Enjoy your videos and travel. We are finishing up our PROMASTER Extended Long van right now. We spent 13 yrs at sea on ANGEL LOUISE and are wowed how the knowhow from each combines into the work on the other. Thanks

Oh very nice!! Yes, the skills certainly do cross over- nice to start with a blank slate in a van though versus an old boat 😉 Hope you enjoy the land cruising!

Beautiful area, I remember driving a big truck (tractor-trailer) from Flag Staff via 89 to I-15. Loved driving that spooky crossing that big dam. As a trucker, we sit higher off the ground

I remember doing the math and trying to figure out how to make an all electric system work on my bus and realizing it really wouldn’t at least in the pnw during the winter. It’s always cool to see van builds that have made it work!

An important key is using residential quality panels instead of RV quality panels. And staying out from under the clouds :-)

The fast charging/no slow absorption phase on the lithium makes a big difference too! No matter how much power you’re making, a lead acid or agm can only take a little at a time, unfortunately, so you need hours of constant sun, which can be hard to come by.

@@AdventureAdriftSailing So much power on a 12V battery is another benefit of Lithium. I think that would be difficult for similar AmpHr Pb battery. And the lifecycle cost of lithium is less than Pb.

Love you vlog. I have only been as far south as Moab many years ago and chartered a plane to fly down to Monument Valley. Now I'm retired and plan to explore Utah a lot more in a year or two. I live in Indiana. Can you tell me what was the road number you took that was dirt, and so many tight turns and such a great view.

Sunline24. That is UT State Road 261. Part of the "Trail of the Ancients". The unpaved section is the Moki Dugway. A fabulous and historic part of the San Juan/Colorado River canyons. We could spend our entire retirement exploring this area if we weren't cruising!

John has you covered on the road info! Utah is SUCH a beautiful part of the country with such unique scenery... We'd love to go back and explore more as well :)

@@AdventureAdriftSailing I had planed to go all over the south west this last Fall. But the Rona screwed that up.

@@AdventureAdriftSailing Thanks. Im thinking of installing an Isotemp marine 6 gallon with heat exchanger from the engine in my van. It has an 800 watt AC element.

They went through Monument Valley which is approx 100 miles west of Shiprock . On another note , if you should experience any extra stress or tension from these "difficult times" . . . ( ha - ha ) , you may find listening to most any one of Angelina Jordan's ( 130 + ) performances refreshing ! This one has a tendency to get you 'feeling good' . . . .
