Your criticisms about Fashion Dreamer are extremely valid, like 10000%. But I also have been playing it pretty much every day too. It has seemed to be polarizing in reviews primarily due to lack of story or goals, but if you take the game for what it is, a dress up simulator, it can be really fun. The most important thing is to go into it knowing what it is and being willing to set your own goals, like creating themed outfits or cosplays. The price is fine to me, though I do understand if some people think it’s too steep.
@@Eeownai defo agree with this. Im super addicted to the game and love it! but the main problem is that it feels somewhat unfinished esp when considering all the other stuff they plan to add in updates. And as theyre really pushing the online features they need to include more interactive gameplay between the player characters. But yes, looking forward to the updates!
I still feel like it's very "asian" in its whole style: everyone is skinny and pale. And instead of making actual black characters, they just give them dark skin and call it a day without acknowledging their different facial features and hair. And lets not even talk about OTHER ethnicities. The Sims 4 showed that its not hard to have clothes that adjust to diverse bodies so all this actually is, is laziness and we all have to decide for ourselves if we wanna support that or not.
@OnionTheBat From playing the game aren't the facial features chosen by the player? Or are you referring to the facial features available not having enough diversity?
@@OnionTheBatWell I mean it is a japanese made game with mainly Asian players. in my experience playing it since launch I've only seen a handful of English players, and I have everything unlocked. While it is bad that's just how dress up games are, it shouldn't be that way but it is. Also Sims 4 is a vastly different game and it took them 8 YEARS to add non splotchy dark skin tones, and make up on darker black sims still has issues even now, so possibly the worst example you could have picked. Also fashion dreamer does have textured hair, it actually has about the same amount as the non textured hair (at least on the fem side, idk about masc) While facial features aren't 100% accurate it's an anime style game, art isn't going to be 100% 1-1 with real life
Agree with you 1000% on Pikmin 4. I played it twice I enjoyed it so much. I had reservations, as I was worried about how I'd handle losing Pikmin, but Oatchi made 'crowd control' a breeze. Loved every second of it. It looked so pretty and it was challenging enough without being stressful. The dialogue was fun and it was just so cute! - it's Game of the Year for me!
I know I'm late to the game but I'm so happy I gave Moonlighter a try! I bought it for less than $3 USD with my nintendo points and it's a fabulous mix of classic Zelda (dungeon-crawling) and shop keeping sim!
A cozy, hilarious RPG that isn't too overwhelming to jump into that I love to recommend is West of Loathing and it's follow up Shadows of Loathing. The writing is amazing and it's super fun the play. The art style doesn't look like much, but it grows on you since it fits the vibe so well.
I have spent over 100 hours in My Time at Sandrock (full release on PC), and I am absolutely in love with it! And I'm not done yet. It took many things from the previous game (My Time at Portia) and made it even better, and Portia is one of my favorite games. I can agree that the opening is a bit slow, but once you get going, it's almost impossible to stop. These games are great at making you feel part of a community, and that the work you do make a difference for the characters living there. I recommend it with all my heart
i’m scared to play it on switch. I bought it for the switch but now I’m not so sure if I should play it on there if I can’t do any of the romance, quest or anything
Yep! I had 400 hours even before the full launch! It truly is my time at portia made better. The story and the caracters are so funny !! The only thing that was weird for me was the Elsie storyline, but I just ignore it.
Regarding fashion dreamer, I can't believe that a game that costs this much only has one single body type. I'm playing a mobile fashion game that's free, and in the character creation there are so many options. You can create any body type you want, both horizontically and vertically, plus the same amount of variety in skin tones and face customization.
Okay, I've been playing My Time at Sandrock on Switch (obsessed with it!) and I don't find it blurry at all! (if you find this blurry then don't play Yonder, Outer Worlds or Grow Song of the Evertree - cut scenes were so blurry! on Switch) It was never going to perform as well as the pc version and the content will be behind as the pc version is going to be prioritized, but at least it runs better than Portia. I've had some issues yes (I've learned to save before doing anything at the museum - 3 crashes there) but overall it is a good fun game (even with the invisible stairs I found in town)
Menu items are little blurry but not so much that you can't make out what the item is (the descriptions at least are nice, sharp and easy to read) I'm playing it in handheld mode (very rarely do I play docked) so that might be way I really don't care that much about some blurring or have a different experience. Is the pc version finished yet? I haven't been following the development of Sandrock at all. As long as the full story is on consoles (not sure if it is or not) then I'm going to be one happy woman (if not I'd just go back to Rune Factory 3 and wait on it) @@Eeowna
I'm so happy to see someone say this! I'm waiting for my copy from Amazon. I ordered the Switch version because I play handheld primarily. Everyone saying don't buy it on Switch has been very concerning. I've had a blast with Portia on Switch though, so maybe I just don't have high standards. 😂😂😂 Truly though, I've only had one bug on Portia that bothered me....I restarted the day and everything was fine. I understand people wanting the better graphics, but I can trade that off to be able to play handheld.
