Hey mate, I don’t even know where to begin. I watched that over four nights and it was an absolute epic. I really felt like I was there at times (I absolutely was not, I was in bed during an Australian summer) you did such a wicked job of documenting that trip. Buck is a bloody bad ass! I smiled every time you turned the camera back to watch him hauling that sled in the distance 😂 That is a true example of man’s best friend right there. He’s proven that he’ll follow you no matter where you go. Yeah, don’t know what else to say other than I thoroughly enjoyed this film man, and it’s awesome that you get to live out your dreams of exploration. Another inspiration of mine over the last few years and definitely a reason I’ve managed to make this UA-cam adventuring my full time gig now as well.
Thank you dude 🙏 Give Buck a pat for me. He deserves it.

When we got home, he’d run to the does and bark at the door knob , looking back at me and then at the door again thinking, when the heck is the 8 hour a day walk was going to commence.

I actually posted some short, like five min vids from it before I had any subscribers but the vast majority of the footage wasn’t used. I did that Baffin Island trek, travelling with Buck my solar means and I edited a video series out of that for my YT channel. Even that I filmed for a magazine and eventually put it up on YT, though it was a lot closer to the trip than this one.

They had the Pingualuit Crater trips planned well in advance and it was just a coincidence that I saw them again there. I filmed the trip and a professional video editor cut a seven min spot for the Discovery Chsnnel show Daily Planet in 2016. The same editor taught a video editing course at a community collage and had his students edit some of the raw footage into three or four short, five min vids which I uploaded to my channel before I had any subscribers. The vast majority of the footage was never used. So, I finally just got to it and edited it all into the single documentary you see here.

Greetings from Deeeee-troit. Loved this vid. Hope to meet you someday Jim. I had a dog (samoyed) that was so much like Buck. Buck is the coolest dog to ever ever be on YT.

Amazing adventure Jim! And an incredible job filming/editing the whole the thing! For your next podcast, would you consider breaking down all your electronics for us (electronics, panels, batteries, cameras, other filming accessories, etc)? Would be extremely interesting!

This whole episode was crazy especially the shitsicles. What a nightmare! Starving, shedding, and freezing. Buck was a trooper! What a dog 🐕 ❤. That ice fishing hole 🕳 was the deepest I've ever seen, that must have taken forever to dig through.

Thanks! Lots more to come this year too. I think I’ve posted family adventure stuff for the last four or five months. I love thst I get to spend that time with the kids through what I do for sure but I can see that, if you want to see this kind of content, taking a toddler along isn’t in the cards lol.
