      Hello! I try to understand everything but I do have 1 question. I see this video that says breakout or bailout and other ones with the pullback (your favorite pattern) however as I was analyzing everything I was seeing videos with yoru average trade duration and was 3 minutes recently and back on the 500$ challenge was near 6 minutes! Which is insane numbers. So, my question is, we get in at let's say 5,80$ if it doesnt immediately go to 5,90 6 6,10 6,50 and it goes 5,75 5,80 5,85 5,90 5,77 5,73 5,80 do we still wait all of these 3 minutes or we get out? Which is the immediate for you? This is what I dont get . Cause there is danger that it flashes to 5,50 or 5,40 in a matter of millie seconds and waiting 3 minutes may be risky but also give it the time it needs to move up and we dont get it executed and get the L. Sorry for the long message but this is crucial for me. Please take a moment to answer. Thank you

    Ross, I wish you'd teach folks too that all they have to do is make 10% on the account a week for 36 weeks, and they'd get to the 25k mark without having to risk so much starting out in taking leverage. New folks have zero business using leverage. Slow and steady really does work.

    • @twinblade63

      I love his way of teaching concepts but I agree that the missing pieces are only available on warrior trading and becoming a member. Which I don't fault Ross on any of that, day trading is probably making him good money but his warrior trading platform probably is that kind of income that is way less stressful. If I had a genie in a bottle I'd make it way more affordable since 99% of the folks watching these videos are beginners with small amounts to put into the market...which inevitably means his classes and access to his tracker are way too much for us. Only real way for most of us is to figure out the missing pieces until we can get consistent gains and by that time we don't see the value since we figured it out (at least figured out a way that works for use individually). And don't even get me started on the fact 99% of us will fail anyway as the market is designed to take our money.

      Entry on Day Open price line on TradingView, pre-order for entry, do 20-30 pips a day. Instead of StopLoss placed (StopHunts prevention) just place opposite direction pre-order and keep it there as a risk prevention against news adverse moves. Zero risk in this case. In this case consistency is the king though. If you have no idea on position size, then do the challenge, 30% a day, where you start with £20 at 0.26Lot size increasing every morning by 30% the lot size. Choppy markets are Banks’ algos placing big orders in sequences, no point staying there, wait for another day.

    Failed my first go at CMEG this year. Funding again Friday and giving it a better shot. CMEG won't give you leverage if your account goes under $500. I started CMEG with $534, so the 1st week of March went okay, and I was up $4 before commissions, but went under $500 after commissions. So that made week 2 very difficult, and I compounded that by holding two losers. So account is at $348 until funded. Going to fund the account to $800 or so, to give myself room to stop out a lot without dropping under leverage requirements. Thanks for the guidance Ross 😊

    • @juwilball
      @juwilball Місяць тому +5

      Im pretty sure this challenge isnt recent, i tried CMEG this year and they changed. The fills are terrible and you get partial fills. Plus if you look at the calendar, none of the dates match any recent months. Also you can only use leverage on certain stocks. So the stocks hes showing wouldnt qualify for leverage. This small account challenge is old.

    • @Matthansmail
      @Matthansmail Місяць тому +3

      @juwilball no, this is a new one. If you match the dates on the calendar he shows with the stocks he traded, it's all recent. He was doing an episode every week for a while if you go back, and we were trading the same stuff on the same days.

      @Matthansmail it's not, he started that challenge in January and he had a few red days, this one he doesn't have a red day until the 31st. If you look at the calendar, it matches up from January of 2023. I'm pretty sure he stopped it cuz of the partial fills he was getting and the slippage.

    Have a strategy. Have a loss per trade and max loss per day. Look for trades you can get in and out quickly but don't be afraid of letting the trade develope if you get in one that's taking time to flush out. Pick stocks that you're familiar with. It's about duplicating your trades day in and out. Stick to your process, consistency is key.

    Ross, could you do a video on controlling your emotions? I've been in a simulator for 6 months. The past 3 have been green. Recently, I got in a sim trade that would have been almost 9k in profit. That would've been about 10 weeks' worth of pay at my full-time job, and i was thinking if that was real, could i have kept my emotions in check

    Have often looked at getting into day trading. The aspect and processes always fascinate me. However, I understand I currently trade emotionally so going to read those books you recommended!
    Believe it is highly important to point out what you said towards the end. You mentioned you're a Jack of all trades, but a master of none. Though the quote actually continues to say "But often times better than a master of one" it doesn't apply to this process. You NEED to create a system that specializes in one, maybe two, things. Like you said be a master of something for day trading.

    • @JonRichie294
      @JonRichie294 6 днів тому

      Hopefully I’m answering your question but basically margin accounts are accounts that can borrow money from that brokerage company/website. The 6x leverage means that he can use his $600 plus the borrowed 6x$600 to then use $4200 into the trade. This $4200 is known as “buying power” and so that 10% he may make would originally go from $60 (from his original $600) to $420 (from his new $4200 buying power). He said this is risky for good reason because I would never attempt this unless I’m some kind of expert. It’s risky because if you lose more than your original $600 in a trade, than you have to owe that extra money back to that brokerage as debt. This seems like a pretty likely situation if you fail to preform your strategy right because you can lose $420 with only -10% on a trade. I’m not an expert so you should delve deeper into this topic before trading. Hope this helps!

    Ross, awesome video, found it really helpful as a beginner trader. I’ve heard some traders talk about a “shot clock” for their trades concerning the amount of time they expect it to take if it works. What is your time frame before you bail out of these kinds of setups?

I cannot tell you hands down how many trades I can happily enter every position with little to no uncertainty or cold feet.

    Hey Ross,
    I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the invaluable analyses and insights you've been sharing. I've been diving deep into your videos lately, and they've been incredibly helpful in shaping my understanding of the market.
    On a personal note, I recently dipped my toes into the world of trading by opening my first account. It's been quite the learning curve, to say the least! I'm navigating through the ups and downs, but it's been an exciting journey nonetheless.
    One thing I've noticed is that while I'm getting better at setting stop-loss levels, I'm finding it a bit tricky to determine the right take-profit points. For instance, when a stock is already up 20% in a day, I often struggle with deciding whether to cash in at 25% for a modest gain or to let it ride, adjusting my stop-loss and take-profit levels as the market evolves.
    I'd love to hear your thoughts on this dilemma. Your expertise would undoubtedly shed some light on this aspect of trading for me.
    Thanks again for all you do, Ross. Looking forward to your insights!

      As a general concept take the profits if you’re unsure/have lost conviction the stock will continue moving in said direction.
      This is where you’ll need your own strategy but if you have multiple contracts sometimes you can trim a couple of them and keep the other couple.
      But remember it’s not profit until it’s sold, it’s also not a loss until it’s sold.
      Best of luck =)

    Does your book also explains about the needed tools? For example, I believe you will not find a tool that scans the market for top gainers for free (unless if a broker has such an option), or do you explain when do you start scanning the market?
    In other words - will the book explain from zero how to become a daily trader?

    couple questions. sorry if I sound stupid but I'm a noob. Don't most brokers make you have at least 25000 in an account in order to day trade? Also. If I put 600 dollars in a brokerage account and put it all one one stock. and the stock tanks. how do I know how much I lost or, If I do nothing can I make what I lost back if the stock gains? thanks for the help.