No worries. I feel like my standards aren't as high as well, as long as a game runs smoothly enough I'm happy. I've only had two or so bugs playing Portia (one I just waited to pass out and the other was a quest that I just reloaded the day and didn't do that quest - it apparently was glitched or something) The graphics look fine to be. I prefer handheld (probably because I grew up playing handhelds) and would have preferred a physical copy but couldn't find one that wasn't over $100 Australian@@patriciagoss1809
I'm just starting Sandrock on the switch and I'm struggling with the controls and menus. I've watched hours of gameplay and love the game. For now I'm going to concentrate on getting the controls and game functions figured out. I think it might be a "me" problem because I like simple controls and changing perspectives always messes me up.
I bought my time at sandrock and I'm obsessed with it. Totally agree with the slow beginning and trying to figure out the mechanics. Alot of stuff I had to Google to understand it but I got it now. Also idk why but I'm so surprised to see Star Ocean, I remember playing it on the game boy like 20 years ago, good to see it's still going
I just started Star Ocean the Second Story R, and I’m really enjoying it, but I’m finding the map a little difficult to navigate. I’m looking for Krosse Cave.
I was so ready to defend My Time at Sandrock but yeah I get it, I wasn't able to finish the previous game (My Time at Portia) because I played it on Switch and it was just so bad even with patches. I have over 100 hours in Sandrock from early access and I started a fresh run on release and I can agree it is a bit slow but omg the writing alone of this game is so worth it, it is witty and so interesting and you can tell how much thought and effort went into making it. This game is legit addicting, anytime a story update came out I would play not stop just to know what was happening next which I feel is so rare to find in a game. Cannot recommend enough but definity not for switch.
There’s nothing wrong with Sandrock on switch. The only difference between it and PC is some downgraded graphics and some pop in. Though I don’t buy games on PC for high graphics
I was so excited for Fashion Dreamer, and I do enjoy it on the surface, however I miss having the option to do people's hair and make-up, and have them outright trash your design in Style Boutique. I also miss handbags, and feel the accessories are lacking - I'd love to give some jewellery! Lastly, the show rooms are very 'meh'; not much room to move Around in, you should be able to upgrade them. I've taken a step back from it after playing it non stop on release, however I will still go back to it and I'm hopeful to see what extra content they add! 😊
If you like Dave the Diver - you would love Cuisineer, its a new restaurant management game with a roguelite aspect when going into dungeons to get ingredients! You'd absolutely love it.
I’m personally still absolutely OBSESSED with BG3 and have been for about 2 months now! I can honestly say it’s one of the best if not THE best game I’ve ever played. And I also do find it cozy due to the vibe, soundtrack, narrator and especially the non-stressful turn based combat system.
@@amytheshihtzumomI was in the same position! If you're keen on BG3 but don't have a system to play it on I really recommend Divinity: Original Sin 2 on the Switch. It's the game that Larian studios made before BG3, and the writing, characters and voice acting are exceptional. I bought it thinking it would keep me busy until I could finally play BG3, and that was about 200 hours of game play ago 😂
@@amytheshihtzumom I hope you eventually will. I actually build myself a new PC (first time building one) because I wanted to play so badly and my old one was 10yo and it was 100% worth it!
Only had a switch and decided that Sandrock was the last game to push me to get an Xbox series x. It runs great on there! Heard Portia had issues on switch so there we go. Worth it! Now I can play Hogwarts Legacy too!
It is pretty rare that I buy upon launch but every time i break that rule I get bit in the butt. I was so excited for Spells and Secrets. But I have been so frustrated with this game on my switch. That said, I also bought Spirittea yesterday, and i am loving that one so far.
Girl, I absolutely love your videos and the content you create, so so joyful to listen to you, and you look fab btw…so keep shining and continue to release more videos, greetings from Ireland 🫶🌈🍀
Love having these videos playing while I do tasks at home or get ready in the morning/for bed. Very informative! Have found several games I’ve loved through you ❤ But I really have to ask! What are you wearing on your lips here? Gorgeous color, looks amazing on you!
