I have seen every episode from the frist one. I just turned 78 and you have become a second family to me. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family as well as any others that were affected by this storm. Mother Nature is so beautiful and mesmerizing one moment and then full of anger the next.

You guys are built for this! Been watching since you poured the footings, hardly ever comment but this one hit home. Your kids out helping assess the damage and figure out how to help with the animals and what all was lost, is ultimately so amazing. Not only have you built your home on a solid foundation, but your family's foundation is unbreakable. Hat's off to you guys!
That was a violent storm! It's good to see that you survived without injuries and without major damage. The poultry wagon can be repaired again. Stay healthy. Greetings from Berlin, Germany.
I'm sorry for all of your loss but I'm so glad you all are safe and your major systems are safe. I'm sure you hugged each other a little tighter tonight.
That was scarey! So glad you and your family are okay ! The care and concern you showed for your animals was heart warming - hope everything turns out okay!
So grateful you are all safe. You weathered your first storm very well together, as the loving family you are. You have built your home and family with a solid strong foundation. Sending love hugs prayers and blessings from Florida.
Feeling for y'all! I've had two homes flooded by hurricanes and our first home, a manufactured home, flipped. It's never easy, but as y'all said, everyone is safe. That's the true bottom line. Your attitudes seem strong and able to weather any storm. Prayers that everything goes smoothly with repairs.
Times like this you will show your kids your resolve and how you just have to accept what nature can throw at you…and what they will learn is the way grown ups go for recovery when times are bad…there will be good times…well done Erin and Josh for coping.
Erin, hearing our little Princess Ellie cry, tore our hearts up! I have been through tornado's and bad storms here in Omaha and they are terrifying and horrible to go through, so I know the fright you, Josh, and the kids went through. Sorry about your losses, but also happy that your family was not injured. Your Trout Pond renovation is sure not going well. Nothing working right there. Stay safe and may the good Lord bless y'all!
I can’t imagine just how terrifying and heartbreaking that was for you all - especially poor little Ellie. My thoughts are with you all as you recover.
We experienced it last night. It was probably one of the scariest storms I have experienced in my lifetime. A gorgeous day turned into a nightmare. I am taking a mid day break from clean-up efforts right now. Glad you all are safe.
Wow, this made me cry 😢 I’ve been following you guys since the first episode and feel like I know you. I’m so proud of how you reacted so fast and smart, and stayed in control. What a good thing for your kids to see how strong you are in the face of danger. Your family unit is the strongest I know, and you’ve done an amazing job with all of it ❤️
Hard to hit the ‘like’ button when you’ve been hit so hard, but it’s just to show support. Love your family, glad none of you were hurt. Wish we could say the same about your livestock and your infrastructure. God bless and Godspeed to you all!
OHMY! That was so emotional to watch… So sorry you all had to experience that, so scary & Ellie crying; praying for your family. Take Care. The positive is you know what to do to prepare & have the animals homes secured down for the next storm tho may that not occur any time soon. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
the storms came in so quickly it was a beautiful day but it all change with in a few mintues i heard the alarms went off on their home i saw hail and the rain and winds glad everyone is okay
Glad you’re all safe. One thing for sure is that you have demonstrated that you learn from your experiences…this storm has given you new insight into housing and protecting your animals. And possibly out of this a bad weather plan for your family. Keep at it…you’ll get it all figured out.
My heart was beating out of my chest as I watched the destructive storm hit your homestead. So glad that you are all safe and well (including the animals). 💓💓💓
Wow! Big burly tough guy checking in. I was about in tears watching the devastation and the fear your family went through. The hard work you guys put in day in and day out and then this. It is a blessing that no one was injured, the house was ok and the animals seemed to fair ok. You’re family unit are warriors and will be back from this stronger than ever and I can promise you we will all be here to watch. Stay strong y’all.
Absolutely @Cgrite, I couldn’t have said it better myself! That very moment when the fear & tears put such a tension in my body! Wow 😮 Thank God for their saftey..
I am working and on break and almost can't keep my composure because of this...I am so thankful you guys are ok and sorry for any animals that were injured or lost.
