing was underappreciated. He had it all and I miss him greatly.
I agree that the late great Merle Haggard was a great Singer and has written some outstanding songs Mama Tried and Okie From Muskogee two highlights . Some credit must be given tho to the other writers who gave him thier songs Particularly The Fugitive which is a lyrical masterpiece .

All three songs sang were beautiful BUT the most beautiful song was Ben singing “all in the movies”. My mother loved this song so much that when she was on her death bed, I played this part of the UA-cam. She silently took her last breath as the violin hummed the last note. So glad she went peacefully to such a beautiful song. Thank you Ben and Noel for this beautiful memory I will forever have. I listen to this about once a week. ❤

I agree that the late great Merle Haggard was a great Singer and has written some outstanding songs Mama Tried and Okie From Muskogee two highlights . Some credit must be given tho to the other writers who gave him thier songs Particularly The Fugitive which is a lyrical masterpiece .

I reccomend you listen to 40s-80s country, you probably like country music, just not this beer drink women shit that they call country. Old country was and still is beautiful
And if you like this type id reccomend listing to merle haggard, marty robbins, hank williams sr, glenn campbell, mel tillis, and some george jones and waylon jennings. You might just like country music more than you think if you give it a chance, also try "amarillo by morning" by george strait.

All three songs sang were beautiful BUT the most beautiful song was Ben singing “all in the movies”. My mother loved this song so much that when she was on her death bed, I played this part of the UA-cam. She silently took her last breath as the violin hummed the last note. So glad she went peacefully to such a beautiful song. Thank you Ben and Noel for this beautiful memory I will forever have. I listen to this about once a week. ❤
