When we see evidence of heat damage to a press connecter (stay con, blade or other) on a circuit board there's a very good chance that the solder joint to the board got hot enough to be damaged and become a cold joint, or cracked. If that board isn't going to be replaced, then it's good to carry solder, and a good grade of flux. Not the flux you use to solder pipes but rather for electronics.. Take it apart to get to the back side as well as the front, brush it up good using a softer brush, fiberglass, or brass, etc. Clean it with flux and then re-solder the joint using plenty of flux to get the solder to flow properly on the board as well as the blade connector. Use care. Don't damage the trace on the board. It's also good to find out why so much current was flowing through the connection to cause the damage in the first place. If the board feeds some load through a relay or whatever make sure it's not pulling too much current. Always remember that damage had a cause, sometimes it's due to under engineering, but don't assume that.
Yeah I have taken apart those True Controllers. Not exactly something I would attempt to field service. I even had my board guy take it apart, it was a big "nope" from him too. The electronics are super tight, small and not worth the trouble. Replace it.
R-290 stinks to work on. Also, True has changed their temp controls twice within the last year. They actually had to design their own current control after the company they used for them couldn't hang. It's been a crazy year for True.
Probably doesn't work...common problem on GMs. I replaced the sending unit/fuel pump assembly 3 times on my Astro over 500K miles, twice for failed sending unit.
Morning Dave . Good video . Yup the image quality seems much better with the iPhone .
LAPG Atlas pants with the added knee pads. Always on, never know when I'm going to have to "bow down" during my day.
Here in DC it's not tailgating until you can't see their head lights, they are so close to your bumper. LOL
Best Part of walking up is Some Nor-cal when you walk up, PLUS COFFEE sunday church thanks Dave -
I love his license plates like i think about it everyday. You should do a video on the license plate and people reactions . Thx for video

True fridges wago central
My boss hates wagos prefers crimps
Can see why wago are used so easy to use crimps are time consuming
True uses wagos because the line workers can use them without skills.