Been through a few stroms in my time. Grew up in southwestern Ohio. Was driving home from HS when the F5 tornado wiped out Xenia in 1974. Where I was driving was about a half mile from a tornado that was crossing over a field and it tore the roof off of a farmhouse and exploded a barn - animals flying. Scary stuff.
Happy that you, your family and animals are safe and sound. The silver lining is that the beautiful home that you built has such a strong foundation that even 80 MPH winds couldn't shake it. Much love to you all!
As the episode faded with you and Josh looking out your window, I was flooded with thanks that you had the strength and skill to construct this sturdy homeplace, and that you were all safe, and protected. Had this happened during construction, I fear there would be more destruction. Hard lessons teach proactive solutions....I am betting you have already concocted plans to protect the animals from future storms. Hoping your reno didn't suffer damage, and that your garden survived the hail. Love to all!💗
I had tears running the entire time I watched this! I’m so grateful your family and home were safe! I’m so sorry about the animals and destruction! Heart breaking…..but if any family can persevere, it’s you guys! Sending lots of love your way! Look at what you’ve built and how strong it is! 💪🏻😉💜🙏🏽

Glad you guys are okay I think what Josh said standing by the barn sums it up the best it could have been worse. It just goes to show you no matter where you live never underestimate Mother Nature's Fury and strength and how rapid the weather can change in the blink of an eye.
This was heartbreaking to watch. Having lived my whole life in the midwest these storms are more common than hurricanes and just as devastating. Until one has lived through one of these storms they do not realize how much damage can be done in such a short time. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
My heart goes out to your whole family. Hearing Ellie’s screams of terror hit me hard. Way to hold it together, Josh & Erin! I think my buddy says it best, “Time and pressure makes diamonds.” Y’all are well on your way to absolute beauty.
I'm still shaking over your ordeal. Shock really. Ellie screaming/crying really intensified the fear factor. I'm so glad that you're all safe, the house is still standing & that you've got power. So glad the animals made it thru as well. Such team work. Kids pitching in. Heart warming. God Bless You All & Keep You Safe. Amen.
I feel for your family and glad you are all safe and the most important structures of the farm are in good condition. The lessons learned from your experience will provide you with the knowledge to build stronger and better. You're a smart people and will over come any obstacles ahead. God bless.
Wow, that was really intense. Sorry for your losses I'm glad the family is safe and most of your animals survived. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay as safe as possible
9:10 Even in the extremity of your family's fears, you kept the camera rolling, Erin, so that we could all share with you that depth, as you have shared your countless happy heights over the years. Thank you. We are all very glad that you are safe. And that your solar system stood the test.
So true. Erin captured the fear and resolve of this young family and animals beautifully. I felt as if I was there with them riding it out. So sad, but captured so effortlessly.
I know it is tough to see you hard work devastated by the weather, but thank GOD you and the kiddos are good. This will be a unique part of building resilience as a family. You are an amazing family that inspires so many others. Hang in there and I will be praying for your rebuild and continued safety.. God Bless and Semper Fi
I am SO sorry your family has to go through this-hearing Ellie cry and Erin's fear absolutely broke my heart and made me cry! I hope your dogs are ok also! Please let us know in future videos if you need anything, I'd be happy to do whatever I could to help! Love-and prayers-from MN!!
my heart goes out to you all to see that you have built a wonderful home and farm and to see it destroyed with minutes must be devastating but i am glad to see you all safe and sound best wishes to you all keep safe from Mike in England
Thank God everyone is ok. That video put so much into perspective. I am also glad the house had those strong concrete walls. Again, I am glad y’all are ok. ❤️⚓️❤️
seeing the terror in Erin's eyes and hearing little ellie scream just broke my heart brought tears to my eyes been through a couple of storms that bad 🙏🙏🙏💗💗💗
It’s a blessing your family and the animals are alright. Our neighborhood had a small tornado blow through about three months ago. A lot of roofs damaged and trees knocked down or snapped off. Two homes were destroyed. Winds were 90+ mph. That was a scary couple of minutes, that’s all it lasted. Good luck moving forward. You need a trap door to get under the house without going outside.
glad you're planning a safe room with your addition. i know that this storm's made it where y'all are going to have lots of rebuilding, rethinking, and fixing things destroyed, but i hope you can get started on that addition soon. god bless.