My time at sandrock has the best storage system in any game I have ever played. I can’t say I agree with you on it being annoying, it auto sorts for you. Your crafting table, your machines, and the big work station all pulls from your storage, it know exactly what you want and how much you want of it. You can complete quest and commissions with items straight from your storage, you don’t have to have them on you, same with turning in relics to the museum. I’m not sure how it can be annoying when the Qol is so amazing. You can lvl up and unlock free PAGES of inventory slots or just buy them one slot at a time. I hope your comment about it being annoying doesn’t turn people away from the game because it’s honestly the best, especially in this type of gaming, forgetting to take something with you when completing a commission is not even a worry.
so I got the DLC at the start... so it was a NIGHMARE LMAOO I spent hours trying to clear up enough space - and I think games where things like clothing weren't kept in chests were better imo, like for example being able to actually use the wardrobe in the house to change clothes. Like yes the chests sort stuff, but when an outfit has 4 peices and 3 different colours, that's 12 sperate slots ahaha I think I said MORE than enough good things about the game to say one thing I think that I would change haha
This is all seriously spot on! Dave the Diver is really well done and I'm loving Mario Wonder. Honestly My Time in Portia had the same exact issues as My Time in Sandrock with finicky controls on switch. Even without the quality or content issues, the controls alone were horrendous - I ended up returning Portia. However, a couple years later I impulsively bought it on my phone before a flight and it worked surprisingly well on mobile, and I had a lot of fun with it.
I wouldn't recommend My Time at Sandrock on the PC either if your PC isn't up to standard. My PC did meet the minimum requirements, but OMG it's SOOOO slow now. I physically can't play it anymore. I also heard that the PS version of this game isn't doing better either. It's heartbreaking because I enjoy the chars, story, and other things, but yeah at the end of the day Gameplay will always reign supreme. I do want to get Fashion Dreamer. Now I am plus size myself, and I never go into games expecting a char to look like me when it comes to my figure. In fact, I don't ever try to make an OC look like me all too much because I am just use to it. It's like the Barbie situation all over again where people complain about how unrealistic she is in the figure department. Because here's how I see it- "it's all pretend". It's not reality, so it doesn't matter. I only worry about something that is real, like I get annoyed when I see designer labels not cater to someone my size when "Plus size" in the fashion industry is normal in reality. Not every women is a Size 2 oi. Anyway, that's my personal opinion. But yeah I can see why you would have issues with it. Cool video though. I think Wonder looks amazing, but I've played so many side-scrolling platformers in my life that I think I've played enough of them and prefer 3D platformers (if I get any platformers at all). Of course it does depend on the game too. Like Spiritfarer has platforming and it's 2D. But it's so unique, I ended up loving it.
Tried the Silent Hope demo a few days ago and instantly fell in love, definitely gonna get the full game soon. The princess never shutting up makes it perfect as a game I play on mute while watching a show 😂. Thanks for the heads up about Spells & Secrets as well. It looked like a fun alternative to _the other wizard game_ though probably gonna wait for it to be patched. Unfortunately my PC isn’t the best so gonna get Sandrock physical just in case. Can return it easily if I don’t enjoy it
Have you tried Spirittea yet? It just came out yesterday so I’m not surprised if you haven’t, but it’s a cute little indie game I find very charming. I haven’t gotten far into it at all so I really hope it lives up to expectations. But it’s really not expensive (compared to games coming out that are in the 50 to 70 dollar range, anyway) so I’m already not really stressed about it not being “good enough” to be honest. It’s not much more money than Stardew valley, granted I know that game has a tooooon of content.
Thank you for your videos!! I stumbled across your channel looking for cozy games as since my baby was born I have zero time to play aside from brief spurts here and there. I am loving all your suggestions and enjoying gaming again!! Looking forward to more videos!! ❤
The game I cannot put down at the moment is Dragon Quest 11, I’ve got about 80+ hours in it right now! Its not my usual cosy game, but I have discovered I love turn based combat.
As a dress-up sim, Fashion Dreamer has been a lot of fun especially as a working mom with like little to no free time. I don’t understand why people want stories and stuff in what is blatantly a dress-up game, but I’ve been playing it religiously for a week straight and it’s been very addicting. I actually stopped playing Dave the Diver because the immediate feedback of walking from NPC to NPC and Player to Player and getting various points and items from meeting their goals was like giving candy to my worn out self.
I agree. I love that I can pick up fashion dreamer no matter how much time I have, and also just shut my brain off and play dress up. No story to remember or keep up with and no consequences for designing how I want!
