Hey bro. I think this was tested in the past before. The additional or reduction of drag pull depends on the rod action and the angle of the rod against the line pulled. Same rod power with different action was tested and it affected the drag being pulled. also the angle the rod will also affected the drag. The proper test is 45° angle (before you overstressed the blank) from the line being pulled. if lesser the angle, the lesser the drag will be. Another that was being done was the number of guides and also the material of the guide being done and then the line that was used dragging against the guides. Its super complicated research being done actually but very interesting. I tried to find the research but couldn't.
Hey bro, We wanted to try with different angle to see if there is any percentage increase to different angles as well. Actually we thought of doing it on different rods and also same rods with different action as well. But i think to do that, would need sponsors 😂 But in future we will do more of these. Testing out theories and all. Quite interesting and fun!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I was actually wondering what if you swap the reel. Your reel to Kevin's rod and his reel to your rod. Some people made claims that the reel is the one that makes the difference due to the smoothness of the drag... what do you think?
Welcome! I think what people meant if its jerky then it might cause the stress to the line. Or if the initial drag is higher when the reel is not as smooth.
Good nice video.... i still thinking abt the drag reader, reading rod with reel full lock pull or reel lock full pull? I have seen before those pro digital pull and push reader, which also approve by gov per-yearly checking suction, i also never think of that to check on my fishing gear.😅 Your video also got good point show. N/force.
@@jasonchew79 thank you bro! But yeah, we wanted to try higher drag but sadly got some line cut. Never bring tools to assist us that day but will definitely do one on high drag!
@tiotiotiofishing yes of course it will be interesting. Nowadays with soo many rods with different prices and different materials, im sure if you create this video it will be successful since the video would answer a lot of viewer's questions

@@HelestiaZ lets try it out! Do some experiment on it. Wanna see on the future vids? Do you think this is interesting subject?