The lotd protected your family in those moments of the storm, although it’s been devastating to have the damage , it’s nothing that can’t be fixed. You’re going to be a stonger unit after experiencing this, blessings to uou all.
First of all - props to Josh for representing the Demolitia!!!! Seriously, though, we had really bad winds here in Cincinnati and a confirmed tornado. Glad your house was built nice and sturdy and survived. Sorry for all the other damage. It really sucks. Fan from Cincinnati.

Oh goodness!! So much revelation in this episode!! I'm so glad that you and your family are safe and that due to all the hard work of you both in establishing your home as off-grid and sturdy, that you'll be able to get to work on what needs doing for your animals, as I know you all love them so dearly! I trust that what comes of this will be even more stellar than what was permitted to come down. Thank you for sharing your lives and grit, it's very inspiring! Prayers for you all!
When I saw the storm devastation on the internet, I immediately thought of you guys. I have faith that you will have no problem rebuilding, bigger and better than before. Sending lots of prayers and well wishes to your family and your beautiful homestead.
It was amazing how you captured this devastating storm and had enough cool to film it capturing your family and animals reactions. Things will get back to normal. You're an amazing family and it's why so many watch you guys. May the storm gods keep their distance from you...
Wow, scary for sure guys, but look at all you accomplished that stood up to that storm! Your family and your house are solid, animals are tough and they can fend for themselves well enough, continue to be strong and tight as a family, this will be just a great story to add soon.
Being from the Caribbean, every hurricane season we watch hoping and praying that we will be spared. Having experienced quite a few hurricanes here in Jamaica, I know this feeling all too well. Keep your chin up once there is life there is hope! Bless you
I'm glad you guys are ok, I have a 6 year old daughter and hearing your daughter cry from fear broke my heart. I'm not gonna lie, my eyes got a little watery....but in the end things can be replaced so again glad you all are ok.
Wow! That was scarry, So glad the family is OK. You guys are so compassionate to your animals and everything around you. I could see the fear in your eyes Erin, as I sat here in my dinning room reassuring you its gonna be ok and Thankful that you have a guy like Josh to keep you all safe. When you were worried for the animals, a thought went through my mind that the animals know your voice, and they will respond to you. You are home and a safe haven for them. Take the repairs one bite at a time. The important thing is you all are safe. We are thankful. God bless.
Thank God all of you are ok! How freakin scary! I’m so sorry about the destruction to your homestead. I’m sorry you lost some of your feathered friends. I’m so grateful it wasn’t worse. We know all the time and energy and love you put into your homestead. It’s a blessing and a credit to you both that, your home and solar survived. We’re sick that you lost all that Sheetrock. This whole storm was insane, but, you guys pulled together as always and got ish done quick! I have to say, I burst into tears, when you said the chicken trailer was down. As well as the animals all disappearing. We were in fear for y’all, thank goodness you closed in the deck! Praying everything gets back to some kind of normal quickly.
wow! Feel for you guys. Being from SW Missouri, I know how these popup storms can be. The Joplin F5 tornado was crazy, but even small tornadoes or high wind events can be devastation and scary!
Would've been nice of there was an access point from under the house to under the deck so you all wouldn't have to run outside. Maybe a possible change in the future? Just wondering. Glad y'all are safe.
I was thinking maybe a hatch in floor to access under the house just in case something happens to the house itself, I pray it doesn't but a back up plan to your backup plan is wise, I am glad they are all safe and they will make it through together ❣️❤️❤️❤️
That would be a great idea - having access to your safe place from the interior of the house would make life so much easier in that kind of awful weather.......it would make everyone feel so much more confident should a storm like that hit again.....you guys can work it out and make something like that happen. I am just so thankful that you all are unhurt and there for each other. God Bless you. x
You guys did a great job at disaster recovery. And looking into the future, you will definitely have some lessons learned to prepare yourself in case it happens again.