Good content. I'll note that Spells & Secrets was patched yesterday. Here are the notes: The game dashboard icon is fixed The cursor glitch is gone The tutorial cutscene video doesn’t stutter anymore Some visuals restored Loadings are a little faster Local coop blocker is gone Local coop buttons and icons are fixed Revive feature is fixed Rescued schoolmates are now appearing in the hub Z Fight is gone from boss areas Sporadic game blocker occurences are fixed
I appreciate the honesty about Fashion Dreamer. Will wait for the updates. And very much agree about Spells and Secrets, it’s choppy and certainly needs a patch to be playable
Thank you for putting Dave the Diver on my radar. I saw your vid where you ranked some recently played games and because of your rating for DtD, I looked it up. Ended up buying it, and staying up WAY TOO LATE last night playing! Thank you! Money well spent!
Star Ocean 2 is the game of the year for me, it's simply amazing. I never played a Star Ocean game before and I didn't know what I was doing at the start either, but it slowly grew on me and then I played through it twice directly in a row, which practically never happen for me :D
I have about 110 hours in My Time At Sandrock on the PC and I LOVE it. They made so many quality of life updates from what we saw in Portia and I think it's much better than Portia. Once you get going on Sandrock, it's so hard to put down (and I'm playing BG3 at the same time lol). Buuuut I wouldn't buy it for the switch either haha. I thought about getting it on the switch but mine struggled with Portia and I knew it was a no-go for Sandrock on the switch LOL. But on the PC it is AMAZING! I love it so much from the story, characters, romance, etc. 😆 I can't wait to hear your thought about the story! There were some parts that SHOCKED me. ❤️
My Time at Sandrock dose not look that different from how My Time at Portia looked on the switch. I am waiting to get it for my switch till Christmas as by then it should be better patched I hope.
I've been really enjoying playing dave the diver since it came out on switch. It has really grown on me and honestly became one of my favorite games of all time!
Just because I do a farming sim ranking vid doesn’t mean I only play farming sims 😂 you just need to look at my fav switch games list to see how many genres I enjoy
@@Eeowna I believe you. After I played my first farming game. I said to myself this is stressful. One of my farm animals became sick. I didn't have enough money to buy medicine for it. The person that sold me the chicken ended up taking it back. It cost 2,000 to get the chicken. The medicine alone costs 1,600. I said to myself that farming games are not for me.
I'm so sad Sandrock is how it is on Switch. I see the DLC is on Switch now, though, and pretty much the same price as on Steam. I really want to play it on Switch more, just because I can see my sinking a lot of time into it that my wrists can't really handle on Deck but with so much missing still ugh I've been on the fence with Dave the Diver, as I'm just not huge on rogue lites right now but, there's so much going on I might have to at least try out the demo afterall. Fashion Dreamer is so addictive, I definitely don't regret buying it. It's so perfect to just lose time in. I do hope they add more body types and things with updates, though, and excited to see what is coming for sure! I've been needing more "mindless" games recently so have been playing a lot of Fashion Dreamer, House Flipper, and Garden Simulator. Thinking about grabbing Power Wash Simulator this pay too heh
Can I keep bugging you to play Little Goody Two Shoes? Unless you played it at EGX and decided it wasn’t for you 😂 I know someone else commented about it on another video, but I swear it is being neglected and is such an adorable (albeit creepy) new game. I did play a stupid amount of Pikmin 4 when it came out and loved it though! ❤ The only issue is I then went and played 1 and 2 when they were ported to Switch and did struggle with the old controls. I did wish they had updated them a bit and they weren’t just straight ports, as the controls are just so clunky and pikmin seem to fly in all directions.
Another great review. I was planning on buying My Time at Sandrock but since I only have a Switch it will have to wait. Hopefully they will fix the problems in the next year or so if we are lucky 😂
Omg I've been hooked on Dave the Diver since I got it. Such a beautifully designed game. My favourite is the cutscenes of the chef when upgrading the different dishes
I was really excited for sandrock until I heard about the performance on switch. If it comes free on Xbox gamepass like Portia does I’ll definitely play it but def not spending money on it for poor performance
Not finished with the video yet but all your criticism is on point. I love the switch and I love Nintendo but they really need to upgrade their systems power. Nintendo's strong suit has typically been having really great games for their consoles, allowing for the third parties to come in as well has been phenomenal. The thing is, that can only really keep you going for so long. What technology is so rapidly advancing, many of these games require a lot of power. I remember back in the day I got My Time At Portia and I thought the game was pretty fun but I stopped playing because it was so clunky on the switch. Unfortunately I don't really have a PC to play games on so my consoles are what I really rely on. And I do not have any of the new generation Xbox or Playstation so I've been pretty much stuck with my switch. I think Nintendo has a great thing going with the switch and are really on the right track with their brand and all this junk but they really do need to hone in on making more powerful machines. Graphics aren't everything, but being able to run smoothly is. I will definitely be getting My Time At Sandrock at some point but will stay away from it on the switch unless Nintendo can prove that have hardware powerful enough to run these games on. I've also been playing Palia on the switch recently, definitely recommend the game to people but maybe stick to PC for now
Wow I didn't realize that Sandrock was compromised in content as well as performance. Yikes! Luckily I have a Steam Deck so I guess I'll just have to get it there. Bummer for the Switch because I liked Portia (played it on Switch) which wasn't amazing but I had a good time with it despite it's issues.
