I picked up one of these and they are awesome. I was worried the antenna clip would not work and it definitely does. Tested in the Florida ocean this week.
I have ordered one so then i will use the Deus in the water. No way i was going to use it with the stock mount. I am sure XP will make changes very soon thanks to this amazing secure case. 👍👍👍
I swing the detector left handed about half the time, if the mount is angled toward a right handed user it will be angled away from a left handed user. They might think about making one that isn't angled. Good idea to fix the loose attachment though.
On mine, you don't even need to put the screws in. I pushed it in and now that sucker isn't coming out. I tried pulling it out and it won't budge. I printed out an XP Deus II logo on stickable glossy printer paper and put it on the lower portion. It hasn't come off yet.
Will the new design include a hole, on the bottom of the case, for the dive plug exchange? Also, might ask him about designing a grove into the bottom of the section that fits into the shaft. Some of us want an exit point for our antenna wire, because we run it through the shaft. I have a small angled hole drilled through the top of the stock mounting bracket, just past where it exists the shaft. I just have the tip of the wire picking out, behind the control box.
I’ve already started shipping new models with a hole in the bottom. I’ve designed a grove for those of you who run the antenna through the shaft. Doing some testing new.
The tilt would be nice when diving . I water detect diving and wading sometimes in currents strong enough I have to tether the detector to me . I’ve never had the remote come off fortunately. If it did it’s attached to the wires headphones when in the water .
@@MentalMetal strain on the headphones would only be the weight of the Remote if and after it broke the supplied tether and pulled free from the antenna clip and wire. It’s a viable solution to those that are having the problem and the tilted screen is nice too.
Unless you are diving you don't need to change anything. Its not a waterproof plug, its made for pressure for deep underwater conditions. The one that comes standard is waterproof. The red one is for diving purposes.
Anyone tried one of these on a D2 dive shaft? I took my original clip out and the 3d printed end is to big. Its literally the same size as the shaft. I could understand if it was an after market dive shaft but being its a D2 I would think the shaft is the same size as a regular stick?
Bottom row buttons covered,i get its stopping the remote falling off but that's it,for the money i'd want screen cover incorporated, that will be a muck magnet.
There are only 2 rows of buttons on the D2 so I don't know what you are talking about. The case does not cover up anything. This case is perfect IMO you have access to everything on the front and back of the remote.
Got one of these two weeks ago, love it! I have the 45”
antenna going through the shaft!
Good choice!

Great to hear!
You will love it. I got one videos are coming out. They are wonderful with that angle he put on it for video recording.
Agree they are nice.
Hi Scott. I Just Now Placed An Order To RC Digs, Thank You For Sharing Where You Purchased It. Stay Safe 🙂
Hope you enjoy it!
Great video review of the case. Give Rocky a hug!
Thanks I will.
Like how I can hear Rocky panting in the background. Best Dog ever.
Thanks I think so too.
Mine came today. Haven’t put it on yet. Thanks
Hope you like it!

They make them for right or left handed folks angled as appropriate.
Should be quickly rotatable. I also switch hands often when I’m swinging my detector.
I’m working on making one that is not angled.
Thanks great show, good to see they are open to sensible suggestions from user to improve it. I will be getting one 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Steve's detector rods has a great Deus II rod and it has a foolproof mount. Easily removed if needed. I love it so far.
They are nice I've seen them but they are pricey. This does the trick for those who just want to secure their remote.
@@MentalMetal Steve's rods are pricy (I had one for my Equinox) but they are also top quality.
I bought one and love it. Would you ask your friend to make one for the WS6?

I have the green one, great for visibility under water.
I have that one too! Nice!
Great review and your dog is so cool.
Thank you very much!
Any discussion with RC during the construction to ship them out with the screw holes already being drilled/tapped?
I think I mentioned that in the video.
We ship it with brass threaded inserts.
case shaft too wide to mount on XP Deus stem. Do I need to use sand paper to make it fit
Yes you need to use a very fine piece of sandpaper and slightly sand down the edges of the mount.
@@MentalMetal got it. Really like this set up. Thanks
still have plan to print by miself(im from sud italy and cost too much) when i setting the print at good, look good solution
Order one bout 30 min. ago. Thanks.
I'm sure you are going to like it.
From where did u bought it please
Everything is in the video and linked in the description.

You are tethered that way but I would rather not put the tension on another wire. Over time they will break or separate off their leads.

I run my antenna through the shaft and out of the shoe clip. Is there any provision on this case for that situation?
The shoe clip is completely removed. You could drill a hole on the side of the shaft and have it come out where the new mount will go in.
I have designed a groove to accommodate the antenna running through the shaft.
I still have a little bit of stock left, without the groove.
Thanks looks interesting.

Impressive! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
So, every time you switch waterproof plug, gray/red, one must remove Deus from case😢

Great product hits the mark but here is the thing i have the stl files to print these out
I guess you can print your own. I'm sure others will do the same.
Just ordered one. If nothing else it will protect the remote if dropped.
It will definitely do that and more. I think you will like it.

One more thing it comes in Left or Right handed versions. Straight on also
I didn't know that, I'll check them out.
Whats the difference?
Make one for the Ws6 master. 😃
Hopefully they are reading the comments.

Definitely no button covered up, using one now and no hinderance accessing the buttons.
Do they make one for lefties??
Yes
Go Rocky GO !!!
Go!
They need to make one for the WS6 puck
I have done one for the ws6 my owen design scratch build
i,m from Portugal, Oporto, hehehehe yours fan
Welcome!
Have an alcheapo that can't get wet...maybe when i can finally retire (never with this economy) I'll have more time.
I hope so too. 🙏
Mind boggling why XP designed it so it can fall off in the first place.
First
Just ordered one - thanks!
