thank you so much! My niece has down syndrome and she was born with a heart condition. M sister and brother-in-law also brought her home. she will be 45 this year, amazing considering the doctor's said she would never talk, walk, or live beyond childhood, when they also told them people did not usually keep their mongoloid babies. She has truly been a blessing to anyone who knows her. she graduated with her little brother. I can see why a group of bigfoots would become friends with a child with down syndrome. Jamie sounds just like my niece. Thank you again for sharing this beautiful story with us!

What a blessing! My cousin, who also was born with Down’s, lived to be 58. Her parents, my great aunt & uncle, also ignored the advice from the hospital, instead, considering themselves extra blessed by the Lord. My aunt cared for her at home, for many years after her husband passed, and only lasted a few more short years after her daughter went home. I was very blessed to have grown up being taught that those special babies are a gift from God. 🩷

People with Down's Syndrome are the most amazing people. I'm in my 50s, but I have decided that when I grow up, I want to be as amazing as they are. My granddaughter has taught me so much about unconditional love. I've learned so much more from her, than I ever did on my own.

I worked in a service program by the Name of Valley Movie goers a Ride Guardian service for special needs, My "Assistant" was a little guy with downs Carson & some of the stuff he could do was amazing despite downs he was a normal guy sadly he died at 32 years from compound organ failure in May of 2020, He'd asked me to visit him in the hospital his mom got my address from the service & asked me in person. I did one better we looked up a movie coming out he'd want to see we contacted the theater & gave my Member card number & I blew ever point I'd saved up to rent that movie I made a big bag of theater pop (Popcorn, skittles, nibz, gummy bears, & Dark chocolate chunks) & brought in 6L of diet cola & made arrangements with the hospital to hang blackout curtains & set up my own projector. I took him to the theater one last time just 2 weeks before his passing.
This story invoked my best feeling having known Carson for 20 years & his never wavering commitment to his community works, Charity fund raising, & his love of cooking... & how he loved my chili while everyone else was reeling form the spices lol guy made a mean srcapan(fried rice with veggies ground meat & gravy) too.
but yes R.I.P. Jamie & to hell with "people" who cast aside those who are different in mind & or body.

I once gave a lyft ride to a gulf War veteran with ptsd and survivors guilt. I explained to him that he survived so he can tell his friends stories. I then began telling him WW2 stories that my Papaw had told me when he was alive. By time he exited my car, his entire demeanor had changed. He again had a purpose, to keep his friends alive by telling their stories. Now, every time someone listens to this video, or one of us thinks about it, Jamie and the Kooks remain alive. ❤

I have a nephew with downsyndrome. I lived with my brother and his wife when my nephew was a baby. He was a sweetheart , angel. Sadly, my brother and his wife divorced, and she moved away with the children. The time I spent with my nephew I consider a godsend. I learned that people with downsyndrome are a blessing, they love and are full of happiness. They can teach us how to enjoy life more. ❤❤❤❤

To the Dr.-in-law, your written account was perfection. I wouldn't have you change a thing, especially regarding how much was about Jamie vs the Bigfoot. Both gave insights into the other.
I am sorry for the loss of your loved ones. Thank you for recounting all these memories - if it made us cry, it must've made you cry too. ❤💔❤️ But it really honors Jamie. What a great family to marry into!

As I've told you it does not matter how long the story I enjoy them as I've enjoyed hearing about Jamie's Bigfoot friends. This is more proof of my theory that Bigfoot are like people some are good and helpful and others are bad and dangerous then there are the ones that are curious but just want to be left alone. I know Wilma missed Jamie but I think she understood that he had to be with his family at that time. Thank you for the encounter.

Hello Nance, I live more than 5000 miles from these United States of America. I live in Monrovia, Liberia. You probably have heard about this tiny West African nation, that is fashioned in almost every way after that of the US of A. That was just a little bit of background.
Nance, since I came across your channel on UA-cam more than a year ago, I have been hooked. I sometimes listen to you narrate bigfoot story twice or thrice daily. Your voice is so soothing. Thanks to you and others, including Lane Smith for always making my day.
I have listened to you narrate many touching stories I don't remember any of them being so touching as this one sent in by "Doctor in-law". They way he wrote the story tells anyone, though it is now 25 years since Jamie died, he still very fondly remembers him and his family. Thank you, Nance for always making my day. Stay blessed.

@@BuckeyeBigfoot ❤️❤️. At some point here when I get my ducks in a row I'm going to start a cryptid channel and call it WV panhandle cryptids. The people here in the small West Virginia village are very down-to-earth and will tell you everything that's on their hearts and share any experiences they've had. And when I mentioned Bigfoot to them they don't scoff and laugh at me. And with the new bypass being put outside of town and they tore down so many huge trees that the wildlife is being pushed closer to town or to other areas. I've already talked to a few people who told me things. Quite frankly if people don't want to believe me that's their problem I'm not worried about it. I've had my share of bullying when I was a child. The people here how many of them are poor and hard-working and have lived here their whole lives. So at the high school this morning there's going to be a fishing expo and I'm going to go down there cuz I think it'll be interesting and I can probably meet some more people. Have a great weekend Nance!

Ah! There you Buckeye Bigfoot. It's Friday and I've been waiting for you and the Sas-squad. I will be sitting around the campfire while eating my chicken strips and French fries and listen to you read off the story. Good old Southeast Ohio is close to my heart.

This is a wonderful story. I was listening while driving, I arrived at my destination and sat in my car for the last 10 minutes of the story. I had to hear the end, I couldn’t pause and come back, I had to hear the ending. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story about Jaime and his friends.

One of the best, if not the best, bigfoot encounter stories I've ever heard. I can only imagine the bright spot Jamie provided for Wilma, stuck in her sad little world of toxicity and domestic violence.

I'm literally crying, what a beautiful story and wonderful family. The thing that is comforting me is that Jamie, Tabitha, Sicily and Herb are all back together again. And I believe that Jamie will see Wilma and Barney and the baby in Heaven, for they were Truly the treasures of his life... maybe even Fred. So, to the author ... if he reads this, I'm so sorry for your losses, but you will be with them again someday. God Bless from Oregon!

How devastatingly sad this story was. I actually teared up and almost cried. Poor Jamie ; he experienced so much loss! I’m so sorry the doctor also had so much loss. Terribly sad. I feel this is the saddest story I’ve heard on your channel. I hope the doctor finds happiness in this stage of his life to ease his grief. Thank you for sharing this very well written story with us. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Thanks for reading this for us, Nance.

Loss adds up until we find ourselves alone with only the hope that GOD has not forgotten us. I hope all find some happiness in this life