I am so thankful that you and the children are ok, I am weeping inside for your loss… you have all been so strong throughout the whole build, this has given you the ability and drive to come through this terrible event… You guys are incredible human beings… loved by so many.❤️❤️🙏🙏
Thoughts and prayers with you as you walk the path of recovery from the storm. Whilst it has been heartbreaking because of the damage, there were many positives. Take care, and let's hope the storms will stay away, so you can carry out the clean-up , and repairs and replacement.

That storm was insane! Off the surface winds (meaning the stuff above the ground by maybe 100 feet or so) were showing winds upwards of 100mph on the radar. I am sure there are a lot of lessons learned from this, but there were also a lot of things spared. You all are alright and that is all that matters. I am sorry for the losses. One note, I was young when some very severe weather went through my yard and it caused a lot of post-trauma when storms would come later. It is important to share that this was a rare event with the kids as every storm will become a stressed filled event depending on how you all deal with it. I know each kid is unique, but when I had a storm like this when I was little it also sparked in me a love for weather and meteorology which helped me understand what causes bad storms and how to look at the radar and other things so I know what to expect when severe weather approaches. Hope all dries up well and no more losses!

Sending love hugs prayers and blessings from Florida.
omg my heart sank when the kids were so scared, I just wanted to hug them tight, so glad you all were ok. praying for everyone and the animals
I’m glad you guys are ok and I’m sorry for the loss of your animals and things you have worked so hard to built to keep them safe 😢❤️🇬🇧
Your family is blessed to have no injuries. Your family is strong and you will rebound. Kindness is being sent by your UA-cam family.
Glad u r ok as well
Wow, this made me cry 😢 I’ve been following you guys since the first episode and feel like I know you.
So sorry for your losses, but your family is the real treasure on that farm so we are grateful you're all safe.
I shed a tear when your little girl cried and was afraid !! As a man with 6 daughters!! It hit home hard. Thank god everyone was ok.
Awesome
Yup, its like hit the pause, we just wanna jump thru the screen and show up to help
I remember when the Xenia tragedy happened. I had an Aunt and Uncle that lived close to South Solen at that time.
I love and respect the way that both of you are teaching your children to be good stewards of their land and animals.
Love to all!💗
Hello Bridget how are you doing
I am so sorry for the devastation you have on your property. I am glad you and the family are safe!
Hello Karin how are you doing
I had tears running the entire time I watched this! I’m so grateful your family and home were safe! I’m so sorry about the animals and destruction! Heart breaking…..but if any family can persevere, it’s you guys! Sending lots of love your way! Look at what you’ve built and how strong it is! 💪🏻😉💜🙏🏽
I’m so glad you are all safe. Especially my friend LEON! Hammer and nails, mops and pails. You guys are gonna make it! We are all with you 100%, at over a million strong, we got this! Much love always.
Wow, I am so sorry for what happen to you guys, but I am so happy that you were all safe, you and the animals. You did the right thing! Be blessed! 💚💚💚
Hello Caroline how are you doing?
@@gentleman593 Hello Gentleman! I am doing just fine! How about you?
@@Caroline_Boivin I’m glad you’re doing good. I’m great thanks. Where are you from?
My heart and prayers goes out to everyone who was affected by this storm. Thank goodness your all alright.
Watching the storm sent chills up and down my spine i can't even imagine how scary that must of been..Hugs to all.. Take care ❤
Sooo grateful you’re all together and ok. I’m so sorry about the animals. Unreal.
Stay safe. Thinking of you all.
I'm still shaking over your ordeal. Shock really. Ellie screaming/crying really intensified the
fear factor.
Ребята держитесь. Ужасно то что случилось. Вам сил, терпения и надежды ! Вы молодцы, со всем справитесь.
Praying for a swift recovery from this storm. So sorry, but glad you're all here and made it through. ❤😪🙏🏻
True but I don't understand that. When things are that bad why would you think to do that? JMO
Grateful everybody is ok! You all are strong. Praying for the rebuild of what was destroyed.
we will be again here for them to rebuild again
I am SO sorry your family has to go through this-hearing Ellie cry and Erin's fear absolutely broke my heart and made me cry! I hope your dogs are ok also! Please let us know in future videos if you need anything, I'd be happy to do whatever I could to help! Love-and prayers-from MN!!
