Korean here. The right two keys replaced from CTRL and ALT are not the Korean labeling of the same keys. The 한/영 button (the left button on the right side) is to change between Korean characters and English characters, and the right one is if you want to type Chinese characters, which Koreans use occasionally. However, the keyboard layout is the same, unlike Japanese or Spanish keyboards.

(it's awkward to write the word "available" in Korean language which means "can" "be able to") "한국인 전용" can be nice. technically it means Korean people who has nationality and speaking Korean language, but sometimes, like this situation in internet, can include just who live in Korea who is not actually Korean people.
I would say 한국 한정? (only in Korea?) or 국내 한정? (domestic only?) would have been nice and succinct. If you wanted to emphasize that it's only sold in Korea, something like 한국 한정 판매? (Only sold in Korea?) would work too.
both 한/영 key and 한자 key are standard feature on Korean Keyboard layout. Those are not specific to LG. 한/영 key on the right is in fact Kor/Eng switch button which is different from Win + Space combination switching. Korean keyboard layout supports secondary input language(usually English) within itself which can be toggled with right Alt key. 한자 key, will act as Ctrl when no other keyboard layout is found, but when you have Korean keyboard layout, it will show you list of phonetically matching Chinese charactors. It can also be used to invoke symbol list window too. Each key is mapped normally as Alt and Ctrl respectively in English only environment, so it basically has exact same keyboard layout to the one you would find in US version(it they were to make one for US market).

수박 겉 핥기 literally means "Licking the watermelon surface" which roughly means "Scratching the surface". It's not all bad in Korea here, phones in used market is dirt cheap and there is no sim lock. Got a used S7 for less than $100 a month ago, and I'm using a 20gig LTE plan for $15/month with blazing fast connection. Sad that I'm moving to Japan a few months later, with regards to that.
Incase anyone was curious, the two keys to the right of the space bar [한/영] & [한자] are designed specifically for Korean users, and are standard within the Korean keyboard layout. The first key is used to quickly switch between Hangul (Korean alphabet) and the English Alphabet, whereas the second key is used for converting Korean Hangul to Chinese characters. This one isn't used very often by the average user due to 99% of everyday life Korean being written in Hangul.

I think another excuse for their high price could be due to their wide repair/service center availability. In Korea, you can literally take a 15~20 minute car ride to go to one of their centers and they usually fix them right there on spot without delays or any inconvenience. Many people buy Samsung and LG branded gadgets knowing that they're more expensive than Chinese made ones for this very reason.
True but low competition with Korean companies having a huge advantage over here leads to shittier products at higher prices. But we don't really have a lot of choices in the end. You kinda cannot not buy an LG or Samsung product here which is my biggest gripe living here.
Well. In my opinion that's not entirely true. Maybe it was several years ago but that's not really true now. I'm sure import tax plays a role in lower market share of foreign made goods but I think there's more to it because you can easily buy foreign products online. For instance, if you want a cheap gaming laptop, just go to danawa or enuri and you'll see that it's flooded with products from Gigabyte, Asus, Lenovo, etc. These companies really lack service centers in Korea and as a result, a lot of offline shopping centers don't offer these products and people, especially non-tech enthusiast, tend to avoid them.

It's just a hassle to get on compared to ure average Samsung laptop, still have to pay an extra premium due to taxes, and it's an extra hassle to get repairs or help when something goes wrong. Yes an enthusiast might still get them but my point is on the average consumer and most won't even know half those companies exist. Most Koreans probably doesn't even know about the pixel phone, or any phone besides Samsung, LG, and Apple. Although it is possible, for most people, even tho they do have a choice, they kinda don't. Finnish person here: The "life's good" slogan has been used in Europe too, at least with TV's and such products for sure. Not sure are they actively using the slogan still right now, but at least in some LG products, in some parts of Europe, it has also been used as well as in Korea. But I would not think they used the slogan with smart products like phones or Laptops outside korea.

both 한/영 key and 한자 key are standard feature on Korean Keyboard layout. Those are not specific to LG. 한/영 key on the right is in fact Kor/Eng switch button which is different from Win + Space combination switching. Korean keyboard layout supports secondary input language(usually English) within itself which can be toggled with right Alt key. 한자 key, will act as Ctrl when no other keyboard layout is found, but when you have Korean keyboard layout, it will show you list of phonetically matching Chinese charactors. It can also be used to invoke symbol list window too. Each key is mapped normally as Alt and Ctrl respectively in English only environment, so it basically has exact same keyboard layout to the one you would find in US version(it they were to make one for US market).

Incase anyone was curious, the two keys to the right of the space bar [한/영] & [한자] are designed specifically for Korean users, and are standard within the Korean keyboard layout. The first key is used to quickly switch between Hangul (Korean alphabet) and the English Alphabet, whereas the second key is used for converting Korean Hangul to Chinese characters. This one isn't used very often by the average user due to 99% of everyday life Korean being written in Hangul.

I'm guessing they changed their name from Goldstar to LG for the same reason Datson changed their name to Nissan. Goldstar was unloading some really cheaply made products in North America and Europe in the 1980s and 1990s.

I think another excuse for their high price could be due to their wide repair/service center availability. In Korea, you can literally take a 15~20 minute car ride to go to one of their centers and they usually fix them right there on spot without delays or any inconvenience. Many people buy Samsung and LG branded gadgets knowing that they're more expensive than Chinese made ones for this very reason.

True but low competition with Korean companies having a huge advantage over here leads to shittier products at higher prices. But we don't really have a lot of choices in the end. You kinda cannot not buy an LG or Samsung product here which is my biggest gripe living here.
Well. In my opinion that's not entirely true. Maybe it was several years ago but that's not really true now. I'm sure import tax plays a role in lower market share of foreign made goods but I think there's more to it because you can easily buy foreign products online. For instance, if you want a cheap gaming laptop, just go to danawa or enuri and you'll see that it's flooded with products from Gigabyte, Asus, Lenovo, etc. These companies really lack service centers in Korea and as a result, a lot of offline shopping centers don't offer these products and people, especially non-tech enthusiast, tend to avoid them.

Ah ah ahk yes nothing is truly impossible to but these days just like how Linus bought that laptop in the video. It's just a hassle to get on compared to ure average Samsung laptop, still have to pay an extra premium due to taxes, and it's an extra hassle to get repairs or help when something goes wrong. Yes an enthusiast might still get them but my point is on the average consumer and most won't even know half those companies exist. Most Koreans probably doesn't even know about the pixel phone, or any phone besides Samsung, LG, and Apple. Although it is possible, for most people, even tho they do have a choice, they kinda don't. From a business point of view, the consumer just ends up paying higher prices for shittier products. That's pretty shitty imo especially in the 21st century

Keeves is right. The brand used to be called Goldstar and ended up having a bad reputation for making low quality, cheap products. They then revamped there products and quality and renamed themselves Lucky Goldstar.
Lucky and Goldstar are the two companies that merged to make Lucky-Goldstar (LG). Their slogan is Life's Good, and Korean people mostly know English so they don't need a Korean one lol

The "life's good" slogan has been used in Europe too, at least with TV's and such products for sure. Not sure are they actively using the slogan still right now, but at least in some LG products, in some parts of Europe, it has also been used as well as in Korea. But I would not think they used the slogan with smart products like phones or Laptops outside korea.
