    I’ve had my PP 130 for a year now and I like it. I do have to say I agree with you that it’s a finicky stove! I am still figuring out the trim on it, constantly changing with the temperatures. Overall, a very nice stove.

    Ive done alot of research on pellet stoves. I continue to come back to the pp130. Its a simple design without all the wifi touch screens and such. Every stove will have flaws and parts fail. I like how easy it is to replace parts as needed. Thanks for video. My pp130 is being delivered today...along with a new handle😊

      These can heat up about 2500 sqft...
      Would those be too hot for smaller living space? For example a small 600 square feet shack (or trailer home)?
      Or would the thermostat (temp sensor that you show) would still work well to have a steady/confortable temperature?

    I have the Quadrafire Ourfitter 2 which I believe is almost the same model. Love this stove, it has dramatically reduced the amount of oil I have to buy. The machine is easy to repair yourself too. Some may say it looks ugly but I don't care what it looks like as long as it heats.

      @@MilesPelletStovesSo basically, since there's no ash PAN. You have to use a metal vacuum when it is completely out. Or can you use that metal vacuum to suck out the ash along the sides? How often
      Do you clean this stove please?
      I hate the idea of having to shut the stove down to clean it if I'm gonna use it as a primary source of heat.
      Thank you for an awesome video subscribed and liked.

    I lost a control board to a freak thundersnow the first season we had it. I HIGHLY recommend surge protection on these stoves. Other than that. I really like this stove. Yes, daily cleanings with no ash pan can be a pain, but you get what you pay for in that regard. I was new to pellet stoves and was not sure I would enjoy them as a heat source. It is a good entry-level stove. I plan to move it to the garage and upgrade in a few years.

      Good Afternoon
      Fresh air intake is optional on a stick built home. Always refer to manual. We usually see a benefit on newer homes due to windows, insulation and so on.

    • @crosseyedcricket2394

      Fresh air kit will pull air from outside, without it you're creating a vacuum inside your house and any draft will be much worse.

    I got ripped. I bought a Quardrafire Outfitter II. It's a Pel Pro pp130 that will take a thermostat, has a better warranty, and costs 1000 more. The only difference parts wise that I can find, is the control board (I'm assuming it's because of the thermostat compatibility).
    I've had no issues in 2 years and about 3 tons, but if I could go back in time, I would have gotten the pp130.
    Maybe I'm missing some of differences between the pp130 and Outfitter II, but that 1000 dollar difference isn't worth it, from what I see. Maybe you guys know about any real differences.

    I have a question. I just purchased this stove. I did the burn it. Which said to run it on high for 30 minutes then shut it down and clean the pot. I did this. Now my stove will run on high or low but if I use the dial indicators and place it on any number the light blinks amber and shuts down and will not start back up. My temp probe is set about 15 inches off the floor fully extended. What could be the problem? Thanks

    • @MilesPelletStoves
      @MilesPelletStoves  14 днів тому

      Most likely this stove has hit temp setting.
      Unplug stove, turn dial to off.
      Plug in stove, turn to 9 o'clock position...wait and see what happens.

    I’m getting a slight smoke smell when my stove fires up the door seal appears in new/good condition it’s been pulled apart and cleaned the way you’re video suggests
    I was wondering if I can use the small dial below the temperature control to adjust that?

    • @MilesPelletStoves
      @MilesPelletStoves  2 місяці тому +1

      Double check air flow....all venting, burn pot clean.
      The small blue dial below the knob adjusts the pellet feed. If you are receiving too many pellets in burn pot, try turning the blue dial to the 11 o clock position for a while and see if this helps. Left inside firewall panel removed....the air scoop there usually gets filled with ash.
      Please make sure its clean.
      Hopefully this helps.

      I’ve had to blow out my vacuum switch twice since I bought mine. I’ve had mine since 2019. I’ve found that green supreme pellets work best. Very little ash and very little saw dust. For the most part green supreme are clean bags that will prevent auger jams and vacuum issues.

    What is the reason to have the air intake on a remanufacturer home? And I see that there’s a lot of pillows over the market like the quad or the Harmon pellet stove the price difference are tremendous. Do you see a difference on the efficiency of them versus the cost of them?

    • @MilesPelletStoves
      @MilesPelletStoves  3 місяці тому +3

      Manufacturerd home...we believe an outside air kit is needed due to the structure and engineering. Most newer models are pretty air tight.
      Harman and Quads....look at the efficiency rating on both.
      The Harman is pretty unique as there auger and pellet distribution system is well designed
      In our opinion. Take a look at Comfortbilt models if you wish.

      Download the owner's manual if you don't have one. There will be drawings and specs for safe installation.
      Dial on side....just below it is a feed adjustment dial. Usually blue in color. Turn to left approx 11 o clock position. This will decrease the pellet distribution a tad.
      Wait 10 minutes to see if this helps. The owner's manual will really help you out.

    This stove is a pain in the ass. The blue trim level is a nightmare. The dial is almost impossible to get a consistent temperature. The gasket started falling off within a couple weeks. The side panels are a pain to get off with the 3 bolts on each side. The worst thing about it is cleaning it. There are 3 baffles that need to come out and the front and back of them need cleaned. They are a pain in the ass to get out and even harder to get back in. Horrible design! At the bottom left of the stove alot of ash will accumulate there and its hard to get it out even with a small vacuum attachment. Theres more about this stove I did NOT like, but I can't remember it all. It DOES put out amazing heat though! It did heat most of the lower rooms in our house and its a big house. I just purchased the Comfirtbuilt HP42 thanks to your video and I am praying its way better than this pos Pelpro PP130. Their customer service is also great. However, I would never recommend this stove to anyone.

      I feel it's best to keep your comments for others out there. The HP42 is new this year.
      So far....the stove is of good value and standing strong.
      We appreciate your feedback.

      @@MilesPelletStoves ok yeah just being honest. This stove cost my me and my family alot of frustration this year. Whatever you do, do NOT prime the stove on accident while starting it or it will keep dropping pellets and not ignite and when it does your house will be filled with smoke and it takes a long time to get out. Its very easy to do it on accident. Another reason I sold this stove for a new one.

      @@MilesPelletStoves when I get the new stove I will go on your Comfortbilt HP42 review about it and let you know how it is. Thanks again for the great reviews as they are hard to find on youtube, the good ones anyway.
