@@Prince-fr2lr I was lucky enough to get this down just before we receive our three months of 100 plus degree temperatures here in Central Texas. Celsius does exactly what it says it's gonna do and I have a weed free backyard. One thing it does not handle very well would be Dallas grass. I experimented with some of it outside my property on a walkway between my home leading to a park that is full of Dallas grass and it had little to no effect on it. My constant fear is that Dallas spreads into my yard so I'm looking for any and everything to get rid of it besides glyphosate. So far we're winning the battle on everything except Dallas grass. I highly encourage it this product and the size makes perfect sense for the home user.
Application rate works out to 3/4th a teaspoon per gallon (3.7 grams). Get a cheap set of measuring spoons and scoop a level 3/4th a teaspoon, easy work...
Hello, I am in Tampa and they just installed 1,300 sqf of St. Augustine. They recommended that I use herbicide to prevent it from becoming contaminated with weeds. Can I apply Celsius at this time of year or do you recommend something else? St. Augustine has only been installed 7 days ago?
I just got a pack today to kill doveweed that is taking over a small area of my yard. I was wondering if I could use half the package to just mix 1 gallon and save the rest for a second application in 4 weeks. Or if it would stay good, I could just mix up 2 gallons and leave the left over in the sparay till needed? I'm in St. Augustine, and have St. Augustine grass.
I tried it and definitely kills many weeds i wasn't able to control. but ,i ran out of Celsius so didn't cover all my grass, what i found the area i sprayed Celsius, the st Augustine grows 1/3 rate of the area not sprayed, it affected the growth somehow ,after one month still growing slower.
How hot is too hot to apply this? I am in the desert and the average temp has been about 105 and on some days gets up to 115. Also I have seen others mix with "Speed Zone" for broader coverage. Do you discourage this practice?
Use this on my backyard without surfactant and did the job but had to use a lot of Celsius. Did the front yard with surfactant and did just as great of job with way less Celsius needed.
I added left over Image Southern Lawn Weed killer about a week ago while waiting for the Celsius to arrive to some of my lawn. Can I add the Celsius on top of the Image Southen Lawn Weed killer?
Will Celsius be effective in the late fall on a Bermuda grass lawn. The Bermuda grass was newly seeeded in April. It did pretty well until the drought so I’m having problems with Dallas and crabgrass, but want to kill it before winter.
So if I spray this sucker on my st Augustine grass over areas of opportunistic Bahia grass sprouts I should be able to kill of that Bahia grass in my st aug??? I’m ecstatic if so.
Go to the store and get Image for Southern Lawns - it's the same as what professionals use and it's available to us homeowners. It has a purple top and can be found at Lowes and HD.
it's best to not mow 2-3 days prior to application so the weeds don't get cut off. You want this product to contact leaf surface so it can absorb and cutting first will remove some of the leaf surface. that's why they want you to not mow 2-3 days in advance. hope that helps!
I would recommend you reach out to the seller and ask but I bet that is a production date and not an expiration. That's just a guess. If you need some fresh stuff, I have it here thelawncarenut.com/products/celsius-wg
It's optional according to the label, but I have found that the results with surfactant are no better but you can get some burn to the good grass using them. So I leave the surfactant out.
Can you please quit yelling Bahia Grass!!!!!??? I always wear my ear buds watching you and you always blow my ear drums when you do that! There’s no need it’s not even funny
Blog post - an important read if you are new to applying Celsius Herbicide yardmastery.com/blogs/news/celsius-wg-herbicide-information-and-use-rates
I just received and used this yesterday. Can't wait to see the results.
How was the results?

@@theoiv thanks def gonna give it a try bee using store bought stuff and tenacity with no luck. Have you tried using atrazine to kill the Dallas grass
@@Prince-fr2lr 🤔 ok, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for providing updates. Any other info almost a year later?

Is this for high rate?
Great Video I have Virginia Buttonweed only in certain areas (Spot Spraying) what do you recommend for storage of left overCelsius WG?
Thanks,

It seems like a great weed killer to use. The one thing I like about it is that you can use it in higher temperatures, and it will kill chamberbitter.
I hate chamberbitter. I just bought this stuff. I hope it works.
You sir are a bad ass!!!

How long should i wait before fertilizing my lawn after using Celsius?
Dang it I’ve been using surfactant! Well now I know not to use it. 😊
Surfactant doesn't really hurt it, it's an option you can add but I have found it isn't needed.
So them saying it’s safe for warm season grass doesn’t mean it won’t get injured. Thanks for sharing.
how long does it take to start seeing it work
5 days or so on most weeds.
How many days after lawn is cut should I wait to spray the lawn??
Is this safe to throw down now in the Florida heat?
Scratch that. Just read that it is safe lol
How hot is too hot to apply this? I am in the desert and the average temp has been about 105 and on some days gets up to 115. Also I have seen others mix with "Speed Zone" for broader coverage. Do you discourage this practice?
I read somewhere apply between 60-95°
Do the small packets have surfactant built in?
no they do not and it isn't really needed anyway.
Would you recommend mowing before application?
I mowed two days prior. That way the weed is actively growing and will suck the poison better
Good point. For me I kept it long so I could tell where the weeds are. Will try cutting them high next time
Late follow up: This stuff worked like a champ! It's not cheap, but def worth it.
I want to buy the big bottle but I couldn’t find it on YM or domyown. Where would you recommend buying it
I would try your local Site One Supply.
thanks buddy
Safe for Floratam? And how does it compare to Image?
Yes good on Floratam and doesn't have the same heat restrictions as Image.
Going to put some down today. Hope it knock the hell out of the carpet grass that showed up this year.

Works on flower beds?
I’m assuming it can’t be used on Tall fescue?
Will it kill clumping fescue?
yes it will. (in warm season lawns only)
Will this help kill Sandspurs? Or any recommendations??
Will Celsius be effective in the late fall on a Bermuda grass lawn. The Bermuda grass was newly seeeded in April. It did pretty well until the drought so I’m having problems with Dallas and crabgrass, but want to kill it before winter.
Yes it will work if night time temps are staying over 55. It will be slow though.

yes it will kill the bahia - may take 2 apps.
Can this be applied in fall season ?
yes works great as long as the weeds are still actively growing
Will CELCIUS help with Quackgrass?
I see other guys using turf marker dye to see where you’re spraying. Is this necessary?
Not necessary, but it helps some people.
Does this work on dallisgrass?
unfortunately no
Should you remove the weeds when you see they die or leave them dead in the lawn?
Leave it long enough to kill root then scrape away dead weeds and fill (bigger) bare spots with sand and potting soil/fertilizer mix
Question what type of professional herbicides are good for Bahia grass? I live in Jacksonville Fl and I'm looking for something good for my yard.

i ordered this but may have unnecessarily ordered Surfactant along with it. do i need Surfactant ?
yes
@@Allan-r8i thanks i used it. bought the green dye too but that dont do anything, cant even see it
I ordered the single packet off Amazon and it showed expired 1/2021. I hope I can return it as I’m not sure of the shelf life.

Mine say mfg date 21.seems no expiration for this product
Do I have to water it in?
no you want to let it sit all good.
Can I mix sledgehammer with this
yes you sure can.
In a 2 gallon or 1 gallon sprayer?? So both in 1 gal or both in 2 gallon?
This is very important
Why is this restricted for California 😢
Ask Gavin Newsome
Because that state sucks
I thought it called for a surfactant to be added?
It's optional according to the label, but I have found that the results with surfactant are no better but you can get some burn to the good grass using them. So I leave the surfactant out.
