I'll keep this short. I own .45 and 9 XDS.. Because of this video I purchased the XDM .45 5.25 competition series. You were right I'VE NEVER SHOT ANYTHING AO ACCURATE. Thanks for the info. I give you all the credit, you were dead on with your review. Wish I could show you the first groups. Outstanding!!!!!

I love your videos because I can tell you have passion for guns and express it in your videos, not that you give us a shit load of non-usable information. Thank you and dont stop putting out videos

I just picked up a XDM .45 4.5 with the same package you have. SA stopped production of the kit two or three years ago. I found a NIB or New Old Stock on Gun Broker. I love it. I also really like the magazine pouch and holster and I use it all the time for EDC. Yes that full size pistol isn't that difficult to conceal.

Good no BS review. I have the 9mm model XDm in 5.25 and I put an after market trigger and it made a big difference. I am gonna get 2 more in the 9mm - 3.8 to leave around the house and I might get the 45 in 5.25 for shits and grins. One thing... I recommend the Crimson Trace Lightguard™ for home defense and to carry in the truck. It works great with the XDm series.

There are 10 round mags that will work with the XDM. The reason we can't get this pistol in Califonria is because its not on the DOJ approved list. All Gen 4 glocks are also a no go in Califonria. We can have all the Gen 3's wee want. Its stupid but its the situation we are currently dealing with.

Gonna be hard to make that choice. But you can shoot major with the 45 and that gains you some point scoring advantage for sure.

You're right that Glock "evolved" with the Gen4 but so did the XD. The XDm is an improved version of the Croatian HS2000. Every system can be improved upon. With that said I have a G19 Gen 3 & a G19 Gen4 and have no issues sticking with the Gen3. It should also be noted that if I needed a .45 it would be an XD/XDm because of the much smaller circumference of the grip. The Glock 21 (my first handgun ever) was a chunky bitch. Good shooting and good luck with the job search!!!

You cant go wrong with either one, they are both great guns in great calibers. I would say that is always cheaper to shoot 9mm that 45 acp. I think I might end up having both though.

Also send it to Bill Springfield, he does great trigger jobs on XD's.

  • @GeorgiaShootersGroup

But if you dont reload 45 is a lot more expensive to shoot. 45 is much smoother but only 13+1 rounds. The 9 is a SWEET 19+1 and you can really shoot some competition with it. One thing that is a disappointment is the stock 7lbs trigger, but dropping the $125 powder valley trigger kit in there fixes that problem. By the way his hammer/striker is not down.

recoil is not bad, no worse than any other large frame .45

Do you know, or could measure the length of the barrel to the base of the cartridge casing with one in the barrel? I checked the measurement of my Walther P99, which claims to have a 4" barrel, but the lenth is actually 4 1/4" with a cartridge in it... obviously stripping it down to measure. Reason I ask is that I'm very interested in picking this up for deer hunting, and Wisconsin requires a length of 5 1/2" from barrel end to firing pin. Of course I'd use it for recreation & CC too. :)

Men use speed loaders too bud, it doesn't make you less of a man. When we go shooting we shoot several hundred rounds, you can't tell me that your hands won't get tired after the first couple of hundred. Not talking smack, just letting you know that it's alright for everyone to use a speedloader.

I guess its the natural progression of things to evolve, but when glock evolved they totally fucked up their reliability rep with the new changes.I have XDs and XDMs and they have never had a failure of any kind, but i can say the same about my gen 3 glocks