I haven't seen many people talk about it yet but tbf it did just came out but I'm curious to see what others think so far, has anyone been playing SpiritTea yet? I picked it up because it seemed perfect for me. A mix between my favorite comfort movie (Spirited Away) and one of the most iconic indie games of all time (Stardew Valley)! I love it so far but something about it is a bit wonky that I can't explain like how on pc the controls are all e like it wasn't very well adapted for PC.. 😅
I've seen it floating around UA-cam but it's this video that officially put Dave the Diver in my radar. Rouge-like, pixel game AND management??? HECK YEAH!!
Can someone recommend a game that is as similar as possible to Wyld Flowers? And don’t say Fae Farm because Fae Farm can’t compete whatsoever. I loved Wyld Flowers so much I have not been able find anything that compares. Thank you for your help much appreciated.
How did I have no idea until I saw this that Sandrock on console isn’t the full game?! That should have been made way more clear… already bought it on console🤦♀️
I just started watching your videos like 3 days ago and I can’t stop watching them!!!! Thank you for the awesome content and your reviews on games are very helpful. Keep you the great content!!! Much appreciated.
Loved mario wonder are beat it not big on platformers either but this game is a gem. Star world is th3 hardest levels in the whole game. I am also looking forward to sandrock but I'm waiting till after Christmas for updates it needs/patches and will probably get it on xbox instead. I played a demo of Dave the diver and it's actually very enjoyable I plan on buying that at some point.
fashion dreamer was truly a let down for me, well let down may be harsh because i do like it and think its so cute, but its because the potential is seriously there they just didnt spend enough time developing it imo. its fine that it doesnt have the shop management aspect, but there just isnt enough to do to justify the price. i hope they add more things to do in the game because i can only run around and dress people for like 20 minutes before i get bored. and the leveling up system feels... pointless to me when you can just instantly get whatever clothes you want, theres no real motivation to create clothes so until they add motivation i imagine i wont even be using that feature especially since all it does is generate excess of the same thing over and over again. they NEED some sort of category system, if the characters are asking for light blue sweaters i should be able to pull up all the things that are light blue in color. the items are so small that you cant even tell what color some of them are lmao. ARE these glasses peach?? i have no effing idea 🤣 i truly hope they continue to update it. i just want to love it as much as i loved the style savvy games or maybe itll inspire another company to make a similar game, it is such a niche that is hard to fill on both console and pc. i'm really interested in dave the diver! i love the star ocean series but im not a huge fan of that 2.5d style remakes are using these days but it has been a while since i played star ocean 2 so i do want to pick it up at some point.
Are developers going to put much effort into making games play better on switch or are they all changing focus to switch 2 and just forgetting about games for the original and leaving them broken?
Yeah, I think it's kinda wild how the only body type in Fashion Dreamer is like, incredibly skinny. It just makes it feel much less immersive than it could otherwise
This was really insightful and detailed, thank you for this switch review, I really enjoyed watching it ☺️ Dave the diver is already on my list, but it’s good to know whether it’s running smoothly on the switch
Picked up and played through the entirety of Pnvemo Capsvla the other day (I was looking to see if its sequel had been announced for Switch, I played the demo of 2 during the last Next Fest on Steam). I happened to be half-off and $2.50 for 4 hours of puzzles (which I only had to look up one, though I wish it had shown me how to find the answer instead of just putting it on the screen) is definitely a good value. I also finished up While True Learn yesterday, which I started a while a go when I first bought it but hadn't come back to until now. I've been playing Girl Genius: Adventure in Castle Heterodyne, and also recommend the webcomic as it's a fantastic Steampunk series, but for now I have to play the Steam version as our physical Switch version isn't releasing until sometime this winter.
