I love Merle Haggard Music and I hate to hear when he passed a way he was my number one BEST country music singer I love to listen to you and your brothers y'all remind me so much of Merle and I can't hear him in you've always when y'all Play I hope y'all come out with some music of your own but I love it when y'all play your dad songs I would like to have all of his music I have heard some that I have never heard before I will miss Him but never met him but I sure have listen to him so you boys do your daddy proud I have heard You all Got your daddy end all of you so keep it going so everyone can list merle Haggard you will always be loved and never forgot RIP
Thanks for the post when Merle passed I felt there's no one that would ever even come close to deliver a country song like Merle but I stand corrected this young man has got it believe me I come from a long line of musicians in-fact my brother Steve White lives in Bakersfield and was David Frizzell and Shelly West steel guitar player back in the 80's and was a good friend of Roy Nichols Merle's lead guitar player back in the 80's when Roy was getting ready to retired I believe do to some health issues he wanted my brother to take his place playing lead guitar for Merle with the strangers Merle said the job was his if he wanted it but my brother had already committed to playing steel for David & Shelly and didn't take the job so Merle hired Clint Strong my brother regretted not taking the job and to this day still bitch's about not taking the job my brother & I both believe with out a doubt Merle Haggard is the best singer that ever came down the pike but we also believe Ben's got the gift I've been listing to his post of him doing his Dads songs and he brings a tear to my ear just like his Dad would do to me and no I'm no pussy he's just that fucking good and that's a fact good luck to you Ben your going down as another one of the greats Thanks again for this post Dennis White.
