BDRX is only a case study in the context of a ridiculously slow and choppy week. It really wasnt that clean and made 90% of the 130% move in two candles
@@darekm6859 ya... this is really experienced-trader type stuff in this terrible market right now. big fan of ross but trying to trade his strategy in this market is asking for trouble. i know from experience lol.. a 3 cent move on a garbage stock? really? this is why i'm looking into futures lol
@@darekm6859from what I’ve seen, and assuming Ross is legitimately profitable, I believe he uses the strategies he teaches but will also use a combination of instinct/intuition/“feeling” and luck that he doesn’t quite explain in his teachings. For example, penny stocks like this one. Kind of like how certain athletes might go against principles in form and technique when it works for them. But idk. This is just a guess.
Long-time watcher/subscriber/thumb-upper, (possibly) first time commenter... Just a note to say that I really appreciate how much knowledge you share in your videos. I'm one year into day trading, and my red-green ratio is almost reverse of yours, but showing signs of improvement and haven't given up yet. You offer *so much* important guidance, and I wish I was able to take it all in and apply it from the start, but sometimes you need experience in order to really grasp the wisdom being offered. I am hoping to join pro level soon. I unfortunately hit a snag last week and am healing up so I am able to get back to the daily tasks.
Started my account with about $1,400 a week ago and now up almost $500 with just a cash account. My strategy is success by small wins. Cant thank you enough for all the valuable information you put out there. My next leap is to buy your courses. Have to spend money to make money.
People don't understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments don't match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

What's the best platform for trading? Trading on robinhood which only has 5 min candles. I am doing ok but is there a better platform that has 1 min candles.

I was able to catch SFWL at about 8:35 am MST make a great move upwards using all the indicators taught by Ross. Also use the same scanner. Thanks man ! Your teachings truly work with patience and trusting the indicators. I finding to be patient and wait around 8:30-11:30 am MST to trade these high volume and high volitilty stocks . I let all the beginning static settle. Thanks again for your teachings . Keep it going please !

This week sucked BIG TIME but at least I got a successful red day today. Anyways, back to the audiobook... thanks for uploading it Ross.
I only played two stocks today. They were FRGT at 734am, and BDRX at 832am, the latter was entered at 1.188 a share. It was really choppy and exited at 1.2334 a share.
Not much money was made, but, all the trades were positive. After those two dismal results I waited to see if any opportunities would happen on the open. At that point I had FRGT, BRDX, BOF and TVGN up on the screen. Nothing gave me any certainty, so nothing was traded on the open (FRGT had been beaten up, and did briefly offer a 20 cent swing on open, but it was not rising with much authority).
I felt good just getting out with my skin today.

BDRX... made $1.20 lol up down up down, just got out and i was right with that move. Just not moving very well on anything I looked at. Risking a lot for only a few % gain. Maybe next week.

Thanks Ross, It was no trade day for me, I am strictly following your teachings, it was just very slow day today.
Once again generous content! The three steps you describe in this case study will inform my trade decisions from now on, I kind of figured them out for myself but now you have validated this approach. In this horrible red week I made a few rookie mistakes like a wrong sell limit on NVidia and too much optimism on a particular stock similar to BDRX. I am now holding $250 of a rubbish stock that peaked and then dipped incredibly fast and incredibly deep, but having come to terms that this money is gone, I might as well hold on to it as my own 'case study' and watch it disappear from the listing or experience an unlikely turn-around in the course of, say, six months.

i just started trading monday on a sim account after studying for a month and the only thing i can say is I am good at cutting losses -500$ on 50k over the week with 4 red days and 2k shares on every trade. i dont even know if its good or not but would you suggest to always buy the ask and sell the bid on a sim to try to simulate as much slippage as possible for a sim?
I made 2 10 share trades that were 1 and 5 dollar profits. I made a bad decision and upped my shares to 50, had 5 dollars profit, held to long and lost 5 dollars, I then tried to trade baf, held it while I was up 7 and it immediately had that first giant rejection and lost 15 bucks. Ended down 15 because I prematurely increased share size and held on too long. Learned my lesson to not hold on too long while I’m still learning.
Hi Ross, I regularly watch your videos, and like your informative content on day trading. I didn't understand one thing, as you mentioned the news at9:56am ET, but you took the trade before this news, because after 9:56am the stock never goes above $1.35, so I got confused when you sold it near $1.69 or somewhere around it. May be I missed something, please clarify. I will appreciate your response. Blessings

We used to see very light volume pre-market and trading only began in earnest at 9:30, now trading begins as soon as news comes out.

My first loss in the last two weeks. BDRX screwed me because I got in too late $1.6/share and I forgot to set me stop loss.
Went to the rest room and came back to find it had taken a nosedive and I was down almost $300 at the snap of my fingers.
I couldn't stomach that....just held onto it. It's gone back up a little bit...but I'm hoping it can go higher overnight or Monday morning so I can get out with a much smaller loss than that.
yep, that drop at the open killed me. i don't think i'm going to hold thru the open anymore. too risky!
@@ellenmathias67 When it is up so much on pre market i get scared on open because i figure people who have been holding long will see it's way up and want to sell.
Holding is usually not a winning move. You can sometimes get away with it with a frequent flyer like HOLO, but even that is a great risk. It is super risky with stocks that are valued near 1 dollar. The company may decide to do ANOTHER reverse split, and any chance of recouping your loss will be nearly zero at that point.

That's very interesting: You don't want to be the first person to act on the news - it hasn't moved yet. Even if you correctly recognized the news was good - until a large group also decides it's good news - it won't do you any good...

@@addertooth1 Still, that insane volatility does allow to make a few bucks on a very modest investment, but timing is everything, the ten seconds it takes to sell could be 9 seconds too late. I still think for me as a beginner penny stocks is where the money is even though the risks are plenty