Dave the diver looks really cool but then I think … is this desensitizing people to the over harvesting of our oceans 😢 I love Mario Wonder too!! So fun
Nah the story is actually centred around conservation You only take what is needed for the sushi restaurant, it brings up important topics surrounding conservation of the oceans and its life, you save dolphins from nets ext ext So whilst yes you do kill fish to feed others, it’s in no way mindless
@@Eeowna cool. Thanks for the feedback about it. I was wanting to try it but was afraid that’s what it was doing. I appreciate all the content you put out on your channels. Thanks again for your reply
i feel modern independent and triple A dev teams struggle to get current gen products running on the Switch, it may not be do to laziness but more so due to difficulty or NSW game optimization super lame tho cause theres not disclaimer or discount on price of the title, so i think dropping a NSW release in such a janky state is predatory, especially when your selling a special edition pre-order but who knows... Contracts and legality's prolly also play a role in this jive - in regards to my time at sandrock
Oh it’s totally because of how underpowered and old the switch is, making things so hard for devs right now. BUT it has been done before, like look at no man’s sky for example! I think all of these games that run badly on the switch will improve as well.
as someone who bought and play My Time at Sandrock and portia the first day it hit early access, I'm a bit disappointed that 1.0 update doesn't;t seem to extend the main quest and things you can craft that much but the game has been updated several times during EA and it's definitely worth your money. I agree with you that My Time at Sandrock is not so much of farming game but more like crafting sim. In fact I hate both planting crops and taking care of the animals in My Time at Sandrock but I LOVE the crafting part. THe more complex it is the more I love it.
I am not feeling Sandrock just send it back because I did not like the graphics. They look gross I mean I just downloaded the new Pokemom Scarlett DLC and that look like twice better than Sandrock. But I will play Dave the Diver, that game seems to be perfect.
sadly i will have to get my time at sandrock on switch as my laptop might be able to laggly play sims4 but i dont think it could play sandrock i already have my time at portia on switch and have recently started to play it again since i lost my old save i had if its not much worse then my time at portia on switch i think ill be fine
I enjoy your videos and appreciate you, but would really appreciate you mentioning titles more than just once at the beginning of your reviews. I’m sure I’m not the only person who multitasks while I check out switch reviews. It’s really easy to miss the game title when you only say it once. Just keeping the title up while you talk about it or even better, adding time stamps titled with the name of the game would be so helpful.
There’s nothing wrong with Sandrock on switch. The only difference is some pop in and downgraded graphics. I’ll take that to be able to play handheld but to each their own
I love your videos. Thank you for giving information on what games to avoid. I love hogwarts Legacy on my Switch Oled. so much fun and the graphics are amazing.

I recommend it with all my heart
honestly was shocked to see such negativity about it - the only thing I disliked was the switch port the game itself I love
All of this. Love Sandrock so much 😭.
Where can you get graphite? I'm dying!@@infinitecurlie
i’m scared to play it on switch.
Only those menu items I showed were blurry :)
As I said I love it, it’s just a shame no console version is the finished game
I've only had two or so bugs playing Portia (one I just waited to pass out and the other was a quest that I just reloaded the day and didn't do that quest - it apparently was glitched or something)
The graphics look fine to be.
I think this is a remake of a much older game, or even a remake of a remake haha
BUT this was a v good remake and I have been in love with it
same but since i played portia i knew the basics
I just started Star Ocean the Second Story R, and I’m really enjoying it, but I’m finding the map a little difficult to navigate. I’m looking for Krosse Cave.
@@EeownaHehe, yeah a remake off a remaster 😂 But one of the best unsung heros of the JRPG genre :))
Bonjour, Eewona - je voulais juste te remercier pour tes vidéos de qualités, je les regarde très régulièrement. Merci ❤☺️
Currently obsessed with Suika game!
If you like Dave the Diver - you would love Cuisineer, its a new restaurant management game with a roguelite aspect when going into dungeons to get ingredients! You'd absolutely love it.
It’s in steam only right now ! But I’ve been playing it nonstop and it hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves
Working my way through it atm!
I’d really like to play this, but I only have Switch and Xbox One. Maybe I’ll be able to play it sometime in the future.
Seeing your stream of the Sandrock windmill was honestly priceless XD
Still can't put down Tears of the Kingdom. Honestly, there is enough to see and do in the game to last practically a lifetime.
Yeah spells and secrets is bad, so annoyed I spent 20 euro
Girl, I absolutely love your videos and the content you create, so so joyful to listen to you, and you look fab btw…so keep shining and continue to release more videos, greetings from Ireland 🫶🌈🍀
Love having these videos playing while I do tasks at home or get ready in the morning/for bed. Very informative! Have found several games I’ve loved through you ❤
But I really have to ask!
I hope your comment about it being annoying doesn’t turn people away from the game because it’s honestly the best, especially in this type of gaming, forgetting to take something with you when completing a commission is not even a worry.
so I got the DLC at the start... so it was a NIGHMARE LMAOO
I spent hours trying to clear up enough space - and I think games where things like clothing weren't kept in chests were better imo, like for example being able to actually use the wardrobe in the house to change clothes.
