Fantastic, astounding work !!! I attended that final, live of course. I was 15 (I'm 375 days younger than Gigliola 😉). At the beginning, the belgian speaker announced (I try to translate from French) : "Here, in Denmark, people speak in Danish which is questionned to be a language or a tongue desease ?" Some nice songs : a very good year. 😍
This is as much as we will probably ever have from the 1964 Contest. What a terrific job! Thank you very much for your hard work, on behalf of all of the amateur Eurovision historians across Europe. Best wishes from London
I was 16 years old - like the winner. I am standing on top of the ladder in uniform and play the signal trumpet. Happy memories. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic! This is the best restoration of this lost Contest that I have ever seen - or even dared to hope for. Have you been in contact with the EBU? I'm sure they would appreciate this masterpiece. You are a truly professional video editor. 100% amazing job!
i'm doing a watch through of all of the editions of the ESC and this was SUCH a treat to find! I'm taking a bunch of notes on each year and so many of my notes this year are commending your amazing job of bringing this show to life. from collecting the photos and clips and then colorizing them, to adding the names of the songs in the corner when they were introduced, to adding the candid photos and clips during the interval act. and adding a scoreboard overlay! i really want to say, well done. i really appreciate the work you put into this project.
Excellent colourisation of this classic contest from Copenhagen. The only thing that spoils it is the 21st century format of the scoreboard where the countries keep moving around. Otherwise, well done!
I’m danish and born in 1964 and listening to Lotte Wævers perfect television Danish is just pure joy - they knew how to speak proper Danish in those days..!
This is SO COOL. Thank you for your work on this! The video for this content is my number one "I hope it is found" piece of lost media. One of my favorite contests alongside '63, '71 and '73!
Hello man! Great job here, thanks to u I've enjoyed this year so much. Have u thought about doing this with other old years? If u can improve the sound and the image's quality...would be GREAT. Greetings from Spain
This is absolutely incredible work here! It's wonderful! Would you mind if I used this footage in a future video about my personal Top List of this year, as well as my recap videos? I give you credit in my Top List video of course.
Thank you! For most of the skins I used an AI-colorizer, since it's the most difficult thing to replicate and some AI software colorizes it pretty good (though not perfect, I have to edit it) and, for everything else (stage, clothes, etc.), any program similar to Photoshop can be used, so it's a mix of AI and, mostly, colorization "by hand" :) For the colour videos, I colorized some (many) frames with the method from before and used EBSynth to make the colour frames match the video + [any video editing program of your choice] to adjust everything
I would like to ask if there is any way you could post this in black and white... I know it may seem strange but even though I congratulate you on this amazing job, I prefer the original black and white transmission
For a black and white version, I recommend you check out JejTheDoodle23's reconstruction! Rendering the entire video was very demanding for my laptop, so I don't think I'll be able to upload my video in black and white.
thank you so much - it looks amazing. so sad there is no complete version of this show. how come there tiny snippets (i.e. Belgian beginning?) - where you found these?
The three main sources for the videos were VRT (the Belgian one + other fragments), DR (Danmarks Radio with the band, the host speaking, the reprise from above + the short interview with the host) and YLE (the broadcast itself with the winner award and part of her reprise)

You’ve just given a spectacular perspective without B&W. It’s a shame cuz i loved ESC 1964 as well through the venue and brilliant songs.
Congratulations with this wonderful video!!! And fully agree with you: 1964 gave us many wonderful Eurovision songs. This granddad has even 5 winners.
Love it to see it is colorized, It gives a warmer feeling for some reason! 🇩🇰
OMG it's incredible the quality looks soooo good, congratulations all the fans of ESC in the world will be grateful with you bro