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger what an amazing family
my heart goes out to you all to see that you have built a wonderful home and farm and to see it destroyed with
minutes must be devastating but i am glad to see you all safe and sound best wishes to you all keep safe from Mike in England
DEMOLITION NEEDS TO STEP UP AND SHOW UP WITH SOME MUSCLE TO PUT THIS ALL BACK TOGETHER AGAIN!!!! PUT YOUR MUSCLE WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS @DEMOLITIONRANCH AND SHOW UP WITH A MUSCLE CREW!!!
***CHALLENGING MATT CARRIKER AND THE DEMOLITION!!! SHOW UP!!!***
😄 I didn't even notice until I read your comment.
Yup...right on his t-shirt.."Demolita". ✌👏👏👏🇺🇲
I noticed it in one of the first shots. I knew I would find more Demolitia in the comments!
Ir's also amazing that the solar panels weren't ruined....
Wow, scary for sure guys, but look at all you accomplished that stood up to that storm! Your family and your house are solid, animals are tough and they can fend for themselves well enough, continue to be strong and tight as a family, this will be just a great story to add soon.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Their work is SOLID! 💪🏻😉
guys heard it I Aggree
Solid house, solid family. The important things you've accomplished. You are not afraid of hard work, all the rest is just life.
God bless.
S.O.S
We just went through this a month ago on our farm. We had 110 mph winds and lots of damage. Prayers for you
wow! Feel for you guys. Being from SW Missouri, I know how these popup storms can be. The Joplin F5 tornado was crazy, but even small tornadoes or high wind events can be devastation and scary!
Kentucky here and I was thinking the same thing. Especially when I saw it started to hail. Tornadoes are scary.
Had some time to catch up. Very emotional video. Always impressed with your will, strength and tenacity
Would've been nice of there was an access point from under the house to under the deck so you all wouldn't have to run outside. Maybe a possible change in the future? Just wondering. Glad y'all are safe.
💯
The addition (bedrooms) is going to have a safe room as he stated.
God Bless you. x
My heart was breaking for the cold shivering chicken. What a terrifying storm. Sorry you guys had so much hard work and money destroyed ❤
You guys did a great job at disaster recovery. And looking into the future, you will definitely have some lessons learned to prepare yourself in case it happens again.
I am so thankful that you and the children are ok, I am weeping inside for your loss… you have all been so strong throughout the whole build, this has given you the ability and drive to come through this terrible event…
You guys are incredible human beings… loved by so many.❤️❤️🙏🙏
Thoughts and prayers with you as you walk the path of recovery from the storm. Whilst it has been heartbreaking because of the damage, there were many positives. Take care, and let's hope the storms will stay away, so you can carry out the clean-up , and repairs and replacement.
OMG! I'm so sorry guys. I know the farm took a few lumps and batterd bruises. But thank you God for keeping you and your family safe and alive. Bless your hearts. You will rebuild and come back better and stronger together. God bless you all.
Awwh family how very terrifying for you all. That was so fierce. I felt anguished for your safety and the animals at the height of the storm. So sad for guys and the loss and injury to the birds. Very relieved you’re all in one piece. Sending you strength and love. Bless 💕
I'm glad you're all safe and I'm sorry for what was damaged.
Josh and Erin and children my heart just broke to see you Erin shaken and little Ellie crying. You are a strong family and will bounce back from this awful weather experience and Farm and animals will continue to grow and be rich in good health and prosperity.
🙏 🙏 🙏
Live near DC and this storm was nuts for us too. Neighborhood has lots of fallen trees, some on our 1 acre too. Glad your (and my) house survived and everyone is okay. Be safe-
Thank goodness your family and community are safe.
Thank goodness you're safe!
Oh wow!!! I'm heartbroken for you guys. It's devastating!! I'm so glad you're all okay, I was shaking as I watched you all being scared as you ran through the storm. I really hope you can get things fixed up and feel safe and secure again. Thank heaven your home wasn't damaged xxxx