Like yes the chests sort stuff, but when an outfit has 4 peices and 3 different colours, that's 12 sperate slots ahaha
I think I said MORE than enough good things about the game to say one thing I think that I would change haha
Working my way through it rn!
I wasn’t sure how much I liked star ocean myself, but I spent 10 hours straight in it yesterday 😂 so I guess I’m in for the long haul.
I'm so happy that in Portia/Sandrock you're a builder instead of a farmer. I'M SO SICK OF BEING A FARMER.
Here are the notes:
The game dashboard icon is fixed
The cursor glitch is gone
The tutorial cutscene video doesn’t stutter anymore
Some visuals restored
Loadings are a little faster
Local coop blocker is gone
Local coop buttons and icons are fixed
Revive feature is fixed
Rescued schoolmates are now appearing in the hub
Z Fight is gone from boss areas
Sporadic game blocker occurences are fixed
Congrats on passing 100,000 subscribers! I just noticed today! 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏
I can't wait to hear your thought about the story! There were some parts that SHOCKED me. ❤️
Imagine not mentioning the piranha song of Super Mario Wonder 😢.
My Time at Sandrock dose not look that different from how My Time at Portia looked on the switch. I am waiting to get it for my switch till Christmas as by then it should be better patched I hope.
It’s better than that was apparently! And I do have faith it will only get better from here
I've been really enjoying playing dave the diver since it came out on switch. It has really grown on me and honestly became one of my favorite games of all time!
Glad to see you play a variety of games and not just farming games.
The one game I can't put down is "Mario and Rabbids."
I really want to play it on Switch more, just because I can see my sinking a lot of time into it that my wrists can't really handle on Deck but with so much missing still ugh
I've been on the fence with Dave the Diver, as I'm just not huge on rogue lites right now but, there's so much going on I might have to at least try out the demo afterall.
Have you even played any of my time at Sandrock on switch?
@@RachelXKnight666 I've watched a lot of gameplay to see how it runs.
I love power wash simulator lol
I’m wondering if you played my time at Portia? I found the pacing kinda similar, in that game, and sandrock.
Spells and Secrets on Nintendo has the worst loading time! I have the deck on the way ! So excited. I keep referring back to your channel.
Star Ocean is amazing, I used to play it on the PS1
I've also been playing Palia on the switch recently, definitely recommend the game to people but maybe stick to PC for now
Ok ok ok you convinced me 2 copies of Super Mario Bros Wonder so I can play with my son.
I think it’s couch co op!
W-where is he pulling that hermit crab out from?? (Dave the diver part) 😨
I wasn't far enough through it to include it in this vid - but I like it so far!
@@Eeowna Would love to see a review on it in the future!
I just bought Dave the diver so far it seems really great!
So glad I got My Time At Sandrock on Steam! Yes just skip it for the Switch. The limitations for the switch version kills it for me.
Thanks but I’d rather play it in handheld. Downgrades to graphics don’t bother me
Mario Wonder is THE BEEST loved it
I've seen it floating around UA-cam but it's this video that officially put Dave the Diver in my radar.
I’m so happy Dave the diver is on switch I got the demo to see if it can actually gravitate to it like I do a little to the left and fae farm
How did I have no idea until I saw this that Sandrock on console isn’t the full game?! That should have been made way more clear… already bought it on console🤦♀️
It will be, just not right now I believe
I just started watching your videos like 3 days ago and I can’t stop watching them!!!! Thank you for the awesome content and your reviews on games are very helpful. Keep you the great content!!! Much appreciated.
I'm 70 hrs into Dredge but can't finish the game due to a glitch.😢I'm loving Dave the Diver!❤
Is anyone else finding Paleo Pines has such a slow start? I was so pumped for it! I’m wanting to love it, but ….
it definitely takes a while to figure out as there's no real tutorial, other than the flute.
I have only played the demo of dave the diver . I didn't enjoy it at all.
Star ocean sounds interesting
fashion dreamer was truly a let down for me, well let down may be harsh because i do like it and think its so cute, but its because the potential is seriously there they just didnt spend enough time developing it imo. its fine that it doesnt have the shop management aspect, but there just isnt enough to do to justify the price. i hope they add more things to do in the game because i can only run around and dress people for like 20 minutes before i get bored. and the leveling up system feels... pointless to me when you can just instantly get whatever clothes you want, theres no real motivation to create clothes so until they add motivation i imagine i wont even be using that feature especially since all it does is generate excess of the same thing over and over again. they NEED some sort of category system, if the characters are asking for light blue sweaters i should be able to pull up all the things that are light blue in color. the items are so small that you cant even tell what color some of them are lmao.
