I second third and forth the comments before me that we are happy to see you back. Sailing, driving or just plain old adventure.... I’m in.... looking forward to see what’s coming. Cheers and best wishes to you both from Olympia WA.
So nice to see this. It’s been awhile since I checked in with you guys! We are also back on the road in our 1986 winnebago. Looking forward to meeting y’all in real life one of these days!
Hey...it may not be a boat, but I love to watch projects come to fruition. So this will be a fun change up. Thanks for documenting it. Looking forward to more videos.
Hello you two! Hmmmm... a land boat, ok it'll do for now, but get back on a water boat soon. I love you guys and I know given the circumstances you are doing what you can. Keep on keepin on, peace!
Disappointed that the knowledge on boats did not play more. Trouble with windows is you may not want to see out and people can see in. Better a hatch that brings ventilation and light and no one sees you or the lights on. Security and safety are with the hatch. Whats with avoiding plywood and a composite floor. Anchored and removable units make more sense. Nice choice of a great vehicle.
Hmmm.. not sure what you mean about knowledge from boats, we applied most of what we've learned from boats! The design was mostly done by Siena, and being able to have a bit of a view outside is nice. There's always curtains for privacy. Most of the roof is covered with solar for us.
@@AdventureAdriftSailing Boats don't like windows. I don't like noisy parkers coming up and looking in my windows. Hatches scoop the air. It's just my humble opinion
I assume that the vertical brace in the center of the area of the window install is a stiffener in the base van and it's positioned to allow for various in-factory window configurations. Do you have any concerns that removing that brace will impact the handling of the finished van? Might be worth consulting the manufacturer about what they do to the body if a customer orders a window that size. Maybe nothing, but might be worth checking it out.
Seriously, the window was designed for that particular vehicle for that spot. It's structure takes the place of the inner rib that was cut out. It is fine, guys, don't worry. Let's leave the engineering to the...engineers...
@@seanobrien7169 Fair enough. But, two quick comments: They solicit comments so I offered mine. Oh, AND I am an engineer (retired from the auto industry). I will now return to leaving the comments to whomever.
@@JLSOhio51 Maybe you are, and maybe I am a civil war general that fought at Gettysburg... I mean, it IS the internet, right? It was kind of a stupid comment for an engineer...
Those that were supporting them before their break knew what they were doing, because they told everyone in their video. One, they spent time selling two boats. Two, they both started working. Three, Ty had serious back surgery. Four they bought a new boat. Five, in the middle of all that there was this global pandemic going on. During the break they didn’t release any videos that would cause a charge to Patreon, so earned no money that way.
@Henry Wilkinson Henry...You called me stupid, but you obviously have zero reading comprehension. You were just told that patreons were aware of what was going on. I am not even a patreon and I was aware they were working jobs, selling boats and taking a step back. If they hurt your feelings I am sure they are sorry. Let it go. If you hold a grudge then go away. Your views and comments are supporting them. You are also making yourself look like a lovestruck 15 year old girl. Grow a pair, man!
That is totally awesome your building at with your daughter can't wait for the rest of the videos it's really going to be good