I think it’s more indies don’t have the time / team/ budget that is often needed to get the game perfect day 1
Ah, fair enough
One to watch out for is Moonstone island on pc and steam but is coming to switch spring 2024.
My time at sandrock is also REALLY good on ps5.
Never clicked so fast saving my money for sprittea game looks fun tried the demo
Yeah, I think it's kinda wild how the only body type in Fashion Dreamer is like, incredibly skinny. It just makes it feel much less immersive than it could otherwise
that's the thing right, it's not even a realistic body type that they went for haha
Me playing Dave the diver while I watch your video lol I love this game, my partner also bought it when they saw me playing the demo
This was really insightful and detailed, thank you for this switch review, I really enjoyed watching it ☺️ Dave the diver is already on my list, but it’s good to know whether it’s running smoothly on the switch
I spit my drink out when you got sad about your fallen pikmin.
I freaking love the Mario elephant 🐘🐘🐘
I’m so interested in Star Ocean. Do you have to play any of the other games to understand the story?
So there are characters from other games but I’m getting along fine with it as my first
Silent hope gives me Bastion vibes
The DLC for My Time At Sandrock is available right now because I bought the little gecko and the Beach and ball Wear
It went up the second my vid did haha just my luck
Yeah that sucks. the DLC released on the 9th
I absolutely can't stop playing Dave the Diver!
You got me hooked on Dave the Diver! Soooooo FUN and addicting to play! Love your recommendations! ❤
I was so disappointed in spells & secrets.
Dave the diver looks really cool but then I think … is this desensitizing people to the over harvesting of our oceans 😢
I love Mario Wonder too!! So fun
Nah the story is actually centred around conservation
You only take what is needed for the sushi restaurant, it brings up important topics surrounding conservation of the oceans and its life, you save dolphins from nets ext ext
So whilst yes you do kill fish to feed others, it’s in no way mindless
@@Eeowna cool. Thanks for the feedback about it. I was wanting to try it but was afraid that’s what it was doing. I appreciate all the content you put out on your channels. Thanks again for your reply
i looked up dave the diver on ebay and i didn't see any copies being sold? is this game not available on switch?
Digital only :)
the only thing is stepping me away from playing sandrock is the twitch FOMO cosmetics tbh but apprently people love this FOMO so maybe its just me?
Twitch cosmetics is literally just a shirt and stuff with the twitch logo that you can only use in multiplayer
My immediate daddy issues when Logan came on the screen and I was like "Hot".
i feel modern independent and triple A dev teams struggle to get current gen products running on the Switch, it may not be do to laziness but more so due to difficulty or NSW game optimization
super lame tho cause theres not disclaimer or discount on price of the title, so i think dropping a NSW release in such a janky state is predatory, especially when your selling a special edition pre-order but who knows...
Dave the diver is so good. I played the demo and it's on my wishlist
as someone who bought and play My Time at Sandrock and portia the first day it hit early access, I'm a bit disappointed that 1.0 update doesn't;t seem to extend the main quest and things you can craft that much but the game has been updated several times during EA and it's definitely worth your money. I agree with you that My Time at Sandrock is not so much of farming game but more like crafting sim. In fact I hate both planting crops and taking care of the animals in My Time at Sandrock but I LOVE the crafting part. THe more complex it is the more I love it.
I love that there’s so little farming, I’m so fed up of it hahaha
Graphics don't change the quality of gameplay
I am not feeling Sandrock just send it back because I did not like the graphics. They look gross I mean I just downloaded the new Pokemom Scarlett DLC and that look like twice better than Sandrock. But I will play Dave the Diver, that game seems to be perfect.
I’m wondering to getting the my time at Sandrock but now I’m not sure for the switch as I don’t have a pc
I was so hyped for Fashion Dreamer. 😢
But that price tag.
sadly i will have to get my time at sandrock on switch as my laptop might be able to laggly play sims4 but i dont think it could play sandrock i already have my time at portia on switch and have recently started to play it again since i lost my old save i had if its not much worse then my time at portia on switch i think ill be fine
It’s in the description box and if you move the cursor over the timeline it also shows up there too 😊
Thank you so much for talking about the body diversity problem with Fashion Dreamer!
I’m really hoping that the new switch console gets released next year so that I can play sandrock !!! (and many more… but that’s for another day).
I do think it WILL be made better, just can't recommend it rn
There’s nothing wrong with Sandrock on switch. The only difference is some pop in and downgraded graphics. I’ll take that to be able to play handheld but to each their own
I love your videos. Thank you for giving information on what games to avoid. I love hogwarts Legacy on my Switch Oled. so much fun and the graphics are amazing.
I LOVE SILENT HOPE!
I feel like no one has been talking about it??? Like it’s not deep but it is fun
